Betty demonstrates how to make Kentucky Baked Beans. These flavorful baked beans are made from canned pork 'n beans, but the recipe may be adjusted to use dry navy beans instead.
Kentucky Baked Beans
(2) 16-ounce cans pork 'n beans
¼ cup molasses
¼ cup tomato ketchup
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon light brown sugar, firmly packed
½ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon ground paprika
2 slices uncooked bacon, chopped into small pieces
In a large bowl (preferably a large measuring cup with a spout for pouring), place pork 'n beans, molasses, ketchup, onion, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt, black pepper, paprika, and uncooked bacon. Stir until combined. Pour mixture into an oven-proof baking dish and bake at 350 degrees (F) for about 1 hour. Stir occasionally. When done, remove from the oven and serve immediately. These are delicious, and they make a terrific accompaniment to most meats. I hope you enjoy them! --Betty ♥♥♥

How to make homemade old fashioned Boston Baked Beans, they are really good!
Ingredients:
1 pound navy beans (soaked overnight)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 small or medium onion
1/2 pound bacon
3/8 cup molasses (1/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons)
4 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons table salt
water
Bake 6 hours @ 300F, I did turn the oven down to 250F for the last 30 minutes
These beans are dynamite!
NOTE*** You need to check on this every two hours to make sure all the water has not evaporated, you want most of the water to evaporate but not completely.
If you add water (I did not have to) make sure to add HOT water, cold water could crack your casserole dish.

Baked beans is a dish containing beans, sometimes baked but, despite the name, usually stewed, in a sauce. Most commercial canned baked beans are made from haricot beans, also known as navy beans – a variety of Phaseolus vulgaris – in a sauce. In Ireland and the United Kingdom, a tomato and sugar sauce is most commonly used. They are commonly eaten on toast or as part of a full English breakfast.
In the United States there are multiple styles. Boston baked beans use a sauce prepared with molasses and salt pork, the popularity of which has led to the city being nicknamed "Beantown". Beans in a tomato and brown sugar, sugar or corn syrup sauce are a widely available type throughout the US. Maine and Quebec-style beans often use maple syrup. Canned baked beans are used as a convenience food, shortening cooking times for a meal, or may be eaten straight from the can, in camping or emergency settings, as they are pre-cooked. They are very popular and are often served with chips, waffles and other such goods. Also, they are usually eaten with dinner or lunch.

Kentucky Baked Beans (2) 16-ounce cans pork 'n beans ¼ cup molasses ¼ cup tomato ketchup 1 medium onion, chopped 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, firmly packed ½ teaspoon dry mustard ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon ground paprika 2 slices uncooked bacon, chopped into small pieces In a large bowl (preferably a large measuring cup with a spout for pouring), place pork 'n beans, molasses, ketchup, onion, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt, black pepper, paprika, and uncooked bacon. Classic Boston Baked Beans - Recipe
How to make homemade old fashioned Boston Baked Beans, they are really good! Ingredients: 1 pound navy beans (soaked overnight) 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 small or medium onion 1/2 pound bacon 3/8 cup molasses (1/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons) 4 Tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon dry mustard 2 teaspoons table salt water Bake 6 hours @ 300F, I did turn the oven down to 250F for the last 30 minutes These beans are dynamite! NOTE*** You need to check on this every two hours to make sure all the water has not evaporated, you want most of the water to evaporate but not completely. If you add water (I did not have to) make sure to add HOT water, cold water could crack your casserole dish. There's no better eating beans when you serve up your own homemade BBQ Baked Beans right off the Barbecue grill. Watch one of the BBQ Pit Boys show you how easy it is to do. Just add 4-5 1lb. cans of your favorite pre-cooked beans, with 1/4lb. thick-cut bacon, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 4 tablespoons prepared mustard, to a 3-4 quart black iron pan. Betty demonstrates how to make Kentucky Baked Beans. These flavorful baked beans are made from canned pork 'n beans, but the recipe may be adjusted to use dry navy beans instead.
Kentucky Baked Beans
(2) 16-ounce cans pork 'n beans
¼ cup molasses
¼ cup tomato ketchup
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon light brown sugar, firmly packed
½ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon ground paprika
2 slices uncooked bacon, chopped into small pieces
In a large bowl (preferably a large measuring cup with a spout for pouring), place pork 'n beans, molasses, ketchup, onion, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt, black pepper, paprika, and uncooked bacon. Stir until combined. Pour mixture into an oven-proof baking dish and bake at 350 degrees (F) for about 1 hour. Stir occasionally. When done, remove from the oven and serve immediately. 1 teaspoon baking soda

How to make homemade old fashioned Boston Baked Beans, they are really good!
Ingredients:
1 pound navy beans (soaked overnight)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 small or medium onion
1/2 pound bacon
3/8 cup molasses (1/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons)
4 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons table salt
water
Bake 6 hours @ 300F, I did turn the oven down to 250F for the last 30 minutes
These beans are dynamite!
NOTE*** You need to check on this every two hours to make sure all the water has not evaporated, you want most of the water to evaporate but not completely.
If you add water (I did not have to) make sure to add HOT water, cold water could crack your casserole dish.

Meat lovers fall over themselves for a sandwich of barbequed pulled pork…but here, we can use the recipe for Boston baked beans to produce a huge pulled pork shoulder with a taste that is truly unique! Many folks here in New England have sat down on a Saturday evening to a traditional dinner of franks and Boston baked beans. (Some lucky folks have even had original New England Brown Bread to accompany it!) But, lately, I've discovered this same recipe can be used in a manner somewhat less traditional, to produce a huge pot of pork and beans with the amount of pork actually equal to the beans, if not fully surpassing it. This dish used two pounds of Great Northern beans, plus a ten pound pork shoulder. It was baked in a vintage 1960s-era #10 size 12-inch Birmingham Stove & Range cast iron dutch oven. This is a real hippie version of baked beans. Below are a list of ingredients. I really liked the addition of coconut. My wife and son aren't coconut fans. Feel free to leave that out.
Ingredients:
4 cups cooked pinto beans
1 coconut liquid and meat
8 oz bacon or any other meat you desire
1/1/2 onions
6 jalapeno peppers

Mix and place on 250 degree smoker uncovered for 1.5 hours. Add lid or cover with foil and continue to cook on 250 degree smoker for 1.5 hours.

There's no better eating beans when you serve up your own homemade BBQ Baked Beans right off the Barbecue grill. Watch one of the BBQ Pit Boys show you how easy it is to do.
Just add 4-5 1lb. cans of your favorite pre-cooked beans, with 1/4lb. thick-cut bacon, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 4 tablespoons prepared mustard, to a 3-4 quart black iron pan.
Mix the ingredients as shown and then simmer in your covered grill for about an hour, or until the excess liquid renders off. Move the pan opposite the hot coals and then cover the pan for an additional hour or so.

1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup of light brown sugar
1/2 molasses (the fancy kind lol)
3 cups of water
You shouldnt need to add more salt since the bacon is salty but you can always taste and adjust when its done. Always remember you can always add more but you cant take the salt out if theres too much.

BRUSSELS. At least 10 people were killed and 30 wounded in explosions at Brussels Zaventem airport on Tuesday morning, Belgian broadcaster RTBF cited a hospital source as saying.
