Abraham (/ˈeɪbrəˌhæm, -həm/ (Hebrew: אַבְרָהָם, listen )), birthname Abram, is the first of the three biblical patriarchs. His story, told in chapters 11 through 25 of the Book of Genesis, plays a prominent role in Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the Bahá'í Faith.
According to Jewish tradition and the Bible's internal chronology, Abraham was born in the year 1948 from Creation (1813 BCE). To date, there has been little if any archaeological or other scientific evidence to confirm his existence at that time. Scholars variously consider Abraham to have lived as late as the seventh century BCE, or that he is a later, literary construct and not a historical person. Potentially, excavation of his traditional burial site, the Cave of the Patriarchs at Hebron, along with carbon dating and/or DNA analysis from the bodies in comparison with the shared Y-chromosomal genes among Jewish and Arab people, his patriarchal offspring by tradition, could provide evidence confirming his existence and chronology.
"Your Child" is a song by Mary J. Blige, released as the fourth U.S. single from her fourth album, Mary.
The song was a large success on the U.S. Dance charts, peaking at number one. "Your Child" also peaked at number twenty-three on the R&B charts.
The music video for "Your Child" featured Blige performing alongside Harvey White, Joyce Washington, Billie Woodruff and actor Leon Robinson.
Innervisions is the 16th studio album by American musician Stevie Wonder, released August 3, 1973, on the Tamla label for Motown Records, a landmark recording of his "classic period". The nine tracks of Innervisions encompass a wide range of themes and issues: from drug abuse in "Too High", through inequality and systemic racism in "Living for the City", to love in the ballads "All in Love Is Fair" and "Golden Lady". The album's closer, "He's Misstra Know-It-All", is a scathing attack on then-US President Richard Nixon, similar to Wonder's song a year later, "You Haven't Done Nothin'".
As with many of Stevie Wonder's albums, the lyrics, composition and production are almost entirely his own work, with the ARP synthesizer used prominently throughout the album. The instrument was a common motif among musicians of the time because of its ability to construct a complete sound environment. Wonder was the first black artist to experiment with this technology on a mass scale, and Innervisions was hugely influential on the subsequent future of commercial black music. He also played all or virtually all instruments on six of the album's nine tracks, making most of Innervisions a representative one-man band.
Heaven's Open is the 14th record album performed by Mike Oldfield, released in 1991. It was his last album on Virgin, and also the only album he released under the name Michael Oldfield, instead of Mike Oldfield. The producer of the album, Tom Newman's name is also spelled out in a similar manner, as Thom Newman.
By 1991 and the release of Heaven's Open, Oldfield was happy to leave Virgin Records. The final goodbye to Virgin appears at the very end of "Music from the Balcony", where quiet laughter and Oldfield's voice saying "Fuck off!" can be heard.
Heaven's Open is Oldfield's only album where he performs all the lead vocals himself, due to his having come to terms with the sound of his own voice.
After leaving Virgin, Oldfield released the anticipated Tubular Bells II in 1992 with Warner Brothers.
The album's cover is a reworked version of a photo originally taken for Tubular Bells, when the working title was Breakfast in Bed. In this cover art, blood was pictured dripping from the egg, rather than yolk. The working title for Heaven's Open was Man in the Rain. The song "Heaven's Open" comes largely from an early version of "Man in the Rain". The "Man in the Rain" title would later be used by Oldfield as a single from the Tubular Bells III album.
"Jesus Loves Me" is a Christian hymn written by Anna Bartlett Warner (1827–1915). The lyrics first appeared as a poem in the context of an 1860 novel called Say and Seal, written by her older sister Susan Warner (1819–1885), in which the words were spoken as a comforting poem to a dying child. The tune was added in 1862 by William Batchelder Bradbury (1816–1868). Along with his tune, Bradbury added his own chorus "Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus Loves me..." After publication as a song it became one of the most popular Christian hymns in churches around the world, especially among children.
As originally published in 1860, it appeared in three stanzas, as follows:
Jesus loves me—this I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to him belong,—
They are weak, but he is strong.
Jesus loves me—loves me still,
Though I'm very weak and ill;
From his shining throne on high,
Comes to watch me where I lie.
Jesus loves me—he will stay,
Close beside me all the way.
Then his little child will take,
Up to heaven for his dear sake.

On Christmas Day 2011, Ben Breedlove's soul went to heaven. But it wasn't his first time there. Ben suffered from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a heart condition that posed a constant risk of sudden death. His condition, a thickening of the heart muscle, worsened over time, leaving him weak and fatigued. It also led Ben to some close calls medically, in particular cardiac arrest on four separate occasions, during which he felt the presence of angels and experienced the perfect peace of heaven. At first, Ken Abraham wrote off his mother's changes in behavior as quirks that just come with old age. There was memory loss, physical decline, hygiene issues, paranoia, and uncharacteristic attitudes. He soon realized that dementia had changed her life — and his family's — forever. "How is it possible to lose a loved one while he or she is still living, still sitting right in front of you, talking with you, smiling at you — and yet the person you have known and loved for years is somehow gone?" According to the Alzheimer's Association, an estimated 5.4 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's disease. That's one in eight older Americans. More than likely, that figure includes someone you know and love. As he chronicles his own mother's degenerative condition, New York Times best...

The Making of a President 1860 - 1862 We journey back from the White House to Lincoln's poor backwoods home, and visit the roots from which his legend grew. Lincoln's words, and those of the people who knew him, are made vivid by exceptional photographs from the definitive Lincoln archives. They capture not only the president's powerful face and those of his family and contemporaries, but also many personal details that reveal so much - images of his home, his horse, his barn, his dog, his books, and even his back yard. From humble beginnings, "Lincoln" traces the growth of the man's ambition to succeed and his simple eloquence, which moved all those who heard him speak. It takes to the threshold of Lincoln's greatest challenge - to be both America's President and the Union Army's Comman...
