Emigrate is the first full-length self-titled studio album by the European band Emigrate. This album was released August 31, 2007 in Europe and was released in the United States and in Australia on January 29, 2008 but still has no Worldwide release dates.
The album was produced by band members Richard Z. Kruspe, Olsen Involtini and Arnaud Giroux, along with producer Jacob Hellner, who had previously worked with Kruspe in Rammstein. Unlike Rammstein, all the songs are sung in English.
The Romani (also spelled Romany; /ˈroʊməni/, /ˈrɒ-/), or Roma, are a traditionally itinerant ethnic group living mostly in Europe and the Americas, who originate from the northwestern regions of the Indian subcontinent, specifically from Northern India, presumably from the northwestern Indian states Rajasthan,Haryana and Punjab. The Romani are widely known among English-speaking people by the exonym and racial slur "Gypsies" (or "Gipsies"), which, according to many Romani people, connotes illegality and irregularity. Other exonyms are Ashkali and Sinti.
Romani are dispersed, with their concentrated populations in Europe — especially Central, Eastern and Southern Europe including Turkey, Spain and Southern France. They originated in Northern India and arrived in Mid-West Asia, then Europe, around 1,000 years ago, either separating from the Dom people or, at least, having a similar history; the ancestors of both the Romani and the Dom left North India sometime between the sixth and eleventh century.
"Gypsy (Of a Strange and Distant Time)" is a 1969 song by the progressive rock band The Moody Blues, from their album To Our Children's Children's Children, a concept album about space travel. Due to its long name, the song is often referred to on compilation albums as simply "Gypsy."
The song lyrics, related to the album's space travel theme, describe a traveller who is "travelling in panic all direction blind, aching for the warmth of a burning sun, freezing in the emptiness of where he'd come from." The lyric suggests that the traveller may never be returning home to earth as she is "Left without a hope of coming home."
Gypsy (Cynthia "Cindy" Reynolds) is a fictional comic book superhero who appears in books published by DC Comics, in particular those featuring the Justice League. She first appeared in Justice League Annual #2 (November 1984) and was created by Gerry Conway and Chuck Patton. She is a member of the Birds of Prey and has been a member of the Justice League.
Cindy Reynolds is born to suburban couple Edward and June Reynolds. When her powers of illusion begin to manifest at age fourteen, Cindy runs away from home, buying a one-way bus ticket to Detroit.
Once in Detroit, Cindy uses her chameleon and illusion-casting powers to protect herself. As she grows to adulthood, she adopts the identity of Gypsy, patterning her dress after the popular image of the gypsy. The Justice League would soon take up residence in a neighborhood near Gypsy's stomping grounds after Aquaman disbands the original League.
Shortly after the League moves into their new headquarters Gypsy begins to test and penetrate the League's security measures. Eventually, she becomes brave enough to follow along with them and to aid in the battle against the Overmaster and his Cadre. After this, Gypsy receives an offer to become a full-time member of the Justice League. Gypsy goes on to participate in the League's struggles against the power-mad Anton Allegro and a reactivated Amazo.
World is a common name for the whole of human civilization, specifically human experience, history, or the human condition in general, worldwide, i.e. anywhere on Earth or pertaining to anywhere on Earth.
In a philosophical context it may refer to:
In a theological context, world usually refers to the material or the profane sphere, as opposed to the celestial, spiritual, transcendent or sacred. The "end of the world" refers to scenarios of the final end of human history, often in religious contexts.
World history is commonly understood as spanning the major geopolitical developments of about five millennia, from the first civilizations to the present.
World population is the sum of all human populations at any time; similarly, world economy is the sum of the economies of all societies (all countries), especially in the context of globalization. Terms like world championship, gross world product, world flags etc. also imply the sum or combination of all current-day sovereign states.
"World" is a song from the Bee Gees' fourth album Horizontal, released in 1967 in the United Kingdom. Though it was a big hit in Europe, Atco Records did not issue it as a single in the United States, having just issued a third single from Bee Gees' 1st, "Holiday".
The song's lyrics question the singer's purpose in life.
The song's first recording session was on 3 October 1967 along with "With the Sun in My Eyes" and "Words". The song's last recording session was on 28 October 1967. "World" was originally planned as having no orchestra, so all four tracks were filled with the band, including some mellotron or organ played by Robin. When it was decided to add an orchestra, the four tracks containing the band were mixed to one track and the orchestra was added to the other track. The stereo mix suffered since the second tape had to play as mono until the end when the orchestra comes in on one side. Barry adds: "'World' is one of those things we came up with in the studio, Everyone just having fun and saying, 'Let's just do something!' you know". Vince Melouney recalls: "I had this idea to play the melody right up in the top register of the guitar behind the chorus".

I am the eye of the hurricane
I hear you cry yet I feel no pain
I wash away the hurt and broken chains
After all these years your heart's so cold to me
Give me all the things that you don't need
Fill me up with the air you breathe
If I ever see the day that you don't need me
Use me up, cut me dry, shut my mouth, say goodbye
I'll let go of what I know
Break my world
Break my world
I sit inside of an empty room
Your heart is heavy is heavy and it's lonely too
I give you more then I'm over you
After all this time your eyes are cold to me
Give me all the things that you don't need
Fill me up with the air you breathe
If I ever see the day that you don't want me
Use me up, cut me dry, shut my mouth, say goodbye
I'll let go of what I know
Break my world
Break my world
Break my world
Break my world
Use me up, cut me dry, shut my mouth, say goodbye
I'll let go of what I know
Break my world
