Sessions:
Bulletproof Mobile Applications Built with Oracle
Mobile Application Framework
Topic:
ADF and
MAF - Subtopic: Advanced
Mobile Development
Mobile applications bring many new security challenges to enterprise IT. Devices can be easily lost, and data security can be compromised. IT also must integrate mobile application security with enterprise security infrastructure, so security policies can be consistently applied across mobile and enterprise application back ends. In this session, we will discuss the common security challenges for enterprises going mobile and the end-to-end mobile security architecture that meets these challenges and tightly integrates with enterprise security infrastructure. We will then focus on the different authentication options for the Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF), configure and leverage
Access Control features in the framework, and learn how to encrypt local database and communication channels for the Mobile Application Framework. Lastly, we will demonstrate how to leverage
Mobile Application Management (
MAM) solutions to deploy MAF applications and enforce
Data Leak Protection (
DLP) policies.
Session
Hands-On
Training: Mobile Made Simpler with Oracle Mobile
Cloud Service
Topic: ADF and MAF - Subtopic: Mobile for
Beginners
Attend this session to learn how Oracle Mobile Cloud Service can unify and simplify your approach to enterprise mobility. Define and build a mobile back, and leverage platform
APIs for capabilities such as push notification, storage, and mobile user management.
At the end of the lab, you will understand how Oracle Mobile Cloud Service can insulate mobile developers from complex back-end infrastructure while enabling them to focus on creating killer apps.
Session
New Core and
Sync Services in the Oracle Mobile Application Framework: What
Does It
Mean for Developers
Topic: ADF and MAF - Subtopic: Advanced Mobile Development
Oracle Mobile Application Framework infrastructure has undergone a complete refresh. This includes updates to
Java SE8 and support for
Cordova 3.x. While some of these changes are transparent to the developer, these updates do greatly expand what developers can do with Mobile Application Framework. In this session, we will cover details of these infrastructure updates, and what developers should do to stay compatible and leverage the new features in these infrastructure services. We will also discuss the user
interface components enhancements, such as new
Data Visualization components, new layout components, etc. We will then detail the new data synchronization services and the persistence layer, which allows the developer to quickly build offline-capable mobile applications. Lastly, we will cover the new declarative support to consume
REST JSON services.
