Paladin, a cello fusion band from Malaysia consisting in 4 mad atypical cellists and a drummer, is proud to introduce it's first official Music Video to the world. 100% Malaysian made! Florian Antier a.k.a. Flow is a French cellist originally from Corsica Classically trained since young age of 8, full-on music studies lead him to Paris National Superior Conservatory of Music. Spiritually drained, he gave up cello for 7 years roaming the world working odd jobs. Going against all odds, he eventually came back to playing cello again, this time as a mean of expression and freedom, found his voice and worked around South East Asia where he founded Paladin. Aidil a.k.a. Jill, born and bred in the small town of Klang in Selangor, Malaysia. He found out what a cello was at 23 years old! Wasn't easy for his modest family to support his choices, so he supported himself and worked very hard. Nonetheless, few years later he was principal cellist at the Radio Televisyen Malaysia orchestra and a well-known musician. Iqbal Mohd Hisham a.k.a. Bal is a kampung (village) boy from Banting, Malaysia. Bal started cello at the late age of 19 years old. He went through many hardships with learning this foreign instrument which most people around him didn't even know existed. Couple of years later, he is a sough after session musician and also a proud member of the RTM orchestra. Rasyid Iskandar a.k.a. Cid is a kampung boy from the village of Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Found out about the cello at age 21 and went on learning it. Being from a very large and modest family, he made many sacrifices and patiently worked very hard. Few years later he was full time member of the DBKL orchestra in Kuala Lumpur and sessioning all around the country and abroad. Adriane Palikat, who recently joined the band, started learning the drums at 19 y.o . She recently came back from 10 years in the USA (New York based), 5 of which were spent studying the drums and the rest performing all over the country. She is originally from the city of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Borneo. We are a crazy bunch of innovative and forward thinking musicians dedicated to playing fun music in an unique way without inhibitions. Our background isn't standard, in fact there is nothing standard about any of us. We love going against all odds and prove that with hard work, perseverance, humility and sincerity, anything can happen. It's the public that allowed us to exist and it's for the public that we shall keep on playing! We are grateful for the undying support of our families, friends and followers! Through the good times AND the hard times, always there...thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our repertoire is vast, across all genres, and our live sound modern and big.
