I was lucky to have known him, worked with him, but most of all we were great friends and I was proud to be taking care of his guitars. This video is about a Sheffield Yorkshire Lad named Steve Clark.
Steve spent his life creating music, whether it be writing, singing, playing, or performing. He is legendary in that the songs he wrote with the band Def Leppard have given pleasure to millions of people- Def Leppard fans or not. Unfortunately for us...Steve died at the top of his career at the young age of 30 years old. This day January 8th 2016 marks the 25th year of his passing. I wanted to do something special in his memory, and though I had bigger plans and expectations for a tribute - this is the best thing I could come up with on my own. The photos in here are from my own scrapbooks- I picked a bunch you haven't seen before and there are more where these came from! I hope you enjoy sharing some of the heartfelt memories that Steve and I shared. Please be gentle in your comments- especially where others are pictured or involved...everyone deserves respect and so do you. If you don't have anything nice to say- write it down and then burn it...send it back to where it came from and go back to your loving nature...it is there in the loving energy field that Steve still exists.
I hope you don't mind my singing the song I wrote at the beginning. - it was a way for me to heal myself through the cathartic practice of streamline writing.

The Clark Brothers
The Clark Brothers, Steve (born 1924) and James ("Jimmy") (c. 1922 – 30 October 2009), were thought to be the last of the "brothers" acts of tap-dancing's golden age.
Biography
The gospel-singing Clark Family grew up in poverty in Philadelphia. By the age of 12 Steve, the youngest, was a seasoned soloist, singing and dancing. The two brothers' first engagement was at the Cotton Club in Harlem - when they were 15 and 17. Frank Sinatra told them to move to Britain after the war, which probably saved their careers.
The Clark Brothers gave their first British performance for King George VI and became favourites in working men's clubs. They wrote hits for Max Bygraves and appeared at the London Palladium; and they opened a "University of Showbusiness" in London, where Cliff Richard and Bonnie Langford were among their pupils.
Jimmy died on 30 October 2009 aged 87. He and his brother Steve lived together in Dunstable. Jimmy's funeral took place on 17 November at St Peter's Priory Dunstable.

Steve Clark
Stephen Maynard "Steve" Clark (23 April 1960 – 8 January 1991) was an English musician. He was a guitarist and principal songwriter for the British hard rock band, Def Leppard, until 1991 when he died from alcohol poisoning. In 2007, Clark was ranked No. 11 on Classic Rock Magazine's "100 Wildest Guitar Heroes".
Biography
Childhood and adolescence
Stephen Maynard Clark was born and raised in Hillsborough, South Yorkshire, the northwestern suburb of Sheffield, England. From an early age, he showed an interest in music, attending a concert held by Cliff Richard and the Shadows aged 6. At 11, he received his first guitar which was purchased by his father on the condition that he learned to play. Clark studied classical guitar for a year before one day he discovered Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin at a friend's house.
When Clark left school his first employer was an engineering firm called GEC Traction where he worked as a lathe operator. He was 3 years into a 4-year apprenticeship with the firm by the time his band Def Leppard decided to sign a professional record deal with Phonogram Records.

This video is about a Sheffield Yorkshire Lad named Steve Clark. Steve spent his life creating music, whether it be writing, singing, playing, or performing. He is legendary in that the songs he wrote with the band Def Leppard have given pleasure to millions of people- Def Leppard fans or not. Unfortunately for us...Steve died at the top of his career at the young age of 30 years old. This day January 8th 2016 marks the 25th year of his passing. I wanted to do something special in his memory, and though I had bigger plans and expectations for a tribute - this is the best thing I could come up with on my own. The photos in here are from my own scrapbooks- I picked a bunch you haven't seen before and there are more where these came from! I hope you enjoy sharing some of the heartfelt memorie... -

He is legendary in that the songs he wrote with the band Def Leppard have given pleasure to millions of people- Def Leppard fans or not. Unfortunately for us...Steve died at the top of his career at the young age of 30 years old. This day January 8th 2016 marks the 25th year of his passing. I wanted to do something special in his memory, and though I had bigger plans and expectations for a tribute - this is the best thing I could come up with on my own. The photos in here are from my own scrapbooks- I picked a bunch you haven't seen before and there are more where these came from! I hope you enjoy sharing some of the heartfelt memories that Steve and I shared. Please be gentle in your comments- especially where others are pictured or involved...everyone deserves respect and so do you. If you don't have anything nice to say- write it down and then burn it...send it back to where it came from and go back to your loving nature...it is there in the loving energy field that Steve still exists.
I hope you don't mind my singing the song I wrote at the beginning. - it was a way for me to heal myself through the cathartic practice of streamline writing.

This was one of my favorite interviews thus far. Steve Clark is a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty in Pasadena. Steve was a professional drummer for fifteen years in rock bands, living in and out of hotels and tour buses. He’s one of the coolest guys I’ve ever spoken to and he has a great vibe and energy. Sadly, he makes me look like the uptight nerd that I am!!!
After many years on the road as a drummer, Steve decided that it was time for him to stop traveling and spend more time at home with his family. Steve has developed a passion for finding the perfect home. He’s authentic and real and it comes through with his clients (checkout the video interviews in his website). His business has sky-rocketed and he’s very glad he made the decision to transition in to real estate.
During our interview Steve said that his background as a drummer has served him well in his real estate career. From the young age of five years old, Steve was singularly focused on being a drummer. “I didn’t play soccer, or tennis, I was focused on one thing; becoming a professional drummer.”
When Steve was 19 years old, he became a professional musician and began to tour with rock bands. Steve said he was gone most of the time and when his daughter was born, he began to lose his passion for touring because he missed his young family very much. “I was a drummer. My resume was empty, with the exception of being a drummer touring our fine world. I knew I had to get out of music and I didn’t want to be in the music business. My brother had become a real estate agent he told me I should get in to the business. He told me that I had some great skills that would translate to real estate very easily.”
“I got my license and started selling homes right out of the gate,” Steve said. “I was lucky to partner with someone who was already up and running. I struck out on my own about seven years ago. I went to a boutique firm for about six years. I wanted to blow the Clark Living idea out of the water and coming to KW was a natural choice. I’m consistently over $40 million in production.”
Steve’s clients love him! Take a look at his website and look at the client videos. Steve has a very authentic style and a big why! “I know it sounds cheesy, but if you’re in this to make money, you won’t make any money. You have to be in this to help people. If you’re in this to help people you will make more than you’ve ever imagined. There are a lot of agents who are out there to make a buck. We don’t play that at all. The secret sauce in my business is to help other people.
“I’m very lucky to have such cool clients. I established myself very early on as a musician. I’m genuine but that wasn’t always the case. In the beginning of my Real Estate career I was an actor playing a part. The day before I reported for work as an agent, I wore Doc Marten combat boots, cargo shorts that went all the way to my knees, I had a mohawk and five facial piercings. The next day (when I became an agent) I shaved the Mohawk, took out the piercings, bought a suit and coerced my father-in-law in to teaching me how to tie a tie. That’s what I was supposed to do; I was a real estate agent. It wasn’t me! It took ne a few years to figure out that I wasn’t being genuine. I did a lot of soul searching (with the help of my wife) and decided that the person in the suit simply wasn’t me. I decided that I could be me; I could wear jeans and a t-shirt and just be me. That’s when my business skyrocketed. I was genuine and my clients caught that vibe. “Being authentic, being me is the only way I know how to do business. I’m not telling you that doing business this way is the right way, but it’s my way.”
I asked Steve if he is ever fearful. “Yes, I have that everyday. But, I’m not afraid of rejection. What does bother me is the difficult call in a transaction. My struggle is looking at my agenda for the day and out of fifty calls, three may be delivering bad news. I have to breathe deep and make the call. Sometimes, we have to deliver bad news. Those are tough.”
I asked Steve for one word to describe the reason for his success. His answer: “Hard work!” He added, “I’m not trying to stop you from dreaming. If you want to do real estate at a very high level, you’ve got to work hard! This is not a part-time business if you want to make a living in this business. Put your head down and work hard.”
“I have an investor client that took me five years to cultivate. I bought hundreds of lattes, lunches, and spent hundreds of hours looking at terrible properties. Don’t complain! Work hard, there’s nothing easy about this! When someone asks me, “how do I get what you have?” I tell them to work your butt off!”

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The ball bounced Turpin’s way in the waning seconds Friday night and the Spartans ended the Falcons 28-game Frank Irelan Field winning streak.
