“Day of the German Future” in Dortmund? Let’s unite to block, sabotage and prevent the neo-Nazis from marching!
On the 4th of June 2016 neo-Nazis are about to march in the streets of Dortmund. Since 2009 the annual “Day of the German Future” rallies have become one of Germany’s most important neo-Nazi events. The local neo-Nazis of Dortmund’s far-right party “Die Rechte” want to bring the annual event to Dortmund for the first time.
What’s all this about?
The “Day of the German future” rallies are set around the far-right narrative of ‘native’ Germans dying out and being replaced by migrants and refugees. This narrative views Germany as an entity that existed for millenias with natural borders and as a fixed and ‘pure’ national and ethnic community. In other words: It’s the core ideology of national socialism with a slightly more timely wording.
What’s the deal with Dortmund and the far-right?
Dortmund has been a stronghold of neo-Nazi groups since the 1980. Over the years, the city has seen various neo-Nazi groups ranging from hooligan gangs to legalistic far-right parties. At the moment, the small neo-Nazi party “Die Rechte” (The Right) is the dominant far-right group in the city and region. Even though the party won a seat in the city council at the last communal elections, they could not be further away from a genuine interest in democratic processes. On the contrary, the party’s origins are in a number of radical and partly militant neo-Nazi groups. They have a history of violence against antifascists, migrants and people of colour. Their activity in the last years is heavily focused on migrant and refugee issues. They protest against refugee centres and camps throughout the city and spread their racist hate.
Amongst the broad variety of racist, antisemitic far-right groups and parties in Germany, “Die Rechte” is about as radical and openly in line with historical national socialism as it gets.
What can we expect on the neo-Nazi’s side?
The neo-Nazis want to march in the northern part of Dortmunds city centre – the “Nordstadt”. Being an old working class neighbourhood, more than 50% of its inhabitants today are either migrants themselves of have a migration background in their families. In earlier years, the neighbourhood has also been the site of a number of big neo-Nazi protests with far bigger counter protests.
We expect the neo-Nazi rally in June to be one of the biggest explicitly neo-Nazi marches this year. The “Day of the German Future” rallies in other cities have seen between 200 and 600 neo-Nazis so far since 2009.
Who are we?
We are a group of people who came together to block and sabotage the so called “Day of the German Future” and stop the neo-Nazis from marching. We are autonomous antifascists and cooperate with other local antifascist groups and alliances. Of course we do not only want to address local players but individuals and groups throughout Germany and Europe to join us in the activities against the “Day of the German Future” in Dortmund.
What do we want?
We want to stop the neo-Nazis from marching! We don’t get into the blame game: The door for a peaceful blockade oftentimes only opens up because of militant tactics destabilising the police operations. We are in solidarity with everyone acting against the Nazi rally in a meaningful and purposeful way. Let’s unite in Dortmund to prevent one of the last remaining big neo-Nazi events in Germany from happening.
Block, sabotage and prevent Nazi rallies!
For solidarity and emancipation without borders!

Fennovoima-Rosatom tries to build a new nuclear power plant in Pyhäjoki, Finland. Nuclear energy is by every standard outdated technology, financially unprofitable, it increases the centralization of energy production and produces hazardous nuclear waste for generations to come.
On top of it all, Fennovoima-Rosatom is destroying unique nature as we speak and messing up the Bay of Bothnia. The chosen location is a crappy one for a nuclear power plant by any means. Close to sea, close to groundwater. For example, the builders need to lift the ground level with meters to even get to start the constructions.
On Tuesday 12/04 at 6 in the morning we blocked the traffic of the only road leading to the construction site, and the landfills from continuing, by burning a crappy car filled with car tires etc. In the middle of that Fennovoima road.
The paintjob on the car said “Dialog Devil”. That’s our dialogue and that’s what we have to say to everyone demanding dialogue with Fennovoima-Rosatom.
We also want to send our solidarity to Hambach forest occupation where comrades are battling against the climate killing energy giant RWE despite heavy repression against them. One struggle!

The Human Brain Project (HBP) began in 2013; it is a research project with an ultimate goal to be achieved within the next 8 years: to create IT simulation of the functioning of the human brain. A massive project made possible only by the billion euros financing granted by the European Commission in the context of the programme ‘FET- Future and Emerging Technologies’.
Techno-sciences as an investment
The programme represents a sort of ‘New Deal’ for the new millennium: to advance scientific convergence in futuristic, therefore risky from an economic point of view, fields in order to come out with even more technological applications that can produce profits in both a social (that is to say control over society) and economic context.
The projects competing for this massive financing were six, one more fearsome than the other. They all had in common a techno-scientific convergence intended to develop new ‘revolutionary’ technological applications in the dystopia in which we are living. For example, the objective of one of the competing projects was to reconstruct all the biological processes of the human body virtually, so as to create a universally standardized model of a patient, which could be personalized by simply changing its anatomic, physiological and genetic characteristics1. Today, anti-fascists from across the country stood in solidarity with locals from around Dover to oppose neo-nazis and assorted far-right rejects who descended on the town, once more openly flying fascist flags and seig heiling.
The AFN had organised coaches from across the country, with groups traveling from Brighton, Berkshire, Oxford, Bristol, Portsmouth and London amongst others. London2Calais also organised transport, as did the UAF. We were met in Dover by a large contingent of locals organised by the Kent Anti-Racism Network.
All in all, around 350 antifascists gathered around a KARN aid convoy to Calais, which, after being filled with donations from locals, was to be sent to the port. Read the rest of this entry »

The day is here. Our friend and comrade Jared ‘Jay’ Chase goes on trial starting Monday. Will you stand with him?
Jay is supposed to be coming home on May 6th but this trial is creating a situation where he may not. We need you to PACK THE COURT. The attendance at previous hearings has been small at best. Jay is in prison on entrapment charges from the NATO 3 case and these charges stem from his time in solitary confinement at Cook County Jail.
Anita Alvarez is prosecuting Jay. Yes, the same Anita whose events you disrupted and who you voted out of office. The same fascist who prosecuted the NATO 5 cases, the Tinley Park 5 and Jason Hammond, the same monster who is finally leaving office. This is her legacy though. It does not matter that she lost -her office is prosecuting Jay for alleged assault charges. It is great that people disrupted her campaign events but will they show up for his trial?
Jay was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease while in captivity in Cook County Jail and the ongoing brutalization and isolation he has faced has contributed to a noticeable and alarming deterioration in his health.
This trial is not just about a few extra years being tacked on to his current sentence which is coming to an end in May. The State has made it very clear through this obviously vindictive prosecution that they want to ensure Jay lives out his days in their cage.
Jay needs your support and solidarity. Everyone needs to see that Chicago stands with him and we have his back.

On 21 March imprisoned anarchist comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva was transferred from module 5 to module 7 in the same jail (La Moraleja – Duenas), where he is now after having been moved last January from Topas prison (Salamanca). The transfer is the old strategy of internal dispersion used on dignified and rebellious prisoners, because Gabriel laughed in the face of the prison director during him being notified of a disciplinary sanction. We recall that Gabriel lives in captivity for 31 years and is paying dearly for his determination and rejection of submission.
