Just a montage of videos I put together from our recent trip to Oahu Hawaii. Watch this video and go on 5 minute vacation.
We really didnt do anything touristy. We didnt even step foot in Waikiki lol.

Hawaii's capital is located on the island of O'ahu. If you are traveling to Oahu Hawaii and are looking for a little adventure here are somethings for you to do. Filmed with GoPro Hero 4 Silver.
Things to do in Oahu Hawaii -
1.) Lanikai Beach- Beautiful clear water with 2 small islands in your front view making you wonder what lays ahead.If your up for an adventure rent a kayak and see for yourself. My friends and I rented a kayak and paddled out to Mokulua Island.
2.) Mokulua Islands- Kayaking from Lanikai Beach, the waves push you onto shore.You have 2 options, walk around the left side of the island or walk around the right side of the island. If you want a safer experience the left side is where most people go. We did not know that at the time, so unknowingly we walked along the right side. Oh boy did we have an adventure. There was a small tide pool that was breathtaking with the huge ocean just behind you. We decided to keep exploring, there was a channel of water with crashing waves blocking us from continuing to walk. We passed along when the waves were not crashing. We walked along a small ridge holding onto the rocks for support when waves came crashing. The waves were HUGE hugging our shoulders as they crashed down. I was honestly scared for my life!
3.) Crouching Lion Hike- In my opinion a perfect hike! The trail has incredible and unique views. It takes only 30-40 minutes to hike to the top. Keep in mind this hike is pretty steep and can be quiet challenging for some. This hike has no defined entrance so starting off can make you question if your actually on the trail or not.
4.) Hanauma Bay- Great place to snorkel! It is full of colorful coral. The fish look animated! This bay was formed by a volcano crater.
5.) Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail- Prepare yourself with this hike. It is a very long hike so bring lots of water. There are a few waterfalls you can stop at to cool off.
6.) Waimea Bay Beach- Loved this beach! If the tide is calm enough you can jump off some of the rocks.
7.) Waikiki Beach- World famous beach and tourist attraction. Catch a sailboat ride and cruise the ocean.
8.) Honolulu- Hawaii's capital. It's loaded with hotels, shops, restaurants and bars.

In this episode I join a circle island tour of Oahu, giving me the opportunity to see some of the best of the island in just one day. While the island is not very big there are indeed many things to see and do in Oahu, and an Oahu day tour makes this process much easier. Sure, you might not spend as much time as you'd like in each of the spots you visit, but if you do have a few days (which you probably do) you can always come back!
There is one thing that I really enjoyed about this day tour versus others I have been in and that is that besides learning what there is to do in Hawaii's main island the driver is enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable. Many of the things he will explain are difficult to learn if you're on your own, so paying attention does make the trip more fun.
My favourite spots of all those visited were Hanauma Bay and the Byodo temple. Just a couple of days before I had snorkelled in Hanauma Bay (check my other video about my experience here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORnsV8S5vOM and visit my blog for more information on these and other places visited in thw tour) and it's something you must not miss as the bay is so close to Waikiki beach.
The places to visit in Oahu that this tour covers are a good selection, considering how much is being covered, but I highly recommend you do go again on your own. For example, the tour does not stop in Turtle Bay, probably the easiest place in Oahu where to conveniently spot and swim with turtles without having to pay for a tour (check my other video of this place http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF4ryy_n8ko). There is a nice hotel and a few surf breaks nearby if you want to ride some waves while here.
I was less impressed with the Dole pineapple plantation; this is obviously a marketing stop to get tourists to spend some money. Sure, you will learn a few things about pineapples but like me you probably did not come to Hawaii for this. On the other hand, by the time you get here you will have already endured about 10 hours or more of the Oahu day tour, hence it's an opportunity to stretch your legs.

Climbing Stairways To Heaven. Started at 10 in the morning trying to find a way through the fence. Luckily I found a way through the fence but at the stairs I was sent away... Not wanting to give up I spent 4 hours climbing up the mountain and around the guard, before I was finally on the stairs. Walking/Climbing up the stairs was one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done. 6-7 hours in the sun exercising WILL make you thirsty!!!

Oahu /oʊˈɑːhuː/ or Oʻahu (pronounced [oˈʔɐhu] in Hawaiian), known as "The Gathering Place", is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands and the most populous of the islands in the U.S. state of Hawaii. The state capital, Honolulu, is on Oahu's southeast coast. Including small close-in offshore islands such as Ford Island and the islands in Kaneohe Bay and off the eastern (windward) coast, it has a total land area of 596.7 square miles (1,545.4 km2), making it the 20th largest island in the United States. In the greatest dimension, this volcanic island is 44 miles (71 km) long and 30 miles (48 km) across. The length of the shoreline is 227 miles (365 km). The island is the result of two separate shield volcanoes: Waiʻanae and Koʻolau, with a broad "valley" or saddle (the central Oʻahu Plain) between them. The highest point is Mt. Ka'ala in the Waiʻanae Range, rising to 4,003 feet (1,220 m) above sea level.
The island is home to about 953,207 people (approximately 75% of the resident population of the state, with approximately 75% of those living on the "city" side of the island). Oʻahu has for a long time been known as "The Gathering Place". However, the term Oʻahu has no confirmed meaning in Hawaiian, other than that of the place itself. Ancient Hawaiian tradition attributes the name's origin in the legend of Hawaiʻiloa, the Polynesian navigator credited with discovery of the Hawaiian Islands. The story relates that he named the island after a son.

Climbing Stairways To Heaven. Started at 10 in the morning trying to find a way through the fence. Luckily I found a way through the fence but at the stairs I was sent away... Not wanting to give up I spent 4 hours climbing up the mountain and around the guard, before I was finally on the stairs. Hawaii's capital is located on the island of O'ahu. If you are traveling to Oahu Hawaii and are looking for a little adventure here are somethings for you to do. Filmed with GoPro Hero 4 Silver.
Things to do in Oahu Hawaii -
1.) Lanikai Beach- Beautiful clear water with 2 small islands in your front view making you wonder what lays ahead.If your up for an adventure rent a kayak and see for yourself. My friends and I rented a kayak and paddled out to Mokulua Island.
2.) Mokulua Islands- Kayaking from Lanikai Beach, the waves push you onto shore.You have 2 options, walk around the left side of the island or walk around the right side of the island. If you want a safer experience the left side is where most people go. We did not know that at the time, so unknowingly we walked along the right side. Oh boy did we have an adventure. There was a small tide pool that was breathtaking with the huge ocean just behind you. We decided to keep exploring, there was a channel of water with crashing waves blocking us from continuing to walk. We passed along when the waves were not crashing. We walked along a small ridge holding onto the rocks for support when waves came crashing. The waves were HUGE hugging our shoulders as they crashed down. I was honestly scared for my life!
3.) Crouching Lion Hike- In my opinion a perfect hike! The trail has incredible and unique views. It takes only 30-40 minutes to hike to the top. Keep in mind this hike is pretty steep and can be quiet challenging for some. This hike has no defined entrance so starting off can make you question if your actually on the trail or not.
4.) Hanauma Bay- Great place to snorkel! It is full of colorful coral. The fish look animated! This bay was formed by a volcano crater.
5.) Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail- Prepare yourself with this hike. It is a very long hike so bring lots of water. There are a few waterfalls you can stop at to cool off.
6.) Waimea Bay Beach- Loved this beach! If the tide is calm enough you can jump off some of the rocks.
7.) Waikiki Beach- World famous beach and tourist attraction. Catch a sailboat ride and cruise the ocean.
8.) Honolulu- Hawaii's capital. It's loaded with hotels, shops, restaurants and bars.

In this episode I join a circle island tour of Oahu, giving me the opportunity to see some of the best of the island in just one day. While the island is not very big there are indeed many things to see and do in Oahu, and an Oahu day tour makes this process much easier. Sure, you might not spend as much time as you'd like in each of the spots you visit, but if you do have a few days (which you probably do) you can always come back!
There is one thing that I really enjoyed about this day tour versus others I have been in and that is that besides learning what there is to do in Hawaii's main island the driver is enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable. Many of the things he will explain are difficult to learn if you're on your own, so paying attention does make the trip more fun.
My favourite spots of all those visited were Hanauma Bay and the Byodo temple. Just a couple of days before I had snorkelled in Hanauma Bay (check my other video about my experience here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORnsV8S5vOM and visit my blog for more information on these and other places visited in thw tour) and it's something you must not miss as the bay is so close to Waikiki beach.
The places to visit in Oahu that this tour covers are a good selection, considering how much is being covered, but I highly recommend you do go again on your own. For example, the tour does not stop in Turtle Bay, probably the easiest place in Oahu where to conveniently spot and swim with turtles without having to pay for a tour (check my other video of this place http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF4ryy_n8ko). There is a nice hotel and a few surf breaks nearby if you want to ride some waves while here.
I was less impressed with the Dole pineapple plantation; this is obviously a marketing stop to get tourists to spend some money. Sure, you will learn a few things about pineapples but like me you probably did not come to Hawaii for this. On the other hand, by the time you get here you will have already endured about 10 hours or more of the Oahu day tour, hence it's an opportunity to stretch your legs.

In this episode I join a circle island tour of Oahu, giving me the opportunity to see some of the best of the island in just one day. While the island is not very big there are indeed many things to see and do in Oahu, and an Oahu day tour makes this process much easier. Sure, you might not spend as much time as you'd like in each of the spots you visit, but if you do have a few days (which you probably do) you can always come back!
There is one thing that I really enjoyed about this day tour versus others I have been in and that is that besides learning what there is to do in Hawaii's main island the driver is enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable. Many of the things he will explain are difficult to learn if you're on your own, so paying attention does make the trip more fun.
My favourite spots of all those visited were Hanauma Bay and the Byodo temple. Just a couple of days before I had snorkelled in Hanauma Bay (check my other video about my experience here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORnsV8S5vOM and visit my blog for more information on these and other places visited in thw tour) and it's something you must not miss as the bay is so close to Waikiki beach.
The places to visit in Oahu that this tour covers are a good selection, considering how much is being covered, but I highly recommend you do go again on your own. For example, the tour does not stop in Turtle Bay, probably the easiest place in Oahu where to conveniently spot and swim with turtles without having to pay for a tour (check my other video of this place http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF4ryy_n8ko). There is a nice hotel and a few surf breaks nearby if you want to ride some waves while here.
I was less impressed with the Dole pineapple plantation; this is obviously a marketing stop to get tourists to spend some money. Sure, you will learn a few things about pineapples but like me you probably did not come to Hawaii for this. On the other hand, by the time you get here you will have already endured about 10 hours or more of the Oahu day tour, hence it's an opportunity to stretch your legs.

Not wanting to give up I spent 4 hours climbing up the mountain and around the guard, before I was finally on the stairs.
