I wasn't going to make a Souls 3 parry guide because my Souls 2 guides advice is all still applicable, but I was invading recently and happened to have a match that demonstrated every single piece of advice within one fight, and that changed my mind.
I figured if I can bring you an even more concise guide to parries, and do it in a new way that is entertaining, then why not help some people out?
Ask any questions down in the comments and I'll get back to you.
Note:
I don't know anything about startup/active frames. To me, parrying is about instinct, and you will get that if you practice them enough. Yes, I use shields that are known to have better 'frames' for parries, but this is all stuff you can do with a mid sized shield just as easily. It's more or less a matter of shifting your window for when you pull the trigger.
Parrying is a state of mind. This video exists to illustrate what's happening in my brain when I'm fighting an opponent. Start by learning to setup parry, move into baited parries and eventually you will be landing prediction parries as well.

So pushing is pretty great, it's faster than a kick, comes with boat loads of blocking frames, low stam cost and can stagger. Now couple with any somewhat fast offhand for dem free hits.
For whatever reason 1-handed pushes are much faster, and while one handed you can still use your shield moveset, so running attacks. You cannot push any move that is in a stance, you will get block frames but you can't interupt.
So when this happens just 2-hand your shield and do the ol' Havel Shield Meta and ram em until they stop!

A Digital Signal 3 (DS3) is a digital signal level 3 T-carrier. It may also be referred to as a T3 line.
DS3 interconnect cables must be made with true 75 ohm coaxial cable and connectors. Cables or connectors which are 50 ohm or which significantly deviate from 75 ohms will result in signal reflections which will lower the performance of the connection, possibly to the point of not working. GR-139-CORE, Generic Requirements for Central Office Coaxial Cable, defines type 734 and 735 cables for this application. Due to losses, there are differing distance limitations for each type of cable. Type 734 has a larger center conductor and insulator for lower losses for a given distance. The BNC connectors are also very important as are the crimping and cable stripping tools used to install them. Trompeter, Cannon, Amphenol, Kings, and Canare make some of the true 75 ohm connectors known to work. RG-6 or even inexpensive RG-59 cable may work temporarily when properly connectorized, though it does not meet telephony technical standards.

I wasn't going to make a Souls 3 parry guide because my Souls 2 guides advice is all still applicable, but I was invading recently and happened to have a match that demonstrated every single piece of advice within one fight, and that changed my mind.
I figured if I can bring you an even more concise guide to parries, and do it in a new way that is entertaining, then why not help some people out?
Ask any questions down in the comments and I'll get back to you.
Note:
I don't know anything about startup/active frames. To me, parrying is about instinct, and you will get that if you practice them enough. Yes, I use shields that are known to have better 'frames' for parries, but this is all stuff you can do with a mid sized shield just as easily. It's more or less a matter of shifting your window for when you pull the trigger.
Parrying is a state of mind. This video exists to illustrate what's happening in my brain when I'm fighting an opponent. Start by learning to setup parry, move into baited parries and eventually you will be landing prediction parries as well.

So pushing is pretty great, it's faster than a kick, comes with boat loads of blocking frames, low stam cost and can stagger. Now couple with any somewhat fast offhand for dem free hits.
For whatever reason 1-handed pushes are much faster, and while one handed you can still use your shield moveset, so running attacks. You cannot push any move that is in a stance, you will get block frames but you can't interupt.
So when this happens just 2-hand your shield and do the ol' Havel Shield Meta and ram em until they stop!

The DS3 is Citroen's entry into the premium supermini segment and offers buyers a stylish alternative to the MINI hatchback and Alfa Romeo MiTo. It's based on the Citroen C3 but offers a more upmarket cabin and a more exciting driving experience. Engines range from an efficient 89bhp diesel, which is free from road-tax thanks to its low CO2 emissions, to a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine with 148bhp which offers hot-hatch thrills. There's also a range-topping DS3 Racing model, but only 200 examples were sold in the UK. All variants get a spacious, stylish and luxurious cabin making the DS3 a fantastic all-rounder.

I’m not a huge fan of this kind of car; I call them handbag cars. To me, they represent style over substance, a pricey handbag that you can sit in rather than wear.
And there are precious few chic, premium 3-door hatchbacks to choose from. The Mini rules the roost, and has done for some time. But up until recently, the Mini shared an engine with this, the Citroen DS3.
And this is where things get interesting. While the Mini has move over to a 1.5 litre 3-cylinder motor, which is actually quite an impressive thing, Citroen have stuck with the award-winning 1.6 litre turbo which Peugeot/Citroen developed in partnership with BMW. It’s a peach of an engine and combined with the manual gearbox in this new DS3 Sport, it means that this little hatch is a genuine hoot to drive.
And then of course there are the looks. What a cracking little car. The contrasting roof and dark wheels are very in vogue at the moment but the Citroen pulls it off better than most.
In this video, we’ve picked 10 things we think you should know about the latest model, covering its customisable features, the engine, the interior and of course the price.
We’ve also compared the car to what is essentially its only rival and arch nemesis, the Mini Cooper. The DS3 Sport slots in perfectly between the entry-level Mini and the top end Mini Cooper S, both in terms of power and price.
