New-age music is a genre of music intended to create artistic inspiration, relaxation, and optimism. It is used by listeners for yoga, massage, meditation, and reading as a method of stress management or to create a peaceful atmosphere in their home or other environments, and is associated with environmentalism and New Age spirituality. The harmonies in new-age music include a drone bass, and are often structured as variations on a theme. The music often contains recorded sounds of nature and used as an introduction to a track or throughout the piece.
Some relaxation methods can also be used during other activities, for example, autosuggestion and prayer. At least one study has suggested that listening to certain types of music, particularly New Age music and classical music, can increase feelings associated with relaxation, such as peacefulness and a sense of ease.

Second video of the 'Quiet Cy-Fi' ('cyber fiction') project, a series of audio ambiences, flavoured with a cyber\tech\futuristic atmosphere.
Calm, lulling, introspective, immersive, a bit mysterious perhaps.
In this ambience, you sit at the main terminal of a server room in the futuristic basement floor of a data-center, with no one around except you and the (very, very) droning machines. You dig in the endless mole of information flowing in the flashing nano-circuits.

One final note:
I, personally, find this kind of stuff immensely helpful for any kind of concentrated (studying, working etc.) and/or relaxed state of mind. I also find it particularly good for immersion (writing, rpg etc.).
Of course it is a personal preference of mine, and I have created this ambience primarly for myself, but I really wished to share it in case there could be other people benefiting from this project.

"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." Are you a true Ravenclaw? Can you answer the riddle asked by the bronze eagle door knocker? **CLICK TO VIEW MORE** Ravenclaw Tower serves as the common room for students in Ravenclaw house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is located on the west side of Hogwarts at the top of a spiral staircase, presumably located on the fifth floor, and is a door without a doorknob or keyhole, but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the room, a person must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker; if they answer incorrectly, they must wait for someone else who gets it right. It is a wide, circular room with a midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with blue and bronze silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. During the day, Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the school grounds, including the lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains. The room is furnished with tables, chairs, and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white marble. Ravelclaw Tower is gorgeous, peaceful and very romantic, in my opinion. The sound of wind whistling around the windows of the tower is relaxing while going to sleep, and all the books keep your mind agile and your curiosities satisfied. But why is the Grey Lady looking so sad when she glides gracefully over the room? Why is the heavenly chorale comforting yet somber? Intelligent Ravenclaws, you have such bright future. One final note:
I, personally, find this kind of stuff immensely helpful for any kind of concentrated (studying, working etc.) and/or relaxed state of mind. I also find it particularly good for immersion (writing, rpg etc.).
Of course it is a personal preference of mine, and I have created this ambience primarly for myself, but I really wished to share it in case there could be other people benefiting from this project.

One final note:
I, personally, find this kind of stuff immensely helpful for any kind of concentrated (studying, working etc.) and/or relaxed state of mind. I also find it particularly good for immersion (writing, rpg etc.).
Of course it is a personal preference of mine, and I have created this ambience primarly for myself, but I really wished to share it in case there could be other people benefiting from this project.

"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." Are you a true Ravenclaw? Can you answer the riddle asked by the bronze eagle door knocker? **CLICK TO VIEW MORE**
Ravenclaw Tower serves as the common room for students in Ravenclaw house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is located on the west side of Hogwarts at the top of a spiral staircase, presumably located on the fifth floor, and is a door without a doorknob or keyhole, but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the room, a person must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker; if they answer incorrectly, they must wait for someone else who gets it right.
It is a wide, circular room with a midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with blue and bronze silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. During the day, Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the school grounds, including the lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains. The room is furnished with tables, chairs, and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white marble.
Ravelclaw Tower is gorgeous, peaceful and very romantic, in my opinion. The sound of wind whistling around the windows of the tower is relaxing while going to sleep, and all the books keep your mind agile and your curiosities satisfied. But why is the Grey Lady looking so sad when she glides gracefully over the room? Why is the heavenly chorale comforting yet somber? Intelligent Ravenclaws, you have such bright future. Are you ready to join the rest of school and face the grave danger that is glooming over Hogwarts?

Two inches (5 cm) of snow is enough to create serious disruptions to traffic and school transport (because of the difficulty to drive and maneuver the school buses on slick roads). This is particularly true in places where snowfall is not typical but heavy accumulating snowfalls can occur. In places where snowfall is typical, such small snowfalls are rarely disruptive, because of effective snow and ice removal by municipalities, increased use of four-wheel drive and snow tires, and drivers being more used to winter conditions. Snowfalls in excess of 6 inches (15 cm) are usually universally disruptive.
A massive snowstorm with strong winds and other conditions meeting certain criteria is known as a blizzard. A large number of heavy snowstorms, some of which were blizzards, occurred in the United States during 1888 and 1947 as well as the early and mid-1990s. The snowfall of 1947 exceeded 2 feet (61 cm) with drifts and snow piles from plowing that reached 12 feet (3.7 m) and for months, temperatures did not rise high enough to melt the snow. The 1993 "Superstorm" manifested as a blizzard in most of the affected areas.
Large snowstorms could be quite dangerous: a 6 in (15 cm) snowstorm will make some unplowed roads impassable, and it is possible for automobiles to get stuck in the snow. Snowstorms exceeding 12 in (30 cm) especially in southern or generally warm climates will cave the roofs of some homes and cause the loss of electricity. Standing dead trees can also be brought down by the weight of the snow, especially if it is wet or very dense. Even a few inches of dry snow can form drifts many feet high under windy conditions.
