6 million Victorians. Victoria's population has hit 6 million, according to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today. ABS acting Director of Demography Phil Browning said that in the year ending 31 March 2016, Victoria grew by 1.9 per cent, adding an extra 114,900 people to the population ... The Victorian population is projected to reach 7 million in 2024....

In a statement ANZ said the terms of the settlement were confidential ... During the Victorian supreme court action, a senior bank official was accused of physically assaulting Pankaj Oswal by putting him in “an aggressive sort of headlock” when the pair was alone during an impasse in negotiations in December 2009. The Oswals also accused ANZ of racial bigotry....

The majority of AGL Loy Yang employees have voted against an Enterprise Agreement (EA) recommended by the Fair Work Commission, in a secret ballot conducted over the past week. The result of the ballot was 367 (69.25 percent) against the offer and 163 (30.75 percent) for it. More than 50 percent workforce support was required for the EA to be approved....

Johnsbury, Vt., were hard at work Wednesday on a project to repair the copper flashing and slate tiles on the roof of the 1901-built Conway Public Library ... 6, and given the "slate" of good weather, good progress has been made.
