This the trailer for the 1953 Fox Film Noir, "Vicki" which was a remake of an earlier film noir, "I Wake Up Screaming" (1941). While undoubtedly inferior to the original film, the movie holds together due to the lovely presence of Jeanne Crain (this was the final film under her Fox contract), playing the role of Jill Lynn (Betty Grable's role in IWUS), Jean Peters (who costarred in "Niagara", and would at one point marry Howard Hughes), as the ill-fated Vicki (portrayed in the original by the equally ill-fated Carole Landis), and Richard Boone as Lt. Ed Cornell (Laird Cregar portrayed the role in the 1951 film). Also, you'll get to see Aaron Spelling before he became one of the most powerful and wealthy men in show business. If you haven't seen either film, I don't want to give away too much of the plot, the trailer will tell you enough. I noticed it hadn't been posted yet, so here it is. Enjoy!

1953 - Remarkable unseen photographs of a 27 year old Marilyn Monroe taken by her trusted make-up artist Allan Snyder. They reveal a more natural and relaxed side of the screen legend and the friendship and trust between them is clearly apparent. The pictures of Allan "Whitey" Snyder are remarkable because of the obvious warmth of his relationship with Monroe, taken on kodachrome slide film, on the set of Niagara in 1953. During filming Snyder noticed her stage fright (that would ultimately mark her behavior on film sets throughout her career); the director assigned him to spend hours gently coaxing and comforting Monroe as she prepared to film her scenes.
