Javier Solís (September 1, 1931, Mexico City, Mexico[1] April 19, 1966, Mexico City, Mexico) was a popular Mexican singer of boleros and rancheras, and film actor of the middle 20th century.
Born Gabriel Siria Levario, Javier Solis became known as one of the most recognized Mariachi solo artists in Mexico. Coming from humble beginnings, at a young age Solis had to drop out of school to help support his family. He trained as an amateur boxer for six years with aspirations of turning professional, but quit after his father urged him to choose a more "decent" career. The young man used to sing in local competitions for small prizes (such as a pair of new shoes), but was eventually banned from participating because he so dominated the competition.
At age 16, Solis went to Puebla, Mexico to sing with Mariachi Metepec, but it wasn't until years later when Julito Rodriguez and Alfredo Gil of the trio Los Panchos heard him singing at a local bar that he got his first break as a recording artist. They took him to audition with CBS records where he signed a recording contract and cut his first album in 1950. His first hit, "Lloraras," came two years later and prompted his producer Felipe Valdes Leal to give him the name Javier Solis. The vocalist came to international acclaim in 1957, making appearances in the United States, Central, and South America. Solis was the first to sing songs in a style now known as "Boleros-Rancheras." He sang boleros typically associated with trio music but now accompanied by mariachis, also adding waltzes and tangos to his repertoire as a prolific interpreter of many styles of music.
Not content with simply performing as a recording artist, Solis began his acting career in 1959; filming more than 20 movies with stars such as Maria Victoria, Lola Beltran, and Luis Aguilar. Javier Solís
Javier Solís (September 1, 1931 – April 19, 1966) was a popular Mexican singer of boleros and rancheras as well as a movie actor.
Early history
Javier Solís was born Gabriel Siria Levario, the first of three children of Francisco Siria Mora, a baker/butcher, and Juana Levario Plata, a trader. Juana had a stall at a public market and as her spouse had allegedly abandoned her, she had little time save for work. After a time, she decided to leave her son at the household of his uncle Valentín Levario Plata and his wife, Ángela López Martínez, whom Gabriel considered his real parents.
Siria had to drop out of school before his teens to support his family, after the death of his aunt Angela. Due to his aunt's death Gabriel only completed the first five years of primary school in Tacubaya in Mexico City, where he used to participate in singing contests. After dropping out of school he worked collecting bones and glass. Later he worked in a supermarket transporting merchandise. He worked as a baker, a butcher, a carpenters helper and a car washer. In his spare time, he trained as an amateur boxer, with aspirations of going professional, but after suffering a few defeats, he was urged to work at something "more decent".

Mexico City (Spanish: Ciudad de México

Music Unlimited
Music Unlimited, formerly Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity (pronounced as "curiosity"), was an on-demand music streaming service provided by Sony, and powered by Omnifone.
The service was part of the Sony Entertainment Network, and expanded into European markets by the end of 2010. By January 2012, it had over 1 million active users and 15 million songs. At the launch of the PS4, the service has over 22 million songs.
Sony launched a new streaming service, PlayStation Music, in partnership with Spotify in early 2015, and Music Unlimited was closed down in favour of the new service on March 29, 2015.
History
The music service, branded as Music Unlimited, was launched in December 2010 in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It launched in the United States in early January 2011, and in France, Italy, Germany and Spain in late January 2011. It launched in Australia and New Zealand in February 2011.
The service was suspended worldwide in April 2011 along with the PlayStation Network outage, but resumed in mid-May.

At age 16, Solis went to Puebla, Mexico to sing with Mariachi Metepec, but it wasn't until years later when Julito Rodriguez and Alfredo Gil of the trio Los Panchos heard him singing at a local bar that he got his first break as a recording artist. They took him to audition with CBS records where he signed a recording contract and cut his first album in 1950. His first hit, "Lloraras," came two years later and prompted his producer Felipe Valdes Leal to give him the name Javier Solis. The vocalist came to international acclaim in 1957, making appearances in the United States, Central, and South America. Solis was the first to sing songs in a style now known as "Boleros-Rancheras." Javier Solís (September 1, 1931, Mexico City, Mexico[1] April 19, 1966, Mexico City, Mexico) was a popular Mexican singer of boleros and rancheras, and film actor of the middle 20th century.
Born Gabriel Siria Levario, Javier Solis became known as one of the most recognized Mariachi solo artists in Mexico. Coming from humble beginnings, at a young age Solis had to drop out of school to help support his family. He trained as an amateur boxer for six years with aspirations of turning professional, but quit after his father urged him to choose a more "decent" career. The young man used to sing in local competitions for small prizes (such as a pair of new shoes), but was eventually banned from participating because he so dominated the competition.
At age 16, Solis went to Puebla, Mexico to sing with Mariachi Metepec, but it wasn't until years later when Julito Rodriguez and Alfredo Gil of the trio Los Panchos heard him singing at a local bar that he got his first break as a recording artist. They took him to audition with CBS records where he signed a recording contract and cut his first album in 1950.
