Here is a quick fun test, see if you can spot which of these cameras has a FULL FRAME sensor, and which has a tiny M4/3 sensor. (crop sensor)
What difference does the sensor size make?
Cameras featured are the Sony a7s
and the Panasonic GH4
Both fitted with a Canon EF 50mm lens at f1.8 throughout.
Both with the same WB, same distance, same f-stop, same ISO (200) only the shutter speed varies in order to achieve similar exposure.
Note - the gh4 is using a metabones XL speedbooter for EF mount.

Image sensor format
In digital photography, the image sensor format is the shape and size of the image sensor.
The image sensor format of a digital camera determines the angle of view of a particular lens when used with a particular camera. In particular, image sensors in digital SLR cameras tend to be smaller than the 24 mm × 36 mm image area of full-frame 35 mm cameras, and therefore lead to a narrower angle of view.
The size of a sensor is often expressed as optical format in inches. Other measures are also used; see table of sensor formats and sizes below.
Lenses produced for 35 mm film cameras may mount well on the digital bodies, but the larger image circle of the 35 mm system lens allows unwanted light into the camera body, and the smaller size of the image sensor compared to 35 mm film format results in cropping of the image. This latter effect is known as field of view crop. The format size ratio (relative to the 35 mm film format) is known as the field of view crop factor, crop factor, lens factor, focal length conversion factor, focal length multiplier or lens multiplier.

What difference does the sensor size make?
Cameras featured are the Sony a7s
and the Panasonic GH4
Both fitted with a Canon EF 50mm lens at f1.8 throughout.
Both with the same WB, same distance, same f-stop, same ISO (200) only the shutter speed varies in order to achieve similar exposure.
Note - the gh4 is using a metabones XL speedbooter for EF mount.

Future Vertical Lift (FVL) is a program to develop a family of helicopters for the United States Armed Forces. Four different sizes of aircraft are to be developed. They are to share common hardware such as sensors, avionics, engines, and countermeasures. FVL is meant to develop a replacement for the Army's UH-60 Black Hawk, AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, and OH-58 Kiowa helicopters. The precursor for FVL is the Joint Multi-Role (JMR) helicopter program, which will provide technology demonstrations planned for 2017. The Army plans to acquire as many as 4,000 aircraft from the FVL program.
The U.S. Navy is a partner to the Army on the effort, so a derivative of FVL may be used in the Navy's MH-XX program to replace the service's MH-60S/R helicopters.
The Army wants to reinvent the very idea of rotorcraft, with a new propulsion concept. After the flight tests and technology development, JMR will end and a Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued open to all companies to begin the projected $100 billion FVL effort. Demonstrators developed under JMR will be "X-planes" to demonstrate some key technologies, but they won't have production-representative engines or real mission systems architecture; JMR will show off technologies to enable Army rotary-wing aviation to make the next leap in speed, lift, protection, and interoperability under FVL for the 2030s. The program is intentionally slow paced to avoid past program failures.
Although requirements are still being refined, the notional concept for a new aircraft must reach speeds of 230 kn (260 mph; 430 km/h), carry up to 12 troops, operate in "high-hot" conditions at altitudes of 6,000 ft (1,800 m) and temperatures of 95-degrees Fahrenheit, and have a combat radius of 424 km (263 mi) with an overall unrefueled range of 848 km (527 mi).

Lisa Gade reviews the iPhone 6 Plus. This is Apple’s 5.5” iPhone with a full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS display. The phone runs iOS 8 and it has an anodized aluminum body available in silver, space gray or gold. It’s just 7.1mm thin to offset otherwise large, pablet dimensions and it’s a 6 ounce unibody design with the 2915 mAh battery sealed inside. The iPhone 6 Plus runs on Apple’s dual core 1.4GHz A8 64 bit CPU with 1 gig of RAM and your choice of 16, 64 or 128 gigs of storage. It has a 1.2MP front and 8MP rear camera both with BSI and fast lenses. Other features include Touch ID (fingerprint sensor), LTE 4G, dual band WiFi 802.11ac, NFC for Apple Pay and a GPS. Pricing starts at $299 with 2 year contract or $750 full retail.
