Camera Tracking is the process of identifying and tracking points on a video feed, and then using that data to infer how the camera is moving, then duplicating that movement in the 3D scene's camera.

With your support in achieving our funding goals, users will be able to perform object manipulations at interactive rates.
We present an approach that allows users to perform 3D manipulations, such as rotations, translations, scaling, deformation, and 3D copy-paste, to objects in photographs. Our approach seamlessly reveals hidden parts of objects in photographs, and produces plausible shadows and shading. To reveal hidden parts, we use publicly available 3D models to complete missing geometry and appearance. As input, the user provides a photograph, together with a 3D model obtained using a word search on a public repository, and an object-free background filled in using in-painting techniques. Using our approach, users can create artistic compositions, manipulate vintage photographs, and even create animations.

Our approach seamlessly reveals hidden parts of objects in photographs, and produces plausible shadows and shading. To reveal hidden parts, we use publicly available 3D models to complete missing geometry and appearance. As input, the user provides a photograph, together with a 3D model obtained using a word search on a public repository, and an object-free background filled in using in-painting techniques. Using our approach, users can create artistic compositions, manipulate vintage photographs, and even create animations.

With advances in 3D printing, 3D models are becoming more available. However, unlike visual or tactile graphics, there is no standard accessible way to label components in 3D models. We present a labeling toolkit that enables users to add and access audio labels to 3D printed models. Hi Scribbled Angelfish Rigged with a high quality 2048x2048 px texture maps, its really photo realistic model for your VR realtime, game or animation film projects. Skinned in 3ds Max 2012 and rendered with only defaultscanline. I think it will look more realistic in Vray or other render plugins. Three-dimensional models are important learning resources for blind people. With advances in 3D printing, 3D models are becoming more available. However, unlike visual or tactile graphics, there is no standard accessible way to label components in 3D models. We present a labeling toolkit that enables users to add and access audio labels to 3D printed models. The toolkit includes Tickers, small 3D printed percussion instruments added to 3D models, and Talker, a signal processing application that detects and classifies Ticker sounds. To use the toolkit, a model designer adds Tickers to a model using 3D modeling software. A user then prints the model with Tickers and records audio labels for each Ticker. Finally, users can strum the Tickers and Talker will play the corresponding labels. We evaluated Tickers and Talker with three models in a study with nine blind participants. Our toolkit achieved an accuracy of 93% across all participants and models. We discuss design implications and future work for accessible 3D printed models.

Computer-aided design of flat patterns allows designers to \ prototype foldable 3D objects made of heterogeneous sheets \ of material. We found origami designs are often characterized \ by pre-synthesized patterns and automated algorithms. \ Furthermore, augmenting articulated features to a desired \ model requires time-consuming synthesis of interconnected \ joints. This paper presents CardBoardiZer, a rapid cardboard \ based prototyping platform that allows everyday sculptural \ 3D models to be easily customized, articulated and folded. \ We develop a building platform to allow the designer to 1) \ import a desired 3D shape, 2) customize articulated partitions \ into planar or volumetric foldable patterns, and 3) define \ rotational movements between partitions. The system \ unfolds the model into 2D crease-cut-slot patterns ready for \ die-cutting and folding. In this paper, we developed interactive \ algorithms and validated the usability of CardBoardiZer \ using various 3D models. Furthermore, comparisons \ between CardBoardiZer and methods of Autodesk® 123D™ Make, demonstrated significantly shorter time-to-prototype and ease of fabrication.

Compositing 3D Models Into Photographs Using Photoshop
Photoshop CC tutorial showing how to use 3D features to create a realistic composite between a 3D model and a Photograph. You'll learn how to place the 3D model in the right perspective and how to apply materials to the various pieces of geometry. Then you'll learn to use IBLs (Image Based Lights) to help illuminate the scene and create reflections. We'll finish off the tutorial by using adjustment layers to adjust the brightness and color of the 3D model, and to create lights to further enhance this image. Just as it is easy to create 2D construction drawings from the 3D point cloud, we can also start modeling from the point cloud directly in Trimble RealWorks. With the scanned area loaded as a point cloud, we can isolate particular elements for fast modeling. This video looks at three different elements: a steel beam, a run of pipe, and a stair core. Modeling steel is very easy with the help of two catalogs of steel types and specifications. But Trimble RealWorks helps the process along by fitting the geometry to the point cloud. In the video example we show how to segment out the point cloud, select the section type we'll be modeling, and even copy that model so we won't have to model every beam by hand. Just as it is easy to create 2D construction drawings from the 3D point cloud, we can also start modeling from the point cloud directly in Trimble RealWorks. With the scanned area loaded as a point cloud, we can isolate particular elements for fast modeling. This video looks at three different elements: a steel beam, a run of pipe, and a stair core.
Modeling steel is very easy with the help of two catalogs of steel types and specifications. But Trimble RealWorks helps the process along by fitting the geometry to the point cloud. In the video example we show how to segment out the point cloud, select the section type we'll be modeling, and even copy that model so we won't have to model every beam by hand.
Pipes are also straightforward to model using the Easy Pipe Tool. Just extract the points from the pipe you'd like to model and software examines the point cloud to determine the diameter of the pipe and runs along the point cloud to quickly model the pipe.
Again, these elements can be exported out of RealWorks and into the BIM modeling software that's appropriate, like Tekla for steel and concrete, or even SketchUp. These BIMs can then be published to Vico Office for 3D constructability analysis, quantity takeoff, 4D scheduling, and 5D estimating. Few items I stumbled on that I remember now.
DTI stands for 'Diffusion Tensor Imaging' These are the cool fiber looking images. you may have seen and very useful for seeing neural pathways and white matter in the brain. I still owe Dr. Klioze a tangible model derived from a data set he sent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffusion_MRI
Make sure you select the proper gradient image scales when creating volume renders. Otherwise you run into the trouble as I did on the show. :(
The item I was struggling with is "Crop Volume" because you can't find it as standard drop down menu item. You can find it under "All Menu Items" which is located at the top of the main menu item list, which does as it is labeled and that is to list all the menu items. Or buried under the Converters menu item. Personally I would call it the "ROI Volume Crop" tool for a stronger association. In any case, easy to use when you find it.
