Monique Wright (born 18 May 1973) is an Australian journalist and television personality.
Wright is co-host of Weekend Sunrise alongside Andrew O'Keefe and co-host of weekday entertainment program The Daily Edition.
Wright received national exposure as the weather presenter on the Seven Network's national breakfast program, Sunrise during 2007, being promoted from feature reporter to replace former weather presenter Grant Denyer.
Monique has covered many events such as Cyclone Larry, travelled to several Olympic Games as a roving reporter and in 2005, travelled to each finalist city in the bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
On 16 December 2007, it was announced that Monique would be stepping down from her position as Weather presenter on Sunrise for an expanded role at Seven in 2008. Seven News weather presenter David Brown replaced Wright on Sunrise in January 2008.
Monique was to participate in "The Great Walk to Beijing 2008", raising money and awareness for Olivia Newton-John's wellness centre, but the event did not occur.
Weekend Sunrise is an Australian breakfast television program, broadcast on the Seven Network and currently hosted by Andrew O'Keefe and Angela Cox. The program airs between 7:00 am and 10:00 am on Saturday and Sunday mornings
In 2005 the Seven Network replaced its struggling Sunday morning program Sunday Sunrise with a program called Weekend Sunrise which originally was an hour-long (8 am – 9 am) program with an identical format to Sunrise. Hosted by Chris Reason and Lisa Wilkinson, the program was successful and various critiques at the time called for the program to be lengthened to two hours (7:00 am – 9:00 am) and be extended to Saturday mornings as well as Sunday.
In 2006, Weekend Sunrise was extended from an hour to a two-hour show, running every Sunday from 8 am till 10 am. When Sportsworld returned for the football season Weekend Sunrise settled into a 90-minute format, 8:00 am – 9:30 am. After Sportsworld's series concluded, the show returned to a two-hour format.
Andrew Patrick O'Keefe (born 1 October 1971) is an Australian entertainer and former lawyer, best known for being the host of the game show Deal or No Deal. He is also the co-host of Weekend Sunrise alongside Monique Wright. In 2015 he was announced as the host of The Chase Australia.
O'Keefe worked as an intellectual property lawyer with Australian law firm Allens Arthur Robinson and, for a short time, with the Public Interest Advocacy Centre in Sydney.
O'Keefe first started his television career in 2003, starring in Channel Seven's AFI-nominated sketch show Big Bite. Late the same year he began hosting Deal or No Deal, the first version of the show outside its home country of the Netherlands. It has been on screen continuously since 2003, has run to over 1,500 episodes to December 2010.
In 2001 he was a member of the Australian Theatresports team that won the Just for Laughs Improv Tournament at the Montreal Comedy Festival. He played Theatresports most Sunday nights at the Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney, winning a Cranston Cup series with two-man team Dirty Harry's Bathwater.

The Real refers to that which is authentic, the unchangeable truth in reference both to being/the Self and the external dimension of experience, also referred to as the infinite and absolute—as opposed to a reality based on sense perception and the material order.
For Jacques Lacan, the order of the real is not only opposed to the imaginary but is also located beyond the symbolic. Unlike the symbolic, which is constituted in terms of oppositions such as "presence" and "absence", there is no absence in the real. The symbolic opposition between "presence" and "absence" implies the possibility that something may be missing from the symbolic, the real is "always in its place: it carries it glued to its heel, ignorant of what might exile it from there." If the symbolic is a set of differentiated signifiers, the real is in itself undifferentiated: "it is without fissure." The symbolic introduces "a cut in the real," in the process of signification: "it is the world of words that creates the world of things." Thus the real emerges as that which is outside language: "it is that which resists symbolization absolutely." The real is impossible because it is impossible to imagine, impossible to integrate into the symbolic order. This character of impossibility and resistance to symbolization lends the real its traumatic quality.

This week Monique and her husband Sidney decided to expose Kym Whitley for comments Kym made on The Real that do not match up with her relationship with Monique in real life. Apparently her and Monique are/were real friends, as in they spend time together and share things with each other that they don't share with just anybody. So when Monique finally watched the whole episode of The Real with Kym Whitley and Adrienne Bailon's comments, she had a lot to say. lailah@lailahlynn.com

If I had words like a hammer
If I had powers unreal
Then I would tear down Megiddo
And I would bring you songs of love
And every child of tomorrow
Safely in his bed could lie
And hate would die of starvation
Wish it was (I wish it was)
Wish it was today it was
Wish it was (wish it was)
Wish it was today
I’ll find an old man lonely
In the autumn of his years
I’ll find a young girl hoping
To lose herself in love
And to both I’d give a rainbow
For neither side can make it on their own
Young and old come together
Wish it was (I wish it was)
Wish it was today it was
Wish it was (wish it was)
Wish it was today
I’ll find some magic morning
I’ll take a boat out on the sea
Maybe run before the west wind
To bring you songs of love
And every fear for tomorrow
In my head could surely lie
And you and I, we’d be together
Wish it was (I wish it was)
Wish it was today it was
Wish it was (wish it was)
