Jean Claude
Jean Claude (1619 – 13 January 1687) was a French Protestant divine.
He was born at La Sauvetat-du-Dropt near Agen. After studying at Montauban, Jean Claude entered the ministry in 1645. For eight years he was professor of theology in the Protestant college of Nîmes; but in 1661, having successfully opposed a scheme for re-uniting Catholics and Protestants, he was forbidden to preach in Lower Languedoc. In 1662 he obtained a post at Montauban similar to that which he had lost, but four years later he was removed from there as well. Next he became pastor at Charenton near Paris, where he engaged in controversies with Pierre Nicole (Réponse aux deux traités intitulés la perpétuité de la foi, 1665), Antoine Arnauld (Réponse au livre de M. Arnauld, 1670), and J.B. Bossuet (Réponse au livre de M. l'évêque de Meaux, 1683).
On the revocation of the edict of Nantes in 1685 Jean Claude fled to the Netherlands where he received a pension from stadtholder William of Orange, who commissioned him to write an account of the persecuted Huguenots (Plaintes des protestants cruellement opprimés dans le royaume de France, 1686). The book was translated into English, but by order of James II of England, both the translation and the original were publicly burnt by the common hangman on the 5th of May 1686, as containing "expressions scandalous to His Majesty the king of France."

Rolul principal este interpretat tot de La Marre. „Evident ca este nevoie de o persoana cu o minte foarte deschisa pentru a-l vedea pe Fiul lui Dumnezeu asa cum nu a fost prezentat niciodata", a declarat actorul. Acesta crede ca filmul este unic din mai multe puncte de vedere: este primul film care il prezinta pe Fiul lui Dumnezeu ca fiind de culoare si primul care introduce ca motiv al crucificarii rasa. En mai 19781, la voiture volée puis abandonnée d'une femme de gendarme est retrouvée dans la forêt de Chantilly avec un plan pour le braquage de la poste de Pierrefonds. Des indices qui se révéleront sciemment laissés par le criminel mettent les forces de l'ordre sur la piste du grand banditisme. Cette trouvaille est rapidement reliée avec l'agression d'une jeune femme de 17 ans à Pont-Sainte-Maxence, puis avec l'incident d'une voiture piégée qui blesse un gendarme à Creil.
Alain Lamare va jusqu'au meurtre, puisque dans la journée du 1er décembre 1978, il tue à Chantilly une jeune fille de 19 ans qu'il avait prise en stop.
Le tueur nargue les militaires en leur envoyant des lettres manuscrites revendiquant les faits. Pire, ses actes semblent montrer une progression en gravité : deux nouvelles agressions de femmes (une blessée grièvement et une paralysée) et le braquage de la poste de Senarpont. Au total, il sera relié avec certitude à un meurtre et cinq tentatives.
L'homme laisse des indices et des empreintes. On établit des portraits-robots mais il arrive à échapper aux forces de l'ordre. Déjà, des doutes sur la proximité entre les forces de l'ordre et le tueur sont soulevés, mais rapidement rejetés car la hiérarchie ne peut pas se résoudre à envisager cela.
