In trading on Wednesday, semiconductors shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 0.6%. Leading the group were shares of Nxp Semiconductors NV (NXPI), up about 7% and shares of Tower Semiconductor Limited (TSEM) up about 4.8% on the day.
Also showing relative strength are diagnostics shares, up on the day by about 0.5% as a group, led by Amedisys (AMED), trading higher by about 3.9% and Lhc Group (LHCG), trading up by about 3.5% on Wednesday.

Semiconductor foundries manufacture ICs based on the designs provided by certain companies. The majority of these companies are semiconductor fabless companies that design and sell hardware devices and semiconductor chipsets while outsourcing the fabrication process of the devices to semiconductor foundries. Semiconductor foundries are also known as semiconductor fabrication plants (usually referred to as fab).
Semiconductor foundries are of two types: Pure-play foundries and IDMs. This classification is used to differentiate between companies that perform in-house semiconductor manufacturing and fabless companies that outsource designs to third parties. 4/14/15 - https://www.thetechtrader.com - Even though the markets were mixed on Tuesday, a lot of our stocks continue to mow ahead. We have a lot of those stocks to cover here.
Advaxis, Inc. (ADXS) has tripled, going from the low of 6.95 to over 22.00 on Tuesday in just a couple months. It looks like it doesn’t have any momentum lost at this point. It was up 1.19 to 21.78, or 5.78%, on 21 million shares. It may blow through the upper-channel line at some point, running up to the high 20’s, low 30’s, but for now, just keep raising your stops. It’s had five consecutive lower highs, along with some higher highs, so, as a result, it may continue its momentum, but keep close tabs on it. I would still keep a stop under 19-19 1/4.
Capnia, Inc. (CAPN) had a very quiet, inside day, closing up 10 cents to 7.18 on the session, the volume being the lowest it’s been since we’ve been following it. It looks like it’s on the verge of something. We won’t know what it means until it breaks out or down. Negative news wouldn’t be nice, but positive news could gap this above 10, and run up to the mid-teens.
Oasis Petroleum Inc. (OAS) has a great-looking chart. It was put out as a swing trade on Tuesday, because it broke out of a flag, and closed at 18.01, up 1.05, or 6%, on 7.8 million shares. Be looking for a test of the 19.63 area short-term, and then a run to 22 1/2 intermediate-term. Those are the swing trade targets. It has a beautiful base after a long drop. In July we traded at 58.00, and by Dec it dropped all the way down to 10.00, and change. It has moved back up, based out, and this base alone could move this stock to the high 20’s, or even to the low-to-mid 30’s, eventually.
Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (TSEM) is one of our favorite semiconductors, and has been all year, and is coming out of a nice-looking coil pattern. It popped 78 cents to 17.61, or 4.6%, on nearly a million shares. That’s the best volume in a couple weeks. The key breakout is going to come when it crosses 18.30. Watch for 20, and 22 1/2 as the next targets.

It was an interesting day for the market on Tuesday. They were up in the morning, down in the afternoon, and kind of a consolidation day. At the end of the day there were still a lot of stocks that we follow that did well. Let’s take a look at some of them.
Mattel, Inc. (MAT), which we put a swing on Tuesday, had a disappointing close, up 93 cents to 24.71, or 3.9%, on 18 million shares. That’s the biggest volume since April. This stock is running. It looks like it has a bottoming pattern. Let’s call is a head-and-shoulders. It broke through the declining topsline, and the next target is a run at 17 1/4, and through that, look for 30 plus. It has 11 days to cover.
Omega Protein Corporation (OME) continues to run. It was up 70 cents to 23.36, or 3%, on 882,823 shares traded, on Tuesday, and has 3.7 days to cover. It’s at the top of the channel, and has had 5 waves up. It is over extended and may pull back and accelerate, but eventually, momentum and the target are in the mid 30’s.
Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (TSEM) broke out two or three days ago, and has been consolidating for three days on low volume, closing up 43 cents to 15.35, or 2.88%, on 500,000 shares traded on Tuesday. It’s about to pick back up again. Look for a test of 17, which is the next target, followed by 18 1/2, or thereabouts. It has a nice, little bottoming pattern, 4.3 days to cover.
Zendesk, Inc. (ZEN) looks really good, and is coming out of a swing trade, up 1.00 to 23.98, or 4.35%, on 1.1 million shares on Tuesday. After the IPO it had a big pop, and then consolidated for a year, and now it’s moving up. Resistance at 24.70 needs to be taken out to reach the target at 27-27 1/2.
Other stocks on the long side include Globant (GLOB), Ebix Inc. (EBIX), Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDTI), Loxo Oncology, Inc. (LOXO), Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. The excitement is already building for America's favorite holiday Thanksgiving. What could be better than spending time with family, eating great food and finding great stocks.
Today I am sharing with you three stocks that popped up on my radar yesterday that look technically very positive on the upside.
Two of these stocks are priced under $15, and one is priced below six dollars, which is pretty unusual in today's investment climate. The three stocks I'm looking at are all traded on the NASDAQ, which is my go to exchange to find winning trades.
The first stock is XOMA Corporation (NASDAQ:X0MA) which flashed a buy alert yesterday at $4.91. Xoma closed Monday at $5.28.
The next stock I will be looking at is Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (NASDAQ:TSEM). Yesterday the monthly Trade Triangle alerted a buy signal at $12.26. TSEM eventually closed out the trading day at $12.72.
The final stock is Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU). This is the most expensive stock of the three picks. Yesterday it received a Trade Triangle buy signal at $34.85. MU finished out the day slightly lower with a close of $34.72.
As always I will be taking a quick look at the charts and making projections about how high I think, these three stocks can move.

(TSEM) broke out two or three days ago, and has been consolidating for three days on low volume, closing up 43 cents to 15.35, or 2.88%, on 500,000 shares traded on Tuesday. It’s about to pick back up again. Look for a test of 17, which is the next target, followed by 18 1/2, or thereabouts. It has a nice, little bottoming pattern, 4.3 days to cover. Zendesk, Inc. (ZEN) looks really good, and is coming out of a swing trade, up 1.00 to 23.98, or 4.35%, on 1.1 million shares on Tuesday. After the IPO it had a big pop, and then consolidated for a year, and now it’s moving up. Resistance at 24.70 needs to be taken out to reach the target at 27-27 1/2. Other stocks on the long side include Globant (GLOB), Ebix Inc. (EBIX), Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDTI), Loxo Oncology, Inc. (LOXO), Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. The excitement is already building for America's favorite holiday Thanksgiving. What could be better than spending time with family, eating great food and finding great stocks. Today I am sharing with you three stocks that popped up on my radar yesterday that look technically very positive on the upside. Two of these stocks are priced under $15, and one is priced below six dollars, which is pretty unusual in today's investment climate. The three stocks I'm looking at are all traded on the NASDAQ, which is my go to exchange to find winning trades. The first stock is XOMA Corporation (NASDAQ:X0MA) which flashed a buy alert yesterday at $4.91. Xoma closed Monday at $5.28. The next stock I will be looking at is Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (NASDAQ:TSEM). Yesterday the monthly Trade Triangle alerted a buy signal at $12.26. TSEM eventually closed out the trading day at $12.72. The final stock is Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU). This is the most expensive stock of the three picks. Yesterday it received a Trade Triangle buy signal at $34.85. MU finished out the day slightly lower with a close of $34.72. As always I will be taking a quick look at the charts and making projections about how high I think, these three stocks can move.

Capnia, Inc. (CAPN) had a very quiet, inside day, closing up 10 cents to 7.18 on the session, the volume being the lowest it’s been since we’ve been following it. It looks like it’s on the verge of something. We won’t know what it means until it breaks out or down. Negative news wouldn’t be nice, but positive news could gap this above 10, and run up to the mid-teens.
Oasis Petroleum Inc. (OAS) has a great-looking chart. It was put out as a swing trade on Tuesday, because it broke out of a flag, and closed at 18.01, up 1.05, or 6%, on 7.8 million shares. Be looking for a test of the 19.63 area short-term, and then a run to 22 1/2 intermediate-term. Those are the swing trade targets. It has a beautiful base after a long drop. 4/14/15 - https://www.thetechtrader.com - Even though the markets were mixed on Tuesday, a lot of our stocks continue to mow ahead. We have a lot of those stocks to cover here.
Advaxis, Inc. (ADXS) has tripled, going from the low of 6.95 to over 22.00 on Tuesday in just a couple months. It looks like it doesn’t have any momentum lost at this point. It was up 1.19 to 21.78, or 5.78%, on 21 million shares. It may blow through the upper-channel line at some point, running up to the high 20’s, low 30’s, but for now, just keep raising your stops. It’s had five consecutive lower highs, along with some higher highs, so, as a result, it may continue its momentum, but keep close tabs on it. I would still keep a stop under 19-19 1/4.
Capnia, Inc. (CAPN) had a very quiet, inside day, closing up 10 cents to 7.18 on the session, the volume being the lowest it’s been since we’ve been following it. It looks like it’s on the verge of something. We won’t know what it means until it breaks out or down. Negative news wouldn’t be nice, but positive news could gap this above 10, and run up to the mid-teens.
Oasis Petroleum Inc. (OAS) has a great-looking chart. It was put out as a swing trade on Tuesday, because it broke out of a flag, and closed at 18.01, up 1.05, or 6%, on 7.8 million shares. Be looking for a test of the 19.63 area short-term, and then a run to 22 1/2 intermediate-term. Those are the swing trade targets. It has a beautiful base after a long drop. It was an interesting day for the market on Tuesday. They were up in the morning, down in the afternoon, and kind of a consolidation day. At the end of the day there were still a lot of stocks that we follow that did well. Let’s take a look at some of them.
Mattel, Inc. (MAT), which we put a swing on Tuesday, had a disappointing close, up 93 cents to 24.71, or 3.9%, on 18 million shares. That’s the biggest volume since April. This stock is running. It looks like it has a bottoming pattern. Let’s call is a head-and-shoulders. It broke through the declining topsline, and the next target is a run at 17 1/4, and through that, look for 30 plus. It has 11 days to cover.
Omega Protein Corporation (OME) continues to run. It was up 70 cents to 23.36, or 3%, on 882,823 shares traded, on Tuesday, and has 3.7 days to cover. It’s at the top of the channel, and has had 5 waves up. It is over extended and may pull back and accelerate, but eventually, momentum and the target are in the mid 30’s.

It’s about to pick back up again. Look for a test of 17, which is the next target, followed by 18 1/2, or thereabouts. It has a nice, little bottoming pattern, 4.3 days to cover.
Zendesk, Inc. (ZEN) looks really good, and is coming out of a swing trade, up 1.00 to 23.98, or 4.35%, on 1.1 million shares on Tuesday. After the IPO it had a big pop, and then consolidated for a year, and now it’s moving up. Resistance at 24.70 needs to be taken out to reach the target at 27-27 1/2.

Today I am sharing with you three stocks that popped up on my radar yesterday that look technically very positive on the upside.
Two of these stocks are priced under $15, and one is priced below six dollars, which is pretty unusual in today's investment climate. The three stocks I'm looking at are all traded on the NASDAQ, which is my go to exchange to find winning trades.
The first stock is XOMA Corporation (NASDAQ:X0MA) which flashed a buy alert yesterday at $4.91. Xoma closed Monday at $5.28.
The next stock I will be looking at is Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (NASDAQ:TSEM). Yesterday the monthly Trade Triangle alerted a buy signal at $12.26. TSEM eventually closed out the trading day at $12.72.
The final stock is Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU). This is the most expensive stock of the three picks. Yesterday it received a Trade Triangle buy signal at $34.85. MU finished out the day slightly lower with a close of $34.72.
As always I will be taking a quick look at the charts and making projections about how high I think, these three stocks can move.

He is also a recent recipient of the Spirit of Silicon Valley Lifetime Achievement Award from the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, for his ethics, community engagement and business success, and the Semiconductor Industry Association Robert N. Noyce Award, for his outstanding achievement and leadership in support of the U.S. semiconductor industry.
Instrumental in the creation of the Tech Museum Awards which launched in 2000, Morgan inspired the program's James C. Morgan Global Humanitarian Award, which honors individuals whose broad vision and leadership help address humanity's greatest challenges. Past recipients have included Bill Gates and Gordon Moore. Power electronics is the application of solid-state electronics to the control and conversion of electric power. It also refers to a subject of research in electronic and electrical engineering which deals with the design, control, computation and integration of nonlinear, time-varying energy-processing electronic systems with fast dynamics.
The first high power electronic devices were mercury-arc valves. In modern systems the conversion is performed with semiconductor switching devices such as diodes, thyristors and transistors, pioneered by R. D. Middlebrook and others beginning in the 1950s. In contrast to electronic systems concerned with transmission and processing of signals and data, in power electronics substantial amounts of electrical energy are processed. An AC/DC converter (rectifier) is the most typical power electronics device found in many consumer electronic devices, e.g. television sets, personal computers, battery chargers, etc. The power range is typically from tens of watts to several hundred watts. In industry a common application is the variable speed drive (VSD) that is used to control an induction motor. The power range of VSDs start from a few hundred watts and end at tens of megawatts.
The power conversion systems can be classified according to the type of the input and output power

New technologies, such as 3D integration, offer new opportunities for silicon vendors and customers. These technology trends are converging on Programmable Logic. FPGA vendors are changing the way they build their product and those changes are being reflected in the architecture and tools that surround those products. This talk describes the technological pressures and opportunities for programmable logic vendors and highlights recent product trends and what they indicate for the future of the programmable logic industry.

The recently established American Institute for manufacturing Photonics (AIM Photonics) is a manufacturing consortium headquartered in New York, with funding from the US Department of Defense (DoD), New York State, and idustrial partners to advance the state of the art in the
design, manufacture, testing, assembly, and packaging of integrated photonic devices. In this plenary session, Michael Liehr, CEO of AIM Photonics, describes the technical goals, operational framework, near-term milestones, and opportunities for the broader photonics community.
The Institute intends to organize a currently fragmented domestic capability in integrated photonics. AIM Photonics will develop and demonstrate innovative manufacturing technologies for a number of key application sectors for integrated photonics devices. The Institute will specifically focus on establishing and building out an infrastructure in key areas required to accelerate the further adoption of integrated photonics. Specifically, we will enhance the available hardware development capability to include Si-based multi-project wafer runs, InP-based photonic integrated circuits, first and second level packaging, test and assembly.

Abstract: The observed color of metal nanoparticles changes when their size or shape changes. This is due to the scattering and absorption spectra, which have a distinct peak, a phenomenon known as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR). By attaching semiconductor nanoparticles to metal nanoparticles the resonance wavelength of the structure can be changed, using pump illumination that is absorbed in the semiconductor, thus creating a spectrally tunable structures. In the second part of the talk, the theory behind a Photo-Activated Localization Microscopy (PALM) system that uses coherent interaction between light sources will be shown. The system consists of a grating system and a correlator. The result of the coherent interaction is the ability to extract phase information to improve the quality of the estimation of the center of the PSF. This system can improve significantly the resolution in PALM microscopy. In addition this coherent detection scheme requires smaller number of photons thus allowing faster imaging.
