Bhavani IPS

Bhavani IPS is a 2011 bilingual, Tamil- and Telugu-language action film directed by G. Kicha and starring Sneha in the titular role as the police officer. The film also has Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sampath and Manoj K. Jayan. Among others in cast are Ilavarasu, Manobala, Rajkapur and Vivek. It is the remake of Vyjayanthi IPS played by Vijayashanti. It was released in Tamil on 11 March 2011.

Plot

Bhavani (Sneha), an honest police officer in Hyderabad, is posted as Assistant Commissioner of police in Tirunelveli upon the request of Tamil Nadu government. The town is controlled by Sivalingam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a rich and influential baddie and an aspiring politician. He indulges in all unlawful activities.

Bhavani resolves to put an end to all his acts. Meanwhile there is one Surya (Sampath Raj), who voices against Sivalingam. As it happens, Sivalingam's son Ranjith (Aryan) plays spoilsport in the life of Bhavani's sister, Deepa (Yasmin Khan). Efforts to prove him guilty by Bhavani end in vain.

Kota Srinivasa Rao

Kota Srinivasa Rao is an Indian film actor, known for his works primarily in Telugu Cinema, and theatre. He has also starred in few films in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. A former politician, Rao, has served as MLA from Vijayawada East assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh, India from 1999–2004. He made his debut with the Telugu film Pranam Khareedu in 1978. Rao is one of the finest method actors of contemporary Telugu cinema. He is starred in six hundred and fifty feature films. He has received seven state Nandi Awards as best character, villain and supporting actor. In 2012, he has garnered the South Indian International Movie Award, for his work in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. In 2015, He received India's fourth highest civilian honor Padma Shri for his contribution to Indian cinema.

Sampath Raj

Sampath Raj Kumar (born 15 January 1976) is an Indian film actor who works primarily in the Tamil film industry. He is quite popular in Telugu and Kannada Film Industries. His mother tongue is Tamil. He is best known for appearing in each film of director Venkat Prabhu's comedy trilogy, consisting of Chennai 600028, Saroja and Goa. He has also acted in supporting roles in various other films. He is mostly known in negative roles.He played a brief role as Ekambram in Malgudi days for the episode Neighbors help which was directed by Shankar Nag

Bhavani

Bhavani was the tutelary deity of the Maratha leader Shivaji, in whose veneration he dedicated his sword, Bhavani Talwar. A temple to Bhavani at Tuljapur in Maharashtra dates back to the 12th century. The temple contains a metre-high granite icon of the goddess, with eight arms holding weapons. She also holds the head of the demon, Mahishasura, who she slew in the region which is the present day Mysore.

The Tulja Bhavani and another temple in Tuljapur in the Osmanabad District of Maharashtra is considered one of the 51 Shakti Pithas. This temple was built close to the 12th century CE. The Tulja Bhavani temple was built between 1537-1540 CE in Chittorgarh. It is located at coordinates 18°00′41″N 76°07′32″E / 18.011386°N 76.125641°E / 18.011386; 76.125641.
