Ann Tickner has been called one of the most influential scholars of international relations. It’s been over 25 years since Tickner wrote her critical analysis of Hans Morgethau’s realist principles. This article, along with Cynthia Enloe’s book, Bananas Beaches and Bases and Carol Cohn’s article “Sex and death in the rational world of defense intellectuals” might be called the trifecta origins of feminist international relations.
Tickner’s 2014 book A Feminist Voyage Through International Relations reflects on feminist contributions, interventions, and challenges to the field of international relations. This work also treats feminist international relations not simply as a ‘response’ to mainstream international relations, but as a body of scholarship and a body of scholars that has been at the forefront of making sense of the world. In this seminar, J. Ann Tickner will reflect on her book and the legacy and future of feminist international relations. The seminar will involve a question and answer format, with audience members encouraged to participate.

Duncan Fraser
The Very Rev Duncan Fraser DD, MA, JP was Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland from 1964 to 1965.
He was born in Bracadale on 7 August 1903, educated at Portree High School and the University of Edinburgh. He was Minister of Invergordon Kirk from 1929 to 1967; and a Naval Chaplain at the nearby shore base. He died on 16 September 1977.

Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2006 by educator Salman Khan with the aim of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. The organization produces short lectures in the form of YouTube videos. In addition to micro lectures, the organization's website features practice exercises and tools for educators. All resources are available for free to anyone around the world. The main language of the website is English, but the content is also available in other languages.
History
The founder of the organization, Salman Khan, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States to immigrant parents from Bangladesh and India. After earning three degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (a BS in mathematics, a BS in electrical engineering and computer science, and an MEng in electrical engineering and computer science), he pursued an MBA from Harvard Business School.
In late 2004, Khan began tutoring his cousin Nadia who needed help with math using Yahoo!'s Doodle notepad.When other relatives and friends sought similar help, he decided that it would be more practical to distribute the tutorials on YouTube. The videos' popularity and the testimonials of appreciative students prompted Khan to quit his job in finance as a hedge fund analyst at Connective Capital Management in 2009, and focus on the tutorials (then released under the moniker "Khan Academy") full-time.

Long John Baldry
HIDDEN ERROR: Usage of "death_cause" is not recognized
John William "Long John" Baldry (12 January 1941 – 21 July 2005) was an English blues singer and a voice actor. He sang with many British musicians, with Rod Stewart and Elton John appearing in bands led by Baldry in the 1960s. He enjoyed pop success in the UK where Let the Heartaches Begin reached No. 1 in 1967 and in Australia where his duet with Kathi McDonald You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' reached number two in 1980. Baldry lived in Canada from the late 1970s until his death; there he continued to make records and do voiceover work. One of his best known roles in voice acting was as Dr. Robotnik in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Early life
Baldry's birth was registered in Brixworth Registration District in the first quarter of 1941. This District includes East Haddon so it appears certain that this was his birthplace. His mother's maiden name was Parker. His early life was spent in Edgware, Middlesex where he attended Camrose Primary School until the age of 11, after which he attended Downer Grammar School. Just before his death, he attended the school's 40th anniversary celebrations.

Scott McNeil
Scott McNeil (born September 15, 1962) is an Australian-born Canadian actor and voice actor. He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He has provided voices to many characters in animated shows, most notably ReBoot, Beast Wars, Storm Hawks, Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Inuyasha, Ranma ½, Fullmetal Alchemist, X-Men: Evolution, and League of Super Evil. He has done live action work as well.
Early life
He was born in Tawonga, Victoria in Australia, but moved to Vancouver, Canada when he was 4 years old in 1966.
He first appeared on stage at the age of three.
He first learned that people were paid to do different voices after a trip to Disneyland at the age of 12. That is when he learned that Paul Frees, the person who provided the voice that greeted visitors entering the Haunted Mansion, was the same person who provided the voice of the Pillsbury Doughboy.
Even though he knew about voice acting, Scott pursued the theater. He studied at Studio 58. After leaving, he tried to find acting jobs and worked as an Elvis impersonator for a short time. It was in the late eighties when he found himself on his way into the world of voice acting. A casting director at the time told Scott that he had wished that he'd met him a week before; he was casting for the G.I. Joe cartoon.

Lecture: "What has feminism done for International Relations?" by Professor Ann Tickner -- 14 November 2014
Ann Tickner has been called one of the most influential scholars of international relations. It’s been over 25 years since Tickner wrote her critical analysis of Hans Morgethau’s realist principles. This article, along with Cynthia Enloe’s book, Bananas Beaches and Bases and Carol Cohn’s article “Sex and death in the rational world of defense intellectuals” might be called the trifecta origins of feminist international relations.
Tickner’s 2014 book A Feminist Voyage Through International Relations reflects on feminist contributions, interventions, and challenges to the field of international relations. This work also treats feminist international relations not simply as a ‘response’ to mainstream international relations, but as a body of scholarship and a body of scholars that has been at the forefront of making sense of the world. In this seminar, J. Ann Tickner will reflect on her book and the legacy and future of feminist international relations. The seminar will involve a question and answer format, with audience members encouraged to participate.

Ann Tickner has been called one of the most influential scholars of international relations. It’s been over 25 years since Tickner wrote her critical analysis of Hans Morgethau’s realist principles. This article, along with Cynthia Enloe’s book, Bananas Beaches and Bases and Carol Cohn’s article “Sex and death in the rational world of defense intellectuals” might be called the trifecta origins of feminist international relations.
Tickner’s 2014 book A Feminist Voyage Through International Relations reflects on feminist contributions, interventions, and challenges to the field of international relations. This work also treats feminist international relations not simply as a ‘response’ to mainstream international relations, but as a body of scholarship and a body of scholars that has been at the forefront of making sense of the world. A Chihuahua-mix puppy was found in a Las Vegas airport bathroom with a handwritten note detailing that the dog's owner was fleeing from domestic violence and had run out of options, according to CBS News. The dog was found last weekend in the airport bathroom with an anonymous note that read,"My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn't afford me to get on the flight." ... He probably needs a vet ... Abusers — they have no limits."....
