Super Mario Bros. 3 (スーパーマリオブラザーズ3 Sūpā Mario Burazāzu Surī?) is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and is the third game in the Super Mario series. The game was released in Japan in 1988, in the United States in 1990, and in Europe in 1991. Development was handled by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development, led by Shigeru Miyamoto, who directed the game along with Takashi Tezuka.
The game focuses on Mario and his brother Luigi, who embark to a quest to save Princess Peach and the rulers of seven different kingdoms from the series' primary antagonist, Bowser, and his children, the Koopalings. The two must traverse a total of eight separate regions in order to restore order to the Mushroom World. Super Mario Bros. 3 builds on the gameplay of previous Mario games by introducing new power-ups used to augment character abilities, establishing several conventions that have also been featured in later titles of the franchise.
Prior to its North American release, gameplay footage from Super Mario Bros. 3 appeared in the Universal Studios film The Wizard, which helped to fuel anticipation amongst fans. The game was an instant commercial success, ultimately becoming one of the best-selling video games of all time. Super Mario Bros. 3 was also well received by critics and has ranked highly in numerous "greatest games of all time" lists. The title's popularity resulted in a short-lived animated television show, and it has since been ported to several of Nintendo's later consoles -- notably as part of Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES, which featured an updated version that would also subsequently be used for Super Mario Advance 4.

This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the NES game Super Mario Bros. 3.
This was a game my friend and I would play for hours on end. We spent a good chunk of time just playing that vs mode of sorts. Pretty sure we knew all the little tricks and secrets in most stages (and hopefully I remembered them going through the video...)
I will say I stink at that face matching game. I'm sure there's some easy trick to get the star each time, but I guess I never bothered to learn it.
Throughout the video, I get all the white ships to appear, and all but one white mushroom house to show up. It seems in 7-2 you needed a frog suit, which I thought I had a spare, but most likely wasted it way back near the earlier worlds...Whoops...
One thing I wanted to make sure I did was beat a world while wearing one of the three special suits just so I could get a different response out of the king.
You'll notice there are times when I just keep using item after item before entering a stage. The reason being I was just trying to clear up space in the inventory since it is limited.
At 3-9 you'll notice I did a nifty little trick turning Mario invisible underwater. Pointless, but something fun to do :P
I could have use my P-Wings for a ton of stages and just flown right through, but that would have been too cheap...Course, I couldn't resist doing it for the final stage... :P

The Super Mario (スーパーマリオ?) video game series, alternatively called the Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. 3 Video Walkthrough
This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the NES game Super Mario Bros. 3. This was a game my friend and I would play for hours on end. We spent a good chunk of time just playing that vs mode of sorts. Pretty sure we knew all the little tricks and secrets in most stages (and hopefully I remembered them going through the video...) I will say I stink at that face matching game. I'm sure there's some easy trick to get the star each time, but I guess I never bothered to learn it. Throughout the video, I get all the white ships to appear, and all but one white mushroom house to show up. It seems in 7-2 you needed a frog suit, which I thought I had a spare, but most likely wasted it way back near the earlier worlds...Whoops... One thing I wanted to make sure I did ... -

Super Mario Bros. 3 (スーパーマリオブラザーズ3 Sūpā Mario Burazāzu Surī?) is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and is the third game in the Super Mario series. Prior to its North American release, gameplay footage from Super Mario Bros. 3 appeared in the Universal Studios film The Wizard, which helped to fuel anticipation amongst fans. The game was an instant commercial success, ultimately becoming one of the best-selling video games of all time. Super Mario Bros. 3 was also well received by critics and has ranked highly in numerous "greatest games of all time" lists. The title's popularity resulted in a short-lived animated television show, and it has since been ported to several of Nintendo's later consoles -- notably as part of Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES, which featured an updated version that would also subsequently be used for Super Mario Advance 4.

Super Mario Bros. 3 (スーパーマリオブラザーズ3 Sūpā Mario Burazāzu Surī?) is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and is the third game in the Super Mario series. The game was released in Japan in 1988, in the United States in 1990, and in Europe in 1991. Development was handled by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development, led by Shigeru Miyamoto, who directed the game along with Takashi Tezuka.
The game focuses on Mario and his brother Luigi, who embark to a quest to save Princess Peach and the rulers of seven different kingdoms from the series' primary antagonist, Bowser, and his children, the Koopalings. The two must traverse a total of eight separate regions in order to restore order to the Mushroom World. Super Mario Bros. 3 builds on the gameplay of previous Mario games by introducing new power-ups used to augment character abilities, establishing several conventions that have also been featured in later titles of the franchise.
Prior to its North American release, gameplay footage from Super Mario Bros. 3 appeared in the Universal Studios film The Wizard, which helped to fuel anticipation amongst fans. The game was an instant commercial success, ultimately becoming one of the best-selling video games of all time. Super Mario Bros. 3 was also well received by critics and has ranked highly in numerous "greatest games of all time" lists. The title's popularity resulted in a short-lived animated television show, and it has since been ported to several of Nintendo's later consoles -- notably as part of Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES, which featured an updated version that would also subsequently be used for Super Mario Advance 4.

This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the NES game Super Mario Bros. 3.
This was a game my friend and I would play for hours on end. We spent a good chunk of time just playing that vs mode of sorts. Pretty sure we knew all the little tricks and secrets in most stages (and hopefully I remembered them going through the video...)
I will say I stink at that face matching game. I'm sure there's some easy trick to get the star each time, but I guess I never bothered to learn it.
Throughout the video, I get all the white ships to appear, and all but one white mushroom house to show up. It seems in 7-2 you needed a frog suit, which I thought I had a spare, but most likely wasted it way back near the earlier worlds...Whoops...
One thing I wanted to make sure I did was beat a world while wearing one of the three special suits just so I could get a different response out of the king.
You'll notice there are times when I just keep using item after item before entering a stage. The reason being I was just trying to clear up space in the inventory since it is limited.
At 3-9 you'll notice I did a nifty little trick turning Mario invisible underwater. Pointless, but something fun to do :P
I could have use my P-Wings for a ton of stages and just flown right through, but that would have been too cheap...Course, I couldn't resist doing it for the final stage... :P

http://www.longplays.org Played by: Tsunao Nintendo-developed game, but you should already know that. Something about wands and Koopalings. Who knows? Pretty much a port based off the SNES version(?)...Iunno. Much wasn't changed, but some noteworthy changes are lives limit increased to 999, some sound bites added, and Spade Panels can change to other panels, allowing more extra lives to be obtained (Super Leaf gives seven lives). GBA version also has World-e, which uses the e-Reader. The levels range from easy to friggin' difficult. This longplay goes through the main game while clearing every stage and stuff without warping and clears all the stages of World-e. Spade Panel was played once. Pretty much a port based off the SNES version(?)...Iunno. Much wasn't changed, but some noteworthy changes are lives limit increased to 999, some sound bites added, and Spade Panels can change to other panels, allowing more extra lives to be obtained (Super Leaf gives seven lives). GBA version also has World-e, which uses the e-Reader. The levels range from easy to friggin' difficult.
This longplay goes through the main game while clearing every stage and stuff without warping and clears all the stages of World-e. Spade Panel was played once. Matching game...or whatever, was played once. I spawn the Treasure Ship a few times (found out late how to do it. I never did understood the mechanics until now.) Deaths kept intact. Because I know someone is going to question about getting Star panels all the time: running at the goal with a full P-Meter, when given enough time and no enemies in the way, will give it to you pretty much all the time. I did it all the time on the SNES version. World-e was played with no skills (Mad Dash is all kinds of hard.). Save files were used to play the World-e stages because it is kinda impossible to scan e-Reader cards. No saves that has the actual Mad Dash stage exists (hell, the card wasn't made available to the public), so a brave soul remade it and made it available in a save.
This is the greatest Mario game ever! Better than Super Mario World. Better than all the other Mario games! Yes, I said it.
