Astrid, Æstriðr, Aestrith, Ástríður, Estrid, or variants is a given name of Old Norse origin.
"Adore You" is a song recorded by American recording artist Miley Cyrus. It is the opening track of her fourth studio album Bangerz (2013) and was released as its third and final single on December 17, 2013 by RCA Records. The song was written and produced by Oren Yoel, with additional songwriting provided by Stacy Barthe. "Adore You" is a pop and R&B ballad, in which Cyrus discusses her affections towards her boyfriend.
Upon its release, "Adore You" received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who complimented its overall production and Cyrus' vocal delivery; it was further recognized as being among the more conservative offerings from the record. Prior to being officially released as a single, the track debuted at number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100; it has since peaked at number 21. The track performed moderately on national record charts throughout Europe and Oceania, with a gold certification in Australia. By comparison with Cyrus' previous singles "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball", the original version of "Adore You" underperformed on several national record charts. The song has sold one million copies todate in the US. The music video for "Adore You" was officially premiered through Vevo on December 26, 2013. It depicts Cyrus suggestively posing in a bed and a bathtub, and is interspersed with night vision footage that appears to simulate a sex tape.
"I Still..." is a song from the Backstreet Boys' fifth studio album, Never Gone. It was the third and final single from the album internationally, except in the United States. The single debuted at number 1 on the Japan International Singles Chart with 20,182 copies (Japan) sold during first week.
The music video depicts the Backstreet Boys in a dark urban setting, with each haunted by memories of the same woman. Each Backstreet Boy is filmed in his own vignette: Richardson is drinking at a bar; Dorough is in a cab; Carter is at a bus station; Littrell is on the road; and McLean is in an alley. The video was directed by Matt McDermitt, whom the Boston Globe reported to be only 19 years old at the time of filming. The music video is noted for its excellent use of slow-motion technique; it was nominated for a TRL Italy video for Best #1 Video.
Peter Pan is a character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie. A mischievous boy who can fly and never grows up, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood having adventures on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the Lost Boys, interacting with mermaids, Native Americans, fairies, pirates, and occasionally ordinary children from the world outside Neverland. In addition to two distinct works by Barrie, the character has been featured in a variety of media and merchandise, both adapting and expanding on Barrie's works. These include an animated film, a dramatic film, a TV series and other works.
J. M. Barrie first used Peter Pan as a character in a section of The Little White Bird (1902), an adult novel.
He returned to that character as the centre of his stage play entitled Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, which premiered on 27 December 1904 in London. The play was highly popular, running to 1913.
Following the success of the 1904 play, Barrie's publishers, Hodder and Stoughton, extracted chapters 13–18 of The Little White Bird and republished them in 1906 under the title Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, with the addition of illustrations by Arthur Rackham.
