This song is from my CD "Look Up" that I made with my mom when I was only 10 years old! The music and lyrics were written by Melanie Hoffman and the audio production was done by Roger Hoffman. Darrell McFadden & The Fantastic Disciples - Message To The World Audio CD
Release Date: April 2, 1996
Darrell McFadden started singing at a very young age in his church choir. His pastor Apostle D. Johnson and other members of the House of Faith C.O.H. church often told him that the Lord had blessed him with a very special voice. Every since then he found out that "The Lord Has Never Failed Him Yet". While still in his youth he joined a family group called the " The Spiritual Voices" of Brooklyn, New York; where he sung with them for six years. After leaving the "Spiritual Voices' he helped to organize a group called " The Golden Sons". Along with the help of Deacon Robert Campbell and his father Matt McFadden, Jr. who was the booking manager, he gave five years of faithful service to the "Golden Sons".
After "Resting Awhile" he was inspired to move up higher and joined Willie Banks and The Messengers of Jackson, Mississippi. In the short time that Darrell was there he gained years of experience through the knowledge and teachings of Willie Banks. While "Only Believing" in Christ he stepped out on faith again and formed his own group called "Darrell McFadden and The Fantastic Disciples".
Darrell knew and believed that "God Specializes" in things that seem impossible. Since the group's inception, the Lord has continuously blessed them and they continue to say "Yes Lord" to his will and to his way. I know that you will enjoy this album as it is guaranteed to make every "Tear Drop" fall.
It is with great pleasure that we bring to you Darrell McFadden's first two CD's on the R.T. G. record label. Please enjoy "Heard of A City" and "True Inspirations" by this sensational group.

DARRELL MCFADDEN AND THE DISCIPLES: ALIVE! 2OTH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT.
For two decades, Darrell McFadden and the Disciples, have been making down home traditional gospel music just like four part harmonizers make it in southern quartet hubs such as Canton, MS (home of the Canton Spirituals), Jackson, MS (birthplace of The Jackson Southernaires) or Tupelo, MS (the launching pad for Lee Williams & the Spiritual QCs). The only difference is these guys hail from Brooklyn, New York -- the northern urban mecca that produced rap legend Notorious B.I.G., boxer Mike Tyson and comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
Now, the group has assembled a jam-packed live CD/DVD, Alive! 20th Anniversary Concert (Blacksmoke Music Worldwide), that will release nationally on November 22, 2011.
"We're honored and privileged to be used as instruments of God to deliver this project, 20 years in the making," says the group's founder, Bishop Darrell McFadden, who is pastor of the Galilean Deliverance Temple in Bronx, NY. "We've had some hard times, but we count it all joy. We thank God for our Fans because they've had our backs throughout this entire journey, we thank and love them so much! And always remember, In all of thy getting, make sure you get an understanding."
The twenty-two song, two-disc set (one CD and one video DVD) was recorded in April 2011 at the Christian Faith Center in Creedmore, NC and features the Disciples' most-loved hits. Among them are the soul-stirring ballad "I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)", the hand clappers "Shackles" and "Long As I Got Jesus (That's Alright)" and the upbeat "Be Ready."
The set also features two studio performances, including the `70s R&B; throwback groove, "Wilderness." Jazzing up quartet has been in the group's lifeblood from the start.
"We want to take quartet music to a new stage of recognition and popularity,".says McFadden. "A lot of people have lost touch with it, or aren't even familiar with it, or have an inaccurate impression about it. We want to show them that it can still be current and modern, and something they can latch onto and enjoy. But our greatest purpose is just to win souls."

The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a mainline Protestant Christian denomination in the United States in the Reformed tradition. It is often referred to as The Christian Church, The Disciples of Christ, or as The Disciples. The Christian Church was a charter participant in the formation of the World Council of Churches and of the Federal Council of Churches (now the National Council of Churches), and it continues to be engaged in ecumenical conversations.
The Disciples' local churches are congregationally governed. In 2008 there were 679,563 members in 3,714 congregations in North America. For 2012, their Yearbook & Directory claimed 625,252 members in 3,627 congregations.
History
The name, Disciples of Christ, is shared by two groups, The Churches of Christ and the independent Christian churches and churches of Christ. They emerged from the same roots. The Stone-Campbell movement began as two separate threads, each without knowledge of the other, during the Second Great Awakening in the early 19th century. The first of these two groups, led by Barton W. Stone began at Cane Ridge, Bourbon County, Kentucky. The group called themselves simply Christians. The second, began in western Pennsylvania and Virginia (now West Virginia), led by Thomas Campbell and his son, Alexander Campbell. Because the founders wanted to abandon all denominational labels, they used the biblical names for the followers of Jesus that they found in the Bible.

Darrell McFadden started singing at a very young age in his church choir. His pastor Apostle D. Johnson and other members of the House of Faith C.O.H. church often told him that the Lord had blessed him with a very special voice. Every since then he found out that "The Lord Has Never Failed Him Yet". While still in his youth he joined a family group called the " The Spiritual Voices" of Brooklyn, New York; where he sung with them for six years. After leaving the "Spiritual Voices' he helped to organize a group called " The Golden Sons". Along with the help of Deacon Robert Campbell and his father Matt McFadden, Jr. who was the booking manager, he gave five years of faithful service to the "Golden Sons".
After "Resting Awhile" he was inspired to move up higher and joined Willie Banks and The Messengers of Jackson, Mississippi. In the short time that Darrell was there he gained years of experience through the knowledge and teachings of Willie Banks. While "Only Believing" in Christ he stepped out on faith again and formed his own group called "Darrell McFadden and The Fantastic Disciples".
Darrell knew and believed that "God Specializes" in things that seem impossible. Since the group's inception, the Lord has continuously blessed them and they continue to say "Yes Lord" to his will and to his way. I know that you will enjoy this album as it is guaranteed to make every "Tear Drop" fall.

For two decades, Darrell McFadden and the Disciples, have been making down home traditional gospel music just like four part harmonizers make it in southern quartet hubs such as Canton, MS (home of the Canton Spirituals), Jackson, MS (birthplace of The Jackson Southernaires) or Tupelo, MS (the launching pad for Lee Williams & the Spiritual QCs). The only difference is these guys hail from Brooklyn, New York -- the northern urban mecca that produced rap legend Notorious B.I.G., boxer Mike Tyson and comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
Now, the group has assembled a jam-packed live CD/DVD, Alive! 20th Anniversary Concert (Blacksmoke Music Worldwide), that will release nationally on November 22, 2011.
"We're honored and privileged to be used as instruments of God to deliver this project, 20 years in the making," says the group's founder, Bishop Darrell McFadden, who is pastor of the Galilean Deliverance Temple in Bronx, NY. "We've had some hard times, but we count it all joy. We thank God for our Fans because they've had our backs throughout this entire journey, we thank and love them so much! And always remember, In all of thy getting, make sure you get an understanding."
The twenty-two song, two-disc set (one CD and one video DVD) was recorded in April 2011 at the Christian Faith Center in Creedmore, NC and features the Disciples' most-loved hits. Among them are the soul-stirring ballad "I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)", the hand clappers "Shackles" and "Long As I Got Jesus (That's Alright)" and the upbeat "Be Ready."
The set also features two studio performances, including the `70s R&B; throwback groove, "Wilderness." Jazzing up quartet has been in the group's lifeblood from the start.
"We want to take quartet music to a new stage of recognition and popularity,".says McFadden. "A lot of people have lost touch with it, or aren't even familiar with it, or have an inaccurate impression about it. We want to show them that it can still be current and modern, and something they can latch onto and enjoy. But our greatest purpose is just to win souls."

Remember Christ is the potter and we are the clay.

Definition of the word dross-something regarded as worthless, rubbish.
Philippians 3:7-14- But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Remember Christ is the potter and we are the clay.

Jesus Christ is many things to many people. He is easily THE MOST influential figure in human history. His words and actions changed the course and nature of the society in which he lived, as well as the world at large. Today, over 2 billion people name his name as their savior. It is difficult to imagine what the world would have looked like had he not come and shown us all how to love one another. His example sits in the back of all of our minds, whether we realize it or not.
In a time where so many of us focus on the evil and wicked things of the world (myself included) where 'wrong' seems to be the new 'right', it is so easy for us to forget why we embarked on this journey to begin with... So let us listen carefully to the powerful words spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ. Words full of Love, Truth, Wisdom and Life. And let us live as beacons of light and hope, in a world full of darkness.

This is Chapter 10 of 13.
Lazarus, also called Lazarus of Bethany, was the brother of Mary and Martha.
These three siblings were friends and disciples of Jesus, and they were people Jesus loved (John 11:5).
Once, an urgent message came from Bethany to Jesus: His friend Lazarus had become ill, and Mary and Martha wanted Jesus to come and heal him, for he was near death.
Jesus then puzzled His disciples and friends. He started by saying that the illness would not lead to death; rather, it would be for God’s glory (John 11:4).
Then Jesus stayed two days where He was, instead of going to see Lazarus (verses 5–6). During Jesus’ delay, Lazarus died, but Jesus referred to Lazarus as “asleep” and told the disciples He was going to wake him up (John 11:11).
The disciples assumed that Jesus had not visited Lazarus in the first place because He knew Lazarus would heal on his own, so they said, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better,” clearly thinking of physical sleep (John 11:12).
Then Jesus told them plainly that Lazarus had died, but they were still going to see him (verse 14).
Thomas perfectly expresses the disciples’ confused frustration by saying, “Let us also go, that we may die with him” (verse 16)—the area of Bethany was full of Jesus’ enemies (verse 8).
When they arrived at Lazarus’ home in Bethany, they found Mary and Martha grief-stricken.
They had buried their brother four days earlier. Jesus had not come to help.
They were confused and frustrated, but their faith in Jesus was intact (John 11:17–36).
Everything became clear when Jesus did the unexpected: He went to Lazarus’ tomb and raised him from the dead (verses 43–44).
The entire episode of Lazarus’ sickness, death, and resurrection worked toward giving glory to God and increasing the faith of Jesus’ followers, just as Jesus had said when He heard of Lazarus’ illness.
Just before He raised Lazarus, Jesus prayed, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.
I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me” (John 11:41–42).
Jesus’ prayer was answered: Lazarus came back to life, and “many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him” (verse 45).
When Jesus called to Lazarus, Lazarus emerged from the tomb—not a zombie or half-dead or undead, but fully alive and well.
Such is the power of Christ. Scripture never records what Lazarus experienced during his four days in the tomb.
We assume that his soul/spirit was in paradise, where the other Lazarus was.
After Lazarus was raised from the dead, the chief priests and Pharisees plotted to kill him, because so many witnesses to the miracle believed in Jesus (John 12:10–11).
The enemies of Christ couldn't deny the miracle; the next best thing, in their view, was to destroy the evidence—in this case, the evidence was a living, breathing person.
But they couldn't stop the truth from spreading: “A large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead” (John 12:9).
