The El Paso County Sheriff's office had a little fun and posted a video of them dancing in the elevator after they say they installed a camera after constant "malfunctions." When Deputy Tony Scherb entered, he broke out all the dance move's to Silento's hit, "Whip/Nae Nae." As his colleagues entered the elevator with a straight face they all eventually joined in to do the signature coordinated dance moves. Now she has staples in her head — and marks around her neck
“I’m all bruised up banged up everywhere,” says Tiffany Tebo, who was arrested for shoplifting.
All from the aftermath she says of her arrest Friday afternoon.
“He’s a bigger man. He didn’t need to do any of that,” says Tebo.
On the officer's body cam video you can hear him yell to Tebo to put her hands behind her back.
When she doesn’t comply, she’s pushed up against a wall, then taken to the ground.
“He had a hold of me. He could’ve just put handcuffs on me. There was no reason to throw me down to the ground,” says Tebo.
Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco stands by the deputy’s actions.
“We’re trying to put handcuffs on her, she’s trying to fight. I know people will say she’s tiny but a lot of tiny people cause harm,” says Nocco.
For Tebo, she says it’s proof the force taken wasn’t necessary.
“I still can’t believe I was arrested but I can’t believe I got this to go with it,” says Tebo.

A longtime veteran of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office who rejoined the agency to serve part-time after retiring in 2013 has died at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center following an early morning shooting in Shalimar.
64-year old Deputy Myers retired from the OCSO in November 2013 after nearly 25 years with the agency. He was re-hired on a part-time basis in January of this year to assist with Civil Process.
Investigators say Myers had just finished serving a domestic violence injunction to 33-year old Joel Dixon Smith of Navarre at Cotton and Gates Law Firm on Plew Avenue around 8:20 a.m. Deputy Myers was walking outside when he was shot multiple times in the back, including a gunshot wound to the rear of his head.
Investigators say the suspect in the shooting, 33-year old Joel Dixon Smith of 9807 Navarre Parkway in Santa Rosa County, then drove to the Comfort Inn and Suites, 148 John Sims Parkway, in Niceville, where he barricaded himself inside a room.
The OCSO Special Response Team responded and evacuated the building, setting up a perimeter.
After an hour and a half of negotiations, the suspect came out of his room brandishing a firearm at 11:13 a.m. Deputies responded and the suspect was struck and taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he later died. No members of the SRT Unit were injured.
“Deputy Myers has been a treasured part of this agency’s family since 1989,” said Sheriff Larry Ashley. “He served this community with distinction for decades. He was loved, admired, and respected for his dedication to the law enforcement profession. He loved photography and he had an ability to make those around him smile, especially his young granddaughter who he adored and took to Disney World as often as he could. We pray for his soul and for his family and we ask that the community pray for them as well, and for all the men and women who have the courage in these troubled times to put their lives on the line for others.”
“We also want to express our sincere gratitude to all of you who have reached out to our agency at this time with words and gestures of support, and to all the agencies which assisted us today at the scene of the shooting and in Niceville.”

Our Sheriff's Orientation Training, or SOT, has proven a legitimate and tactical assessment tool of recruits. We launched SOT in 2007, constructing a camp at our Walter C. Heinrich Practical Training Site with billets, showers and physical fitness areas. It is a two-week, in-your-face program that covers Sheriff's Office culture, procedures, expectations and standard operating procedures. Recruits live on-site for the two weeks, immersing them in the Sheriff's Office experience while allowing our instructors the watch and gauge how they perform. We conduct SOT for both law enforcement and detention applicants, with each SOT being identical in core requirements of fitness and Sheriff's Office culture/procedures. SOT is mandatory for a recruit to advance to cadet, thus embarking on the extended training regimen tailored toward law enforcement or detention. Most recruits will make it. Some will not. -

The OCSO Special Response Team responded and evacuated the building, setting up a perimeter.
After an hour and a half of negotiations, the suspect came out of his room brandishing a firearm at 11:13 a.m. Deputies responded and the suspect was struck and taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he later died. No members of the SRT Unit were injured.
“Deputy Myers has been a treasured part of this agency’s family since 1989,” said Sheriff Larry Ashley. “He served this community with distinction for decades. He was loved, admired, and respected for his dedication to the law enforcement profession. He loved photography and he had an ability to make those around him smile, especially his young granddaughter who he adored and took to Disney World as often as he could. We pray for his soul and for his family and we ask that the community pray for them as well, and for all the men and women who have the courage in these troubled times to put their lives on the line for others.”

A longtime veteran of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office who rejoined the agency to serve part-time after retiring in 2013 has died at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center following an early morning shooting in Shalimar.
64-year old Deputy Myers retired from the OCSO in November 2013 after nearly 25 years with the agency. He was re-hired on a part-time basis in January of this year to assist with Civil Process.
Investigators say Myers had just finished serving a domestic violence injunction to 33-year old Joel Dixon Smith of Navarre at Cotton and Gates Law Firm on Plew Avenue around 8:20 a.m. Deputy Myers was walking outside when he was shot multiple times in the back, including a gunshot wound to the rear of his head.

Audio is not so great, but this was from 2006 where I witnessed a woman go in to sudden cardiac arrest. Team work with Jay, Janet, Laura and myself combined with the Sandusky Co Sheriffs Office quick response with an AED and rapid arrival of EMS. It was around 12 minutes from when she coded till she was in the ER and she had been revived on scene after being down around 6 minutes. Immediate CPR and 100% oxygen were applied and it was the entire staff that came together that made this incredible save. -

The airboat is good for rescue and evacuation in extreme shallow water. As the waters recede and boats become less viable to utilize, the air boat can get into areas to help folks.
The engine and propeller are enclosed in a protective metal cage that prevents objects from coming in contact with the whirling propeller. Because the propeller is not in the water, the airboat is useful for extreme shallow water and can easily transition to deep water. It makes a great asset for rescue and evacuation in such conditions, as the waters recede and boats become less viable to utilize, the airboat can get into areas to help folks.
During the trip, we met a resident on Poole Road who says the water level there is six inches higher than it was in 1958. Very massive flooding.

Portland, TN - The Portland Police Department and the Sumner County Sheriff's Office have released dash camera video showing a dramatic high speed chase.
The chase began early Tuesday morning when an off-duty Portland Police Officer said he saw 20-year-old David Stancil allegedly fighting with a woman and then forcing her in his car. Police began chasing Stancil, who sped off through a field to avoid capture.
The chase continued down Highway 52 before Sumner County Deputies got involved as Stancil drove down Highway 31.
During the chase, video showed Stancil swerving through lanes of traffic, often forcing cars on the two lane road to pull over.
The suspect was also inches away from hitting a school bus. Thankfully, no one on that bus was injured.
The chase ended close to 30 miles later as Stancil lost control and side-swiped one car before hitting another car head-on.
Stancil and the woman in his car were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Stancil has since been released and booked into the Sumner County Jail on a host of charges.

Audio is not so great, but this was from 2006 where I witnessed a woman go in to sudden cardiac arrest. Team work with Jay, Janet, Laura and myself combined with the Sandusky Co Sheriffs Office quick response with an AED and rapid arrival of EMS. It was around 12 minutes from when she coded till she was in the ER and she had been revived on scene after being down around 6 minutes. Immediate CPR and 100% oxygen were applied and it was the entire staff that came together that made this incredible save.

Portland, TN - The Portland Police Department and the Sumner County Sheriff's Office have released dash camera video showing a dramatic high speed chase.
The chase began early Tuesday morning when an off-duty Portland Police Officer said he saw 20-year-old David Stancil allegedly fighting with a woman and then forcing her in his car. Police began chasing Stancil, who sped off through a field to avoid capture.
The chase continued down Highway 52 before Sumner County Deputies got involved as Stancil drove down Highway 31.
During the chase, video showed Stancil swerving through lanes of traffic, often forcing cars on the two lane road to pull over.
The suspect was also inches away from hitting a school bus. Thankfully, no one on that bus was injured.
The chase ended close to 30 miles later as Stancil lost control and side-swiped one car before hitting another car head-on.
Stancil and the woman in his car were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Stancil has since been released and booked into the Sumner County Jail on a host of charges.

The stolen items recovered were returned to their rightful owners. The two suspects involved were charged with approximately 200 felonies. Our community is a safer place because of the members of this unit's extraordinary work on these cases! It is an honor to count you all as members of our TEAM! Thank you!!

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) A Florida jury sided with ex-pro wrestler Hulk Hogan on Friday and awarded him $115 million in his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker Media. The jurors reached the decision Friday evening, less than six hours after they began deliberations. The trial lasted two weeks, and Hogan wept as the verdict was read. The jury isn't finished; they will return to court Monday to award punitive damages beyond Friday's sum ... ___....
