The Fat Boys are an American hip hop trio from Brooklyn, New York City, that emerged in the early 1980s. Briefly, the group was known originally as the Disco 3.
Big Buff Love, the Human Beatbox, was a pioneer in beatboxing (using his mouth to create hip hop percussion sounds). He and another contemporary, Doug E. Fresh, popularized beatboxing, inspiring other artists to innovate, including Biz Markie and, later, others such as Rahzel. Attempting to capitalize on the appearance-oriented name of the Fat Boys, another hip hop group dubbed itself the Skinny Boys, and yet another the Fat Girls. The popularity of those groups was mild in comparison, however.
The group's 1984 self-titled debut, The Fat Boys, is considered by many to be an early hip hop classic, with artists like Boogie Down Productions and Redman, among others, making references to the album. For its 1987 album, Crushin', the Fat Boys made a cover version of The Surfaris' hit "Wipe Out" with The Beach Boys singing back-up vocals. The single made it to #12 on the Billboard chart, and #10 on the corresponding R&B listing. The Fat Boys also recorded a version of "The Twist" with Chubby Checker, who performed it originally in 1960.
The Fat was an Australian sports based talk show television series, broadcast and produced by ABC TV.The series began on 6 March 2000, and ended on 18 November 2003.
Host Tony Squires, with regulars Peter Wilkins and Rebecca Wilson ran through the week's sporting news, showing the lighter side of things. One particular highlight of each episode was Slammin' Sam Kekovich's deadpan analysis of all things Australian. Regulars guests included: Dr Turf (John Rothfield), Kerry O'Keeffe, Wil Anderson, Jason Akermanis and Liz Ellis. Initially the show consisted of a 30 minute Monday night wrap of the weekend's sports. After gaining popularity, 2002 saw the show extended to a one-hour timeslot still on a Monday night. In 2003 the format, scheduling and length of the show was altered, with a one and half hour show being shown on Friday night. Criticisms arose of the new format, which saw the show turn away from only sports topics and into a variety show. The Friday night scheduling eliminated the wrap of the previous weekend's sporting events eventually resulting in a ratings drop and much of the popularity subsided.
Fat Boy, fatboy or fat boys
A boy is a young male human, usually a child or adolescent. When he becomes an adult, he is described as a man. The most apparent difference between a typical boy and a typical girl is the genitalia. However, some intersex children with ambiguous genitals, and genetically female transgender children, may also be classified or self-identify as a boy.
The term boy is primarily used to indicate biological sex distinctions, cultural gender role distinctions or both. The latter most commonly applies to adult men, either considered in some way immature or inferior, in a position associated with aspects of boyhood, or even without such boyish connotation as age-indiscriminate synonym. The term can be joined with a variety of other words to form these gender-related labels as compound words.
The word "boy" comes from Middle English boi, boye ("boy, servant"), related to other Germanic words for boy, namely East Frisian boi ("boy, young man") and West Frisian boai ("boy"). Although the exact etymology is obscure, the English and Frisian forms probably derive from an earlier Anglo-Frisian *bō-ja ("little brother"), a diminutive of the Germanic root *bō- ("brother, male relation"), from Proto-Indo-European *bhā-, *bhāt- ("father, brother"). The root is also found in Flemish boe ("brother"), Norwegian dialectal boa ("brother"), and, through a reduplicated variant *bō-bō-, in Old Norse bófi, Dutch boef "(criminal) knave, rogue", German Bube ("knave, rogue, boy"). Furthermore, the word may be related to Bōia, an Anglo-Saxon personal name.
New York is a state in the Northeastern United States and is the United States' 27th-most extensive, fourth-most populous, and seventh-most densely populated state. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south and Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border in the Atlantic Ocean with Rhode Island, east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec to the north and Ontario to the west and north. The state of New York, with an estimated 19.8 million residents in 2015, is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City, the state's most populous city and its economic hub.
With an estimated population of nearly 8.5 million in 2014, New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States. The New York City Metropolitan Area is one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. New York City is a global city, exerting a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace defining the term New York minute. The home of the United Nations Headquarters, New York City is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world, as well as the world's most economically powerful city. New York City makes up over 40% of the population of New York State. Two-thirds of the state's population lives in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and nearly 40% live on Long Island. Both the state and New York City were named for the 17th century Duke of York, future King James II of England. The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.

The Fat Boys are feeling down, but they cheer themselves up by doing what they do best. From the movie Krush Groove. Lyrics: $3.99 for all you can eat? Well, I'm a stuff my face to a funky beat! We're gonna walk inside, and guess what's up? Put some food in my plate, and some Coke in my cup! Give me some chicken, franks, and fries, And if you pass me a lettuce, I'm a pass it by! So keep shoveling, (Ha!) onto my plate. Give me some sweets and lots of cake. Give me some hot macaroni and cheese! GIVE ME SOME MORE FOOD PLEASE! Give me some bologna, salami, and ham, Toast with butter and strawberry jam. I love it whether the food is cold or hot, Put a burger on the plate, and it'll hit the spot. We'll eat everything in an incredible feat $3.99 for all you can eat!

FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS By Kim Selling If every bastard who had ever judged my body were lined up in front of me firing squad style, and I were given the right to do with them as I pleased, I would be at a loss. I would probably yell “EAT ME!” cuz I love a good fat girl pun. But there’s nothing else left inside to make them understand the extreme ignorance and mis-spent pain that they embody. You can all just fucking eat me. Devour my scarlet throbbing flesh like junior high vultures. Like sorority pledge councils. Like debutante beauty queens. I don’t look like you. What the fuck else is new? There’s no footnote in the regulations index of my life that says I have to sleep on elipticals and suck down the hopeful semen of boys named Jimmy until you understand my body. You wont ever understand ...

Spoken Word Poetry is a new emerging form of Public Speaking. It's an eclectic mix of words, motions, thoughts, sometimes even music in the background and more often than not it tends to leave us speechless. And this poem right here? This is a favourite. So shake the dust, you all. Transcribed: SHAKE THE DUST This is for the fat girls. This is for the little brothers. This is for the schoolyard wimps and for the childhood bullies that tormented them. For the former prom queen and for the milk crate ballplayers. For the nighttime cereal eaters and for the retired elderly Wal-Mart store front door greeters. Shake the dust. This is for the benches and the people sitting upon them. For the bus drivers driving a million broken hymns. For the men who have to hold down three jobs simply to h...

Would you deal with buckets of rain, hail, and freezing temperatures on a cold Wednesday night to taste cryoshucked oysters, centrifugally separated peas and pressure-cooked caramelized carrots? How about if they were cooked by the food world’s latest rock stars, the Modernist Cuisine book team? Or, if the recipes were drawn from the pages of a $625 cookbook? Many a person would and did, as the Institute of Culinary Education‘s Modernist Cuisine book launch party was packed. David Chang called it “the cookbook to end all cookbooks.” Michael Ruhlman’s review in the New York Times was a bit more skeptical.

My niggas, they ain't jealous, it's all fuckin good
Cuz even out da hood, I got the crazy contell
And when them hoes see me they be straight holla real

And take a look at how we live and how we fuckin survive

You give em ten [?] sell em tons of dank
But you don't trust me and I know you don't like my kind
You out there stealin
We killin n dealin and givin out all that time
Some that's trapped have no choice they got to fuckin bust
