[7] Similar to other ancient law, Roman law considered oral testimony as primary evidence. Contrary to deliberate manipulation and corruption of history, there was no "professional class" of jurists within Rome. Instead, a citizen would on occasion, if unable to speak clearly, hire an actor to speak in their place as a "persona". [10] In accordance with the Sacré Loi (Sacred Law) defined by the Carolingians in the 8th Century, a Placitum was presided over by one (1) to three (3) justices of the peto (petit sessionis) known as Iustitia Petit sworn under solemn oath to uphold and protect the law. The most senior of the Iustitia Peto (Petit) was known as a Praesideo, or if only one Iustitia Peto (Petit) was hearing the matter, he was known as the Praesideo. The term "praesideo" comes from Latin meaning "a guardian, defender, director or ruler of (sacred) law" and is the origin of the word "president"; and

Frederick VIII (Christian Frederik Vilhelm Carl) (3 June 1843 – 14 May 1912) was King of Denmark from 1906 to 1912. In July 1868, Frederick became engaged to Princess Louise of Sweden, the 17-year-old only daughter of King Charles XV of Sweden and IV of Norway. Princess Louise's family was related by marriage to Napoleon Bonaparte. She belonged to the Bernadotte dynasty, which had ruled in Sweden since 1818, when the founder, Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, one of Napoleon's generals, was elected crown prince of Sweden in 1810 and later succeeded the throne as Charles XIV of Sweden in 1818. He married Désirée Clary, who had once been engaged to the French Emperor.
Frederick and Louise of Sweden married at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on 28 July 1869. Frederick became king of Denmark as Frederick VIII on Christian IX's death on 29 January 1906. He was 62 years old at the time and had been Crown Prince for 43 years.
Death
On his return journey from a trip to Nice, King Frederick made a short stop in Hamburg, staying at the Hotel Hamburger Hof. The evening of his arrival, Frederick (incognito) took a walk on the Jungfernstieg. While walking he became faint and collapsed on a park bench and died. He was discovered by a police officer who took him to a Hafen hospital where he was pronounced dead. His cause of death was announced as a paralysis-attack.

Female inheritance - concerning terra Salica no portion or inheritance is for a woman but all the land belongs to members of the male sex who are brothers.
Salic patrimony (or inheritance or land property, after the legal term Terra salica used in the Salian code) refers to clan-based possession of real estate property, particularly in Germanic context. Terra salica could not be sold or otherwise disposed; it was not alienable.
For example, in 11th and 12th centuries, the Hereditary Kingdom of Norway was several times partitioned between males of the reigning dynasty. At the time, the Kingdom of Norway was looked upon as a property of the king. As such it would be divided among his heirs, like any other private estate under Ancient Norwegian property laws. First such partition between brothers took place in 1067 when Olav III of Norway, returning from England, demanded his younger brother Magnus II of Norway to cede him his portion of the kingdom. Magnus was to rule the northern half of the country and Olav the southern. This division is the beginning of a long series of partitions of the kingdom between the sons and heirs of the ruling king.

The Monaco succession crisis of 1918 arose because France objected to the prospect of a German national inheriting the throne of Monaco. Albert I, Sovereign Prince of Monaco had only one legitimate child, the Hereditary Prince Louis, then heir apparent to the principality. As World War I drew to a close, Prince Louis, at the age of forty-eight, remained (legally) childless, unmarried, and unbetrothed.

Salic law (/ˈsælɨk/ or /ˈseɪlɨk/; Latin: Lex Salica), or Salian Law, was the major body of Frankish law governing all the Franks of Frankia under the rule of its kings during the Old Frankish Period, approximately equal to the early Middle Ages. The laws were maintained in written form in the Latin language by a committee empowered by the monarch. Dozens of manuscripts dated from the 8th century of a putative original recension in the 6th century and three emendations as late as the 9th century have survived.
Salic law provided written codification of both civil law, such as the statutes governing inheritance, and criminal law, such as the punishment for murder. It has had a formative influence on the tradition of statute law that has extended to modern times in Central Europe, especially in the German states, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, parts of Italy, Austria and Hungary, Romania, and the Balkans.
The original edition of the code was commissioned by the first king of all the Franks, Clovis I (c. 466–511), earlier than its publication date sometime between 507 and 511.. He appointed four commissioners to research uses of laws that, until the publication of the Salic Law, were recorded only in the minds of designated elders, who would meet in council when their knowledge was required. Transmission was entirely oral. Salic Law therefore reflects ancient usages and practices. In order to govern properly, the monarchs and their administrations needed the code in writing. The name of the code comes from the circumstance that Clovis was a Merovingian king ruling only the Salian Franks before his unification of Frankia. The law must have applied to the Ripuarian Franks as well; however, containing only 65 titles, it may not have included any special Ripuarian laws.

The Law is a system of rules and guidelines which are enforced through social institutions to govern behavior. Laws are made by governments, specifically by their legislatures. The formation of laws themselves may be influenced by a constitution (written or unwritten) and the rights encoded therein. The law shapes politics, economics and society in countless ways and serves as a social mediator of relations between people.
A general distinction can be made between civil law jurisdictions (including Canon and Socialist law), in which the legislature or other central body codifies and consolidates their laws and common law systems (including Sharia), where judge-made binding precedents are accepted. In some countries, religion may inform the law; for example, in jurisdictions that practice Islamic law, Jewish law or Canon law.
The adjudication of the law is generally divided into two main areas. Criminal law deals with conduct that is designated dishonest by the government and in which the guilty party may be imprisioned or fined. Civil law (not to be confused with civil law jurisdictions above) deals with disputes between individuals or organizations, in which compensation may be awarded to the wronged litigant.

[7] Similar to other ancient law, Roman law considered oral testimony as primary evidence. Contrary to deliberate manipulation and corruption of history, there was no "professional class" of jurists within Rome. Instead, a citizen would on occasion, if unable to speak clearly, hire an actor to speak in their place as a "persona". In such circumstances, the actor was sworn to recite the truth as told to them by the accuser or defendant on their testicles (being removed if they lied) -- hence the origin of testimony; and
[8] By the 8th Century CE and the emergence of the Sacre Loi (Sacred Law) of the Carolingian Empire and the first formation of the Catholic Church and Canon Law (in direct opposition to the Holly Roman Empire of Antioch, also known as the Byzantine Empire), the concept of actors or "persona" performing in place of the actual accused or accuser was abolished and considered an abomination against Anglo-Saxon Law; and
[9] Under the Instatutum, ("Institutions") of Sacré Loi (Sacred Law) first introduced by Charles Martel in 738 CE, all disputes between smaller estates known under Carolingian law as "peto sessionis" (petty sessions) were to be heard in "Placitum", while all serious property disputes and crimes carrying the death penalty called "quatio sessionis" were to be heard in "Manorum" being at the Manor Hall of the Baron to whom the accused served.; and
[10] In accordance with the Sacré Loi (Sacred Law) defined by the Carolingians in the 8th Century, a Placitum was presided over by one (1) to three (3) justices of the peto (petit sessionis) known as Iustitia Petit sworn under solemn oath to uphold and protect the law. The most senior of the Iustitia Peto (Petit) was known as a Praesideo, or if only one Iustitia Peto (Petit) was hearing the matter, he was known as the Praesideo. The term "praesideo" comes from Latin meaning "a guardian, defender, director or ruler of (sacred) law" and is the origin of the word "president"; and
[11] Significantly, in opposition to the original concept of "persona" by the Romans and prosopon (πρόσωπον) by the Ancient Greeks, the Ango-Saxons considered the oath or vow of a living flesh man or woman as of paramount importance being their "bond" -- bringing a return to a principle that was fundamental to Celtic Law including the fact that a man could not be convicted on testimony gained through torture -- in other words, our word must be given freely and without duress if it is to be regarded as true and reliable; and....

Frederick VIII (Christian Frederik Vilhelm Carl) (3 June 1843 – 14 May 1912) was King of Denmark from 1906 to 1912. In July 1868, Frederick became engaged to Princess Louise of Sweden, the 17-year-old only daughter of King Charles XV of Sweden and IV of Norway. Princess Louise's family was related by marriage to Napoleon Bonaparte. She belonged to the Bernadotte dynasty, which had ruled in Sweden since 1818, when the founder, Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, one of Napoleon's generals, was elected crown prince of Sweden in 1810 and later succeeded the throne as Charles XIV of Sweden in 1818. He married Désirée Clary, who had once been engaged to the French Emperor.
Frederick and Louise of Sweden married at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on 28 July 1869. Frederick became king of Denmark as Frederick VIII on Christian IX's death on 29 January 1906. He was 62 years old at the time and had been Crown Prince for 43 years.
Death
On his return journey from a trip to Nice, King Frederick made a short stop in Hamburg, staying at the Hotel Hamburger Hof. The evening of his arrival, Frederick (incognito) took a walk on the Jungfernstieg. While walking he became faint and collapsed on a park bench and died. He was discovered by a police officer who took him to a Hafen hospital where he was pronounced dead. His cause of death was announced as a paralysis-attack.

Salic patrimony (or inheritance or land property, after the legal term Terra salica used in the Salian code) refers to clan-based possession of real estate property, particularly in Germanic context. Terra salica could not be sold or otherwise disposed; it was not alienable.
For example, in 11th and 12th centuries, the Hereditary Kingdom of Norway was several times partitioned between males of the reigning dynasty. At the time, the Kingdom of Norway was looked upon as a property of the king. As such it would be divided among his heirs, like any other private estate under Ancient Norwegian property laws. First such partition between brothers took place in 1067 when Olav III of Norway, returning from England, demanded his younger brother Magnus II of Norway to cede him his portion of the kingdom. Magnus was to rule the northern half of the country and Olav the southern. This division is the beginning of a long series of partitions of the kingdom between the sons and heirs of the ruling king.

Albert I, Sovereign Prince of Monaco had only one legitimate child, the Hereditary Prince Louis, then heir apparent to the principality. As World War I drew to a close, Prince Louis, at the age of forty-eight, remained (legally) childless, unmarried, and unbetrothed.
