Florence Arnold (born 28 December 1988), better known as Florrie, is an English pop singer, songwriter, drummer and model. Closely associated with the Xenomania production house, since joining as their in-house drummer in 2008 she has played live and on record for popular artists such as Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud and the Pet Shop Boys.
In 2010, she began a solo career. She has drawn positive reaction from the online music community for releasing her own material in collaboration with remixers such as Fred Falke for download without charge. In 2010, Florrie released a four-track EP titled Introduction, followed by the six-track EP Experiments in 2011, and by the four-track EP Late in 2012. In 2013, Florrie released a single, "Live a Little", that was used in promotion for Sony's XBA-C10 in-ear headphones campaign. In 2014, she announced that she had signed to a major label, Sony Music, and released an EP, Sirens. Her debut album is to be released in 2016.
Florrie Forde (16 August 1875 – 18 April 1940), born Flora May Augusta Flannagan, was an Australian popular singer and entertainer. She was one of the greatest stars of the early 20th century music hall.
Forde was born in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia in 1875. She was the sixth of the eight children of Lott Flannagan and Phoebe, who also had two children from a prior marriage. At the age of sixteen, she ran away from home to appear on the Sydney music hall stage, adopting the surname of her stepfather, Thomas Ford, adding an 'e'. At the age of 21, in 1897, she left for London, and on August Bank Holiday 1897, she made her first appearances in London at three music halls – the South London Palace, the Pavilion and the Oxford – in the course of one evening. She became an immediate star, making the first of her many sound recordings in 1903 and making 700 individual recordings by 1936.
Forde had a powerful stage presence, and specialised in songs that had powerful and memorable choruses in which the audience was encouraged to join. She was soon drawing top billing, singing songs such as "Down at the Old Bull and Bush" and "Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly?". She appeared in the very first Royal Variety Performance in 1912. During World War I, her most famous songs were some of the best known of the period, including "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit-Bag", "It's A Long Way To Tipperary" and "Take Me Back to Dear Old Blighty".

Australian music hall entertainer. Probably most famous for 'Down at the Old Bull and Bush'.
In the late 20s and early 30s a revival in interest in music-hall comics saw a few of the surviving stars of early 20th Century Music Hall in studio recording medley's of their past hits for the 'Regal' and 'Columbia' labels. This one of Florrie Forde was recorded in studio with Chorus and Orchestra on 13th August 1929. Florrie starts with an Introduction and then sings She's A Lassie From Lancashire, Girls, Study Your Cookery Book, Hello! Hello! Who's Your Lady Friend?, Susanna's Long Stocking, Down At The Old Bull & Bush, It's A Long Way To Tipperary, Has Anybody Seen Kelly?, Hold Your Hand Out Naughty Boy, Flanagan, Oh! Oh! Florrie Forde, British music hall's most enduring singer of chorus songs, is joined here by Harry Fay in the 1912 hit, 'Joshu-ah!' recorded for the Zonophone label (954) at the studios of The Gramophone Co Ltd at Hayes, near London, on 25 September 1912. This is a 'cover' version of the song's creators, Clarice Mayne and 'That' (James W. Tate), who recorded 'Joshu-ah!' in London for the HMV label (03290) on 13 March 1912.
