David Richard Berkowitz (born Richard David Falco; June 1, 1953), also known as the Son of Sam and the .44 Caliber Killer, is an American serial killer convicted of a series of shooting attacks that began in New York City in the summer of 1976, perpetrated with a .44 caliber Bulldog revolver. He killed six victims and wounded seven others by July 1977. As the toll mounted, Berkowitz eluded a massive police manhunt while leaving brazen letters that mocked the police and promised further crimes, highly publicized in the press. He terrorized New York and achieved worldwide notoriety.
Berkowitz was arrested by New York City police homicide detectives in August 1977, and was indicted for eight shooting incidents. He confessed to all of them, and claimed to have been obeying the orders of a demon, manifested in the form of a dog ("Harvey") who belonged to his neighbor ("Sam"). Despite his explanation, Berkowitz was found mentally competent and incarcerated in state prison for murder. In the course of further police investigation, Berkowitz was also implicated in many unsolved arsons in the city.
Steven Paul "Elliott" Smith (August 6, 1969 – October 21, 2003) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Smith was born in Omaha, Nebraska, raised primarily in Texas, and lived for much of his life in Portland, Oregon, where he first gained popularity. Smith's primary instrument was the guitar, though he was also proficient with piano, clarinet, bass guitar, drums, and harmonica. Smith had a distinctive vocal style, characterized by his "whispery, spiderweb-thin delivery", and used multi-tracking to create vocal layers, textures, and harmonies.
After playing in the rock band Heatmiser for several years, Smith began his solo career in 1994, with releases on the independent record labels Cavity Search and Kill Rock Stars (KRS). In 1997, he signed a contract with DreamWorks Records, for which he recorded two albums. Smith rose to mainstream prominence when his song "Miss Misery"—included in the soundtrack for the film Good Will Hunting (1997)—was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Song category in 1998.

The chances of him surviving are slim because wars have broken out all over Iraq & Iran and the only way to get him back is to "buy" him back from the military for $500,000. A new reality "game show" is on the air offering $1M for the contestant who can last sixty days in a solitary confinement chamber with nothing but a bed, table and toilet. A video camera watches each of the contestants 24/7 and it is the hottest show on television. Dusty Velvet is chosen as a contestant and is slowly becoming the newest "American Idol" for her antics inside the chamber. However, after a long period in darkness and isolation, things suddenly take a horrid turn for the worse in this tale from the darker side of reality.

I wanna show you sights you've never seen,
Keep your eyes wide on this short ride
we'll really see what you can be
So we slip away, (cut, cut, cut)
no one can get to us up here,
So I slip away, (cut, cut, cut)
no one can get to you up here
From this low up to a height
where all we left behind shines oh so clear,
I'll let you see another side
exchange a dream and share some fear
So we slip away, (cut, cut, cut)
no one can get to us up here,
So I slip away, (cut, cut, cut)
no one can get to you up here
Let me open a whole new world, oh
this sensation,
This liberation I offer to you
to you, (cut, cut, cut)
Come with me sweet innocence
