Manu Ginobili in his rookie season, helping the San Antonio Spurs win their 2nd NBA championship, against the New Jersey Nets of Jason Kid, Kenyon Martin, Richard Jefferson, Dikembe Mutombo and Kerry Kittles (ah, plus Brian "the White Mamba" Scalabrine). While his performance in the title game was by far his worst of the series, I thought it would be worth watching, as this is where it all begun. Even if his shot did not fall down on this, Manu displayed his usual passion and competitiveness, the ones that he built a career on. Enjoy! Again, all credit to ABC and the NBA

The 1996 NBA draft was the 50th draft in the National Basketball Association (NBA). It was held on June 26, 1996 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The draft was broadcast in the United States on the Turner Network Television.[1] In this draft, NBA teams took turns selecting college basketball players and other first-time eligible players, such as players from high schools and non-North American leagues. The Vancouver Grizzlies had the highest probability to win the NBA draft lottery, but since they were an expansion team along with the Toronto Raptors, they were not allowed to select first in this draft.[2] The team with the second highest probability, the Philadelphia 76ers won the lottery and obtained the first selection. The Toronto Raptors and the Vancouver Grizzlies were second and thir...

Under nauseous skies
Sad glow of night
Hung me by a flower
And in my fright
I closed my eyes
I swallowed lies
I was swinging from the gallows
Sun passed in the night
She was laid on like a bible
My skin went tight
When I caught her from the gallows
She just said good night
But it's alright
Yeah, I'll get by
I'll just get high
Learn how to die
I don't mind
I don't mind
Nothing turns me off
Nothing turns me on
I was hung up on a flower
And she was gone
But it's alright
Yeah, I'll get by
I'll still be hanging there
Without you by my side
I don't mind
I don't mind
I don't mind
