FACT: An independent National Survey by Lipman Heame found that 26% of high-achieving seniors across the USA hire an Educational Consultant. (the statistic has probably grown substantially since this article appeared in 2009)
Fairfax, VA - Lipman Hearne, one of the nation’s leading marketing and communications firms, released a new, independent survey, “High-Achieving Seniors and the College Decision.”
One of their findings, which they called “A Surprise”: 26% of such students hired an independent educational consultant to assist in their college search.
The results show a rate about triple what has been the generally assumed percentage, although consistent with numbers reported by the Independent Educational Consultants Association in recent months.
IECA is the international trade association for counselors working in private practice.

The University of Aberdeen is a public research university in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is an ancient university founded in 1495 when William Elphinstone, Bishop of Aberdeen, petitioned Pope Alexander VI on behalf of James IV, King of Scots to create King's College. This makes it Scotland's third-oldest university (after the University of St Andrews and the University of Glasgow) and fifth-oldest in the English-speaking world. The university as it is today was formed in 1860 by a merger between King's College (which had always referred to itself as the University of Aberdeen) and Marischal College, a second university founded in 1593 in Aberdeen city centre as a Protestant alternative to King's College. Today, the University of Aberdeen is consistently ranked among the top 200 universities in the world and is one of two universities in Aberdeen, the other being The Robert Gordon University.

Aberdeen
Aberdeen (
i/æbərˈdiːn/; Scots: Aiberdeen 
listen ; Scottish Gaelic: Obar Dheathain [ˈopər ˈʝɛhɪn]; Latin: Aberdonia) is Scotland's third most populous city, one of Scotland's 32 local government council areas and the United Kingdom's 37th most populous built-up area, with an official population estimate of 196,670 for the city of Aberdeen itself and 228,990 for the local authority area.
Nicknames include the Granite City, the Grey City and the Silver City with the Golden Sands. During the mid-18th to mid-20th centuries, Aberdeen's buildings incorporated locally quarried grey granite, which can sparkle like silver because of its high mica content. Since the discovery of North Sea oil in the 1970s, other nicknames have been the Oil Capital of Europe or the Energy Capital of Europe. The area around Aberdeen has been settled since at least 8,000 years ago, when prehistoric villages lay around the mouths of the rivers Dee and Don. The city has a long, sandy coastline and a marine climate.

FACT: An independent National Survey by Lipman Heame found that 26% of high-achieving seniors across the USA hire an Educational Consultant. (the statistic has probably grown substantially since this article appeared in 2009)
Fairfax, VA - Lipman Hearne, one of the nation’s leading marketing and communications firms, released a new, independent survey, “High-Achieving Seniors and the College Decision.”
One of their findings, which they called “A Surprise”: 26% of such students hired an independent educational consultant to assist in their college search.
The results show a rate about triple what has been the generally assumed percentage, although consistent with numbers reported by the Independent Educational Consultants Association in recent months.
IECA is the international trade association for counselors working in private practice.

These are my top five things to do in Aberdeen, Scotland. Aberdeen is the third largest city in Scotland and is found in the North-East of the country. The two things it is most famous are oil and granite. 1) Newburgh Beach - around twenty minutes drive to the North of Aberdeen, Newburgh Beach is a beautiful sandy beach famous for its seal colony, which is found where the River Ythan meets the sea. As well as the seals, Newburgh Beach also has Europes largest sand dune area, and old world war two defences. 2) Dunnotar Castle - to the south of Aberdeen, just outside of Stonehaven, Dunnotar Castle is found on a rocky headland jutting out into the North Sea. 4) Crathes Castle - the castle can be reached by either car or by cycling along the old railway line. It is a perfect example of a 16th century Scottish castle, and both the grounds and castle are well worth a visit.
5) Marischal College - this is found right in the centre of Aberdeen and is the second largest granite building in the world. It was originally used by the University of Aberdeen, but was recently renovated and is now used by Aberdeen City Council.

虽然很多同学吐槽学历认证是神马用一张纸去证明另外一张纸，很多同学觉得这是个形式主义的东西？这不是多次一举吗？其实大家仔细想想这个问题也是合乎逻辑的，为什么学历认证对于留学生来说是个入职凭证，而不是自己所获得的证书，是因为用人单位并没有鉴别文凭真实有效性的能力，留学生散布在四大洲五大洋，总不能任意一个留学生回来，拿着一个“洋文凭”就冒充海归吧，所以学历认证顺理成章的诞生了，然而正因为这一点对于没毕业的同学来说未必不是一件好事，为什么这么说，因为学历认证在国内的高度权威性以至于入职只需提供学历认证即可，对于国外的学位证书他们一般不看（因为压根鉴别不了是真是假），那么是否只要做好了学历认证就万事ok了呢？答案的确如此，当然在这里我也不是吹嘘自己有多大能力，对于没毕业的同学情况确实很特殊，想要完成真实存档并且网上可查的东西确实不易，但是在满足一定条件的情况也也不是没有可能，如果你也在留学过程中遇到没毕业做不了学历认证，或者有其他困难。
留学生通常遇到的那些问题会导致认证不通过呢？
⑴ 国外留学因为这样或那样的原因没有顺利毕业，没有拿到相应的学位以及合格的绩单
⑵ 所有材料真实但是不齐全，出现护照签证丢失、成绩单不齐全、没有获得最终毕业證書。
⑶ 前置学历问题，很多留学生在申请学校的时候是找中介做的材料去申请，学校是申请下来了但是最终回国做学历认证的时候才发现前置学历是做的假材料不被承认。
⑷ 转学分问题，学生存在转校或转专业的情况，而很多学校为了方便留学生学习其他的专业知识一般会承认相应的学分，但是回国做学历认证的时候留服要求就不一样，对于不在认可范围内的学分一律不予承认。
⑸ 合作办学项目未备案。
