We had a fantastic Road Trip to the Orkney Islands and John o'Groats. We explored both places on our Triumph Scrambler motorbikes- awesome day tour and used our drone to make the most of some incredible views.
Did you know the Orkney Islands are actually just called Orkney? Neither did we until we got there. Such a warm and friendly place and we were lucky to have spectacular weather. We also took our motorbikes to John o'Groats- fulfilling a long held ambition of ours. It was so cool to drive them up to the post and take photos!
This trip was part of our Motorhome Tour of Scotland in 2017. We towed the motorbikes with us just so we could go exploring on days like this! BUT you can take your motorhome or campervan on the ferry to Orkney- you don't need a motorbike. We have plenty of other travel tips which you might find useful while planning your road trip to Orkney or Scotland.
There was so much incredible scenery and beautiful views to enjoy. We hope you enjoy them too.

In 2017, our family travelled Europe in a motorhome. When we returned, we decided we liked it so much we wanted to do it again! So we traded in the van for a bigger model, quit (one of) our jobs and in 2018 we're heading off to explore Europe again- proper RV living!
We're starting with Germany and then moving on to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and many more. We hope you can follow our journey!

It seems like when a music video comes out, the title that receives all of the credit and travels with a film is that of the director. It's as though the director is the "artist" or "creator" of the music video, when in reality a music video is first a written treatment, produced (putting together ingredients like actors and locations), shot and directed, cut on the editing board and finally color graded. The music might be fine tuned and scored specifically for that film. There are so many variables that are completely equal if not sometimes more complicated than directing, it's a shame that so much credit comes down to whoever fulfills that position. A director wouldn't have shit to direct without a producer. A producer would have nothing to produce without a writer, and so forth.
For our team, I think it's even more complicated because roles tend to cross over. We simply don't work within the conventional hierarchy of the film industry (director, producer, etc.) Sure, people have concrete pre-defined roles based on their expertise, but our team has the remarkable ability to wear multiple hats. Can't Hold Us was a video that showcased this well.
After three months of shooting, finally getting to those last few frames where you reveal the credits, it's a tense moment. There isn't exactly a sensible way to do it, if we're trying to fit people into classic film roles. It leads me to the point that although we do our best to give people titles, this was a video fully created by seven individuals at the forefront. Take any of those people out of the equation, you'd be watching a very different video. I write this in hopes that you don't fall under the illusion that one person creates a music video, particularly at the Macklemore camp. We are constantly challenging and enhancing each others ideas and I take pride in believing that's the reason we make great videos. - Ryan Lewis

Merlin is a legendary figure best known as the wizard featured in Arthurian legend. The standard depiction of the character first appears in Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae, written c. 1136, and is based on an amalgamation of previous historical and legendary figures. Geoffrey combined existing stories of Myrddin Wyllt (Merlinus Caledonensis), a North Brythonic prophet and madman with no connection to King Arthur, with tales of the Romano-British war leader Ambrosius Aurelianus to form the composite figure he called Merlin Ambrosius (Welsh: Myrddin Emrys). He is allegedly buried in the Broceliande forest, near Paimpont in Brittany.
Geoffrey's rendering of the character was immediately popular, especially in Wales. Later writers expanded the account to produce a fuller image of the wizard. Merlin's traditional biography casts him as a cambion: born of a mortal woman, sired by an incubus, the non-human from whom he inherits his supernatural powers and abilities. The name of Merlin's mother is not usually stated but is given as Adhan in the oldest version of the Prose Brut. Merlin matures to an ascendant sagehood and engineers the birth of Arthur through magic and intrigue. Later authors have Merlin serve as the king's advisor until he is bewitched and imprisoned by the Lady of the Lake.

Merlin (protein)
Merlin (also called Neurofibromin 2 or schwannomin) is a cytoskeletal protein. In humans, it is a tumor suppressor protein involved in Neurofibromatosis type II. Sequence data reveal its similarity to the ERM protein family.
The name "merlin" is an acronym for "Moesin-Ezrin-Radixin-Like Protein".
Gene
Human merlin is coded by the gene NF2 in Chromosome 22. Mouse merlin gene is located on chromosome 11 and rat merlin gene on chromosome 17. Fruit fly merlin gene (symbol Mer) is located on chromosome 1 and shares 58% similarity to its human homologue. Other merlin-like genes are known from a wide range of animals, and the derivation of merlin is thought to be in early metazoa. Merlin is a member of the ERM family of proteins including ezrin, moesin, and radixin, which are in the protein 4.1 superfamily of proteins. Merlin is also known as schwannomin, a name derived from the most common type of tumor in the NF2 patient phenotype, the schwannoma.
Structure
Vertebrate merlin is a 70-kDa protein. There are 10 known isoforms of human merlin molecule (the full molecule being 595 amino acids in length). The two most common these are also found in the mouse and are called type 1 and type 2, differing by the absence or presence of exon 16 or 17, respectively). All the known varieties have a conserved N-terminal part, which contains a FERM domain (a domain found in most cytoskeletal-membrane organizing proteins). The FERM domain is followed by an alpha-helical domain and a hydrophilic tail. Merlin can dimerize with itself and heterodimerize with other ERM family proteins.

The Sword in the Stone (film)
The Sword in the Stone is a 1963 American animated fairy tale film produced by Walt Disney and originally released to theaters on December 25, 1963 by Buena Vista Distribution. It was the final Disney animated film released before Walt Disney's death. The songs in the film were written and composed by the Sherman Brothers, who later wrote music for other Disney films like Mary Poppins (1964), The Jungle Book (1967), and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971).
The film is based on the novel of the same name, first published in 1938 as a single novel. It was later republished in 1958 as the first book of T. H. White's tetralogy The Once and Future King.
Plot
After the King of England, Uther Pendragon, dies, leaving no heir to the throne, a sword appears inside an anvil in London. The sword bears an inscription proclaiming that whoever removes it will be the new king. No one can remove the sword, which is eventually forgotten, leaving England in the Dark Ages.
Years later, a 12-year-old orphan named Arthur, commonly called Wart, accidentally scares off a deer his foster brother Kay was hunting, causing Kay to launch his arrow into the forest. In retrieving the arrow, Arthur lands in the cottage of Merlin the wizard, who declares himself Arthur's tutor and returns with the boy to his home, a castle run by Sir Ector, Arthur's foster father. Ector's friend, Sir Pellinore, arrives with news that the annual jousting tournament will be held on New Year's Day in London, and the winner will be crowned king. Ector decides to put Kay through serious training for the tournament and appoints Arthur as Kay's squire.

ROAD TRIP | Orkney Islands & John o'Groats | Motorbike Tour Scotland | Wandering Bird Adventures
We had a fantastic Road Trip to the Orkney Islands and John o'Groats. We explored both places on our Triumph Scrambler motorbikes- awesome day tour and used our drone to make the most of some incredible views. Did you know the Orkney Islands are actually just called Orkney? Neither did we until we got there. Such a warm and friendly place and we were lucky to have spectacular weather. This trip was part of our Motorhome Tour of Scotland in 2017. We towed the motorbikes with us just so we could go exploring on days like this! BUT you can take your motorhome or campervan on the ferry to Orkney- you don't need a motorbike. We have plenty of other travel tips which you might find useful while planning your road trip to Orkney or Scotland.
There was so much incredible scenery and beautiful views to enjoy. We hope you enjoy them too.

In 2017, our family travelled Europe in a motorhome. When we returned, we decided we liked it so much we wanted to do it again! So we traded in the van for a bigger model, quit (one of) our jobs and in 2018 we're heading off to explore Europe again- proper RV living!
We're starting with Germany and then moving on to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and many more. We hope you can follow our journey!

It's as though the director is the "artist" or "creator" of the music video, when in reality a music video is first a written treatment, produced (putting together ingredients like actors and locations), shot and directed, cut on the editing board and finally color graded. The music might be fine tuned and scored specifically for that film. There are so many variables that are completely equal if not sometimes more complicated than directing, it's a shame that so much credit comes down to whoever fulfills that position. A director wouldn't have shit to direct without a producer. A producer would have nothing to produce without a writer, and so forth.
For our team, I think it's even more complicated because roles tend to cross over. We simply don't work within the conventional hierarchy of the film industry (director, producer, etc.) Sure, people have concrete pre-defined roles based on their expertise, but our team has the remarkable ability to wear multiple hats. Can't Hold Us was a video that showcased this well.
After three months of shooting, finally getting to those last few frames where you reveal the credits, it's a tense moment. There isn't exactly a sensible way to do it, if we're trying to fit people into classic film roles. It leads me to the point that although we do our best to give people titles, this was a video fully created by seven individuals at the forefront. Take any of those people out of the equation, you'd be watching a very different video. I write this in hopes that you don't fall under the illusion that one person creates a music video, particularly at the Macklemore camp. We are constantly challenging and enhancing each others ideas and I take pride in believing that's the reason we make great videos. - Ryan Lewis

We had a fantastic Road Trip to the Orkney Islands and John o'Groats. We explored both places on our Triumph Scrambler motorbikes- awesome day tour and used our drone to make the most of some incredible views.
Did you know the Orkney Islands are actually just called Orkney? Neither did we until we got there. Such a warm and friendly place and we were lucky to have spectacular weather. We also took our motorbikes to John o'Groats- fulfilling a long held ambition of ours. It was so cool to drive them up to the post and take photos!
This trip was part of our Motorhome Tour of Scotland in 2017. We towed the motorbikes with us just so we could go exploring on days like this! BUT you can take your motorhome or campervan on the ferry to Orkney- you don't need a motorbike. We have plenty of other travel tips which you might find useful while planning your road trip to Orkney or Scotland.
There was so much incredible scenery and beautiful views to enjoy. We hope you enjoy them too.

In 2017, our family travelled Europe in a motorhome. When we returned, we decided we liked it so much we wanted to do it again! So we traded in the van for a bigger model, quit (one of) our jobs and in 2018 we're heading off to explore Europe again- proper RV living!

It seems like when a music video comes out, the title that receives all of the credit and travels with a film is that of the director. It's as though the director is the "artist" or "creator" of the music video, when in reality a music video is first a written treatment, produced (putting together ingredients like actors and locations), shot and directed, cut on the editing board and finally color graded. The music might be fine tuned and scored specifically for that film. There are so many variables that are completely equal if not sometimes more complicated than directing, it's a shame that so much credit comes down to whoever fulfills that position. A director wouldn't have shit to direct without a producer. A producer would have nothing to produce without a writer, and so forth.
For our team, I think it's even more complicated because roles tend to cross over. We simply don't work within the conventional hierarchy of the film industry (director, producer, etc.) Sure, people have concrete pre-defined roles based on their expertise, but our team has the remarkable ability to wear multiple hats. Can't Hold Us was a video that showcased this well.
After three months of shooting, finally getting to those last few frames where you reveal the credits, it's a tense moment. There isn't exactly a sensible way to do it, if we're trying to fit people into classic film roles. Pitch Livre III - Tome 1 :
Britannia, Ve siècle après Jésus-Christ. Arthur, Roi de Bretagne, est en proie au doute.
Insatisfait par son mariage avec Guenièvre, il délaisse le lit conjugal et se réfugie de plus en plus souvent chez ses maîtresses.
La quête du Graal est au point mort. Les chevaliers Perceval et Karadoc préfèrent la fréquentation de la taverne à celle de la table ronde. L’autoritaire Léodagan ne supporte plus les idées progressistes du Roi. Merlin, magicien du Royaume, ne peut masquer son incapacité à user de ses pouvoirs.
Lancelot du Lac, déçu par le manque de charisme de son Roi, retourne partiellement à son statut de chevalier errant. Des bruits persistants courent sur une violente dispute avec Arthur.
L’argent manque dans les caisses, la paysannerie se rebelle, les complots, les attentats et les attaques militaires deviennent quotidiennes. L’armée romaine se retire progressivement de l’île de Bretagne.
Arthur, parti avec ses hommes dans la forêt, ressent une présence mystérieuse.
Pitch général : Ve siècle après Jésus-Christ. L'Angleterre s'appelle encore la Bretagne. Le Christianisme naissant, les anciennes traditions celtes s'entrechoquent pendant que l'Empire Romain s'effondre. Au carrefour de l'histoire, le Royaume de Kaamelott apparait alors comme le nouveau phare de la civilisation. Investi d'une mission divine, le Roi Arthur tente de guider son peuple vers la lumière.

Merlin
Merlin is a legendary figure best known as the wizard featured in Arthurian legend. The standard depiction of the character first appears in Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae, written c. 1136, and is based on an amalgamation of previous historical and legendary figures. Geoffrey combined existing stories of Myrddin Wyllt (Merlinus Caledonensis), a North Brythonic prophet and madman with no connection to King Arthur, with tales of the Romano-British war leader Ambrosius Aurelianus to form the composite figure he called Merlin Ambrosius (Welsh: Myrddin Emrys). He is allegedly buried in the Broceliande forest, near Paimpont in Brittany.
Geoffrey's rendering of the character was immediately popular, especially in Wales. Later writers expanded the account to produce a fuller image of the wizard. Merlin's traditional biography casts him as a cambion: born of a mortal woman, sired by an incubus, the non-human from whom he inherits his supernatural powers and abilities. The name of Merlin's mother is not usually stated but is given as Adhan in the oldest version of the Prose Brut. Merlin matures to an ascendant sagehood and engineers the birth of Arthur through magic and intrigue. Later authors have Merlin serve as the king's advisor until he is bewitched and imprisoned by the Lady of the Lake.
