Garth Brooks: I gotta ask you, man, what do you do with all the Oscars?::Tom Hanks: I get that question all the time. I have one on my book shelf next to a picture of my children, I have one in the bathroom just to keep me humble, and I have a line of them in the back of the garage so that when I pull in, they reflect and I don't bump into the wall.
Jon Lovitz: Tom! You are one of the greatest hosts of all time so I was wondering [hopefully] who your favorite cast member that you every got to work with?::Tom Hanks: Well that's a tough one but I'd have to say Will Ferell. That guy is gonna make it. Very talented.
Chris Rock: Welcome to the show. I'm out here because somebody had to do it and I guess they felt I was the best guy for it. Saturday Night Live, 25 years on the air and four funny. I mean who we kidding? Come on, as I look around this room I see the star power, the comedic genius, I'm looking at some of the most overrated people in the history of comedy. Some of the worst movies ever made were made by people in this room. Thank God we're going to do what we all do best: television.
Christopher Walken: I want to know how much of the show is scripted and how much crazy make'em up: you know, addlibs, improvs.::Tom Hanks: A legidiment question. Contrary to popular belief, the show is not improvised, SNL has a great staff of writers that craft every line of the show.::Christopher Walken: When I host, I say whatever I want. I free associate and I make up the skits and things like that and people seem to enjoy it.
Jon Lovitz: Hey Tom! If you like Will Ferrell so much why don't you marry him?::Tom Hanks: Oh come on, Jon, what do you want me to do? You want me to lie and say Jon Lovitz is my favorite cast member?::Jon Lovitz: He said it! He said it! Yes! Did you hear him? Jon Lovitz is his favorite cast member! And we're best friends!
[On Celebrity Jeopardy]::Alex Trebek: Mr. Connery, why don't you pick?::Sean Connery: Looks like this is my lucky day. I'll take The Rapists for 800.::Alex Trebek: That's Therapists! Therapists, not the Rapists.
Jane Curtin: From now on, try to do your best okay?::Emily Lattella: Oh yes, dear, and I'm very, very sorry and I promise from now on I will do my best.::Jane Curtin: See that you do.::Emily Lattella: Bitch.
[Remembering John Belushi]::Laraine Newman: Some people think that John Belushi is this Tasmanian beast blowing through life like a hurricane.::Dan Aykroyd: And he was.::Laraine Newman: But he could be so sweet too. He once gave me this marshmallow tin and after I moved to LA, John showed up unexpectidly one night and gave me this very hard to find Johnny Taylor Blues '45 because he remembered that I loved it years ago.::Dan Aykroyd: That was mine.
Cheri Oteri: Gilda Radner was every young girl's comedy idol.::Molly Shannon: Watching Gilda taught us the three most important things about comedy: if you're gonna bang into a wall, you gotta do it like you mean it.::Cheri Oteri: Yeah don't worry about looking geeky because you can look pretty later at the party.::Molly Shannon: Right, and don't ever be afraid to let people see your under pants.
Mike Myers: Dr. Evil is nothing like you.::Lorne Michaels: Good. [to Verne Troyer] Mini-Lorne Michaels, you hungry? Would you like a Hot Pocket? Can I get a frickin' Hot Pocket around here?

IMDb 2014-06-02Fernando Álvaro Lamas (January 9, 1915 – October 8, 1982) was an Argentine-born actor and director, and the father of actor Lorenzo Lamas.
Lamas was born Fernando Álvaro Lamas y de Santos in Buenos Aires, Argentina. By 1942, he was an established movie star in Argentina. In 1951, he signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and went to the United States to play "Latin Lover" roles.
Lamas directed for the first time in 1963. It was a movie titled Magic Fountain starring his future wife Esther Williams. He directed another feature film, The Violent Ones, which was released in 1967 and co-starred Aldo Ray and David Carradine. He was most active directing on television, doing episodes that included Mannix, Alias Smith and Jones, Starsky and Hutch and Falcon Crest. The latter show co-starred his son, Lorenzo.
Lamas was married four times, to Perla Mux (married 1940, divorced 1944), Lydia Barachi (married 1946, divorced 1952), actress Arlene Dahl (married 1954, divorced 1960), and swimmer and actress Esther Williams (married 1969 until his death in 1982). He had a daughter with Mux and another with Barachi, and a son, actor Lorenzo Lamas (b. January 20, 1958), with Dahl.
William Edward "Billy" Crystal (born March 14, 1948) is an American actor, writer, producer, comedian, and film director. He gained prominence in the 1970s for playing Jodie Dallas on the ABC sitcom Soap and became a Hollywood film star during the late 1980s and 1990s, appearing in the critical and box office successes When Harry Met Sally... and City Slickers. He has hosted the Academy Awards nine times, including the 84th Academy Awards in 2012.
Crystal was born in the Doctor's Hospital in Manhattan and raised on Long Island in Long Beach, the son of Helen (née Gabler), a housewife, and Jack Crystal, a record company executive and jazz producer who also owned and operated the Commodore Record store. His babysitter was occasionally Billie Holiday. His uncle was musician and songwriter Milt Gabler, and his brother, Richard "Rip" Crystal, is a television producer. Crystal grew up in a Jewish family that he has described as "large" and "loving".
After graduation from Long Beach High School, Crystal attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia on a baseball scholarship, having learned the game from his father, who pitched for St. John's University. Crystal never played a game at Marshall because the program was suspended during his freshman year, and because he was too busy being the Editor in Chief of The BG News from 1969–70. He did not return to Marshall as a sophomore, staying back in New York with his future wife. He instead attended Nassau Community College and later New York University, where he graduated in 1970 with a BFA from its Tisch School of the Arts.
John William "Johnny" Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005) was an American television host and comedian, known for thirty years as host of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962–1992). Carson received six Emmy Awards, the Governor Award, and a 1985 Peabody Award. He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1987. Johnny Carson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992 and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 1993.
Although his show was already successful by the end of the 1960s, during the 1970s Carson became an American icon and remained so until his retirement in 1992. He adopted a casual, conversational approach with extensive interaction with guests, an approach pioneered by Arthur Godfrey and previous Tonight Show hosts Steve Allen and Jack Paar. Late night hosts David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson, and Jimmy Fallon have all cited Carson's influence on their late-night talk shows, which resemble his in format and tone.
Carson was born in Corning, Iowa, in the year 1925, to Homer Lloyd "Kit" Carson, a power company manager, and Ruth Hook Carson, who was of Irish descent. He grew up in the nearby towns of Avoca, Clarinda, and Red Oak in southwest Iowa before moving to Norfolk, Nebraska, at the age of eight. At the age of twelve, Carson found a book on magic at a friend's house and immediately purchased a mail-order magician's kit. He debuted as "The Great Carsoni" at fourteen and was paid $3; many other performances at local picnics and country fairs followed.
