Robert "Rob" Liefeld (born October 3, 1967) is an American comic book creator. A prominent writer/artist in the 1990s, he has since been called one of the most controversial figures in the comics industry.
In the early 1990s, the self-taught artist became prominent due to his work on Marvel Comics' The New Mutants and later X-Force. In 1992, he and several other popular Marvel illustrators left the company to found Image Comics, which started a wave of comic books owned by their creators rather than by publishers. The first book published by Image Comics was Rob Liefeld's Youngblood #1.
Rob Liefeld was born October 3, 1967, the youngest child of a Baptist minister and a part-time secretary. He and his sister, seven years his senior, grew up in Anaheim, California.
Liefeld's love of comics began as a child, which led early on to his decision to be a professional artist, a practice that began with his tracing artwork from comic books. As a high-school student, he took basic fundamental art courses, and attended comic book conventions at the nearby Disneyland Hotel, where he met creators such as George Pérez, John Romita Jr., Jim Shooter, Bob Layton, Mike Zeck and Marv Wolfman. Liefeld cites Pérez, along with John Byrne and Frank Miller, as major influences.
Walking Dead may refer to:
The Walking Dead franchise consists of:
The Walking is an avant-garde music/experimental film score studio album by Jane Siberry. The album was released on Reprise Records internationally, but remained on the independent label Duke Street Records in Canada. It is an excellent example of music that, on release, was panned by critics and largely spurned by the market, only to become a museum-quality art that has stood the test of time.
The album was initially poorly received by critics. It largely turned its back on the quirky new wave pop that Siberry had been known for; in its place was a surreal amalgam of progressive rock and Laurie Anderson-style performance art narratives, only one of which was shorter than six minutes.
Toronto progressive radio station CFNY, an early champion of Siberry's music, announced that it did not view any track on The Walking as viable for airplay on their station. Sales of the album were slow at first, although they improved when Siberry provided radio stations with a shorter edit of "Ingrid and the Footman".
Captain America is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics. Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis powers of World War II and was Timely Comics' most popular character during the wartime period. The popularity of superheroes waned following the war and the Captain America comic book was discontinued in 1950, with a short-lived revival in 1953. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has remained in publication.
Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with a nearly indestructible shield that he throws at foes. The character is usually depicted as the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum to aid the United States government's imminent efforts in World War II. Near the end of the war, he was trapped in ice and survived in suspended animation until he was revived in the present day. Although Captain America often struggles to maintain his ideals as a man out of his time with its modern realities, he remains a highly respected figure in his community which includes becoming the long-time leader of the Avengers.
A comic book or comicbook, also called comic magazine or simply comic, is a publication that consists of comic art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by brief descriptive prose and written narrative, usually dialog contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. Although comics has some origins in 18th century Japan and 1830s Europe, comic books were first popularized in the United States during the 1930s. The first modern comic book, Famous Funnies, was released in the United States in 1933 and was a reprinting of earlier newspaper humor comic strips, which had established many of the story-telling devices used in comics. The term comic book derives from American comic books once being a compilation of comic strips of a humorous tone; however, this practice was replaced by featuring stories of all genres, usually not humorous in tone.
Comic books are reliant on their organization and appearance. Authors largely focus on the frame of the page, size, orientation, and panel positions. These characteristic aspects of comic books are necessary in conveying the content and messages of the author. The key elements of comic books include panels, balloons (speech bubbles), text (lines), and characters. Balloons are usually convex spatial containers of information that are related to a character using a tail element. The tail has an origin, path, tip, and pointed direction.

At Rob Liefeld's panel at The Amazing Las Vegas 2017 Panel, I asked him, "Why do people hate Rob Liefeld?" As a long time Rob Liefeld fan, and 90s comics fan, I was curious about his answer. For the record; I'm a huge Liefeld fan, always have been. I respect his work and what's he has contributed to the comic books industry and his enthusiasm for comics and his fans is very motivating. I could never fully understand why people hate Rob Liefeld, and his work. Most people can't provide a solid answer so I figured I would ask Rob Liefeld his thoughts. *Video starts in the middle of his answer. Thanks for visiting my channel. As most of you are well aware, 20th Century Fox unveiled the first footage from director Tim Miller’s Deadpool at Comic-Con over the weekend, and to say it was a hit would be a massive understatement. In the sizzle reel, Miler and the cast showed fans how this wasn’t going to be a typical Marvel movie. Loaded with bloody violence, expletives, and everything you’d expect to see in a R-Rated Deadpool movie, the footage played so well that when moderator Chris Hardwick wanted to get to the next section of the Fox panel, the entire crowd started chanting “one more time” so they could see the footage again. In all my years of covering Comic-Con, I've never seen that happen. It was a very cool moment. Here's our recap of the panel. Shortly before the presentation, I sat down with Deadpool creat...

But as a response to what was believed to be years of mistreatment toward creative talent by the industry's leading publishers, a small – but influential – group of artists left Marvel Comics at the height of its popularity to form their own company, Image Comics. Led by the outspoken Todd McFarlane (Spawn), this group kicked off a revolution that would change the comics industry forever, instantly granting power to creators and launching Image to "rock star" status. But with great power came great turmoil, as Rob Liefeld (D...

Samsor's on the corner
Rose is all in flames
I guess
I know it's strange
Their eyes don't match
I can't complain I guess
We won't explain
Their eyes don't match
I get it
Their souls are simply
Out of synch
A weight is pressing on your soul
A stone is tearing you a toll
The rocks and trees are going home
