Brindley is a village (at SJ592534) and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village lies 3¾ miles to the west of Nantwich. The parish also includes the settlements of Brindley Lea, Ryders Bank and part of Radmore Green, with a total population of a little under 150. Nearby villages include Barbridge, Burland, Haughton and Faddiley.
The name Brindley means "a burnt clearing". The township does not appear in the Domesday survey, the first mention of Brindley being in 1288. Brindley fell within the ancient parish of Acton and was once part of the manor of Baddiley. Landowners included Willis Allen in 1656, Sir Thomas Mainwaring and Sir Thomas Brereton in 1671, and the Wilbraham and Tomkinson families from 1798.
Medieval landowners
In medieval times Brindley township and the Norman landowners that took its name were called: Burndelegh, Birnedelegh, Burendeleg, Brundelegh, Brundeley, Brundylegh and later in Tudor times until the 18th century, 'Brundley', eventually evolving to the modern Brindley.

Brindley and Foster Organ Restored in Edinburgh, Scotland
In this video, we hear about the 1913 Brindley and Foster pipe organ in downtown Edinburgh, Scotland, and about the technical aspects of the organ that make it unique, from two technicians with the firm Forth Pipe Organs, who have maintained, and now have restored this pipe organ to its original 1913 condition. Also in this video, Simon Nieminski, the organist who played the re-opening and re-dedication concert of this organ in March, 2010, is heard playing the opening track (Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute) from his new Pro Organo CD, entitled "The Organ at the Grand Lodge." -

Also in this video, Simon Nieminski, the organist who played the re-opening and re-dedication concert of this organ in March, 2010, is heard playing the opening track (Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute) from his new Pro Organo CD, entitled "The Organ at the Grand Lodge."

Road trip through the Outer Banks, NC. We traveled from Atlanta to Carolina Beach (Freeman Park/North End). We camped on the beach for a couple days. Then headed north and took the ferry over to Ocracoke, NC. Then we slowly worked our way north to Carova Beach (on the NC/VA state line). Total of 1439 miles round trip. This video highlights some of the many species we saw in our short two day visit to Costa Rica's wildest corner, the Osa Peninsula. We take a night walk from Luna Lodge, charter a plane into Corcovado National Park, and take a dolphin tour from Puerto Jimenez into the Golfo Dulce.
