The Doggfather himself, Snoop Dogg battles it out with L.A. Clippers basketball star, Chris Paul, on that latest episode of "Lip Sync Battle." The legendary rapper took on the NBA All-Star in the spirited episode which aired Thursday May 5, 2016, according to Yahoo! TV. One thing learned, professional athletes actually make pretty darn good dancers.
Paul took on one of Snoop's jams, "Gin and Juice," for his opening battle making the studio and viewing audience feel like they were traveling back in time to 1993. For Chris Paul's second lip sync the All-Star went a little further back with New Edition's "Candy Girl" wowing everyone with his spectacular dance moves.
When it was Snoop Dogg's turn to battle it out, he started with Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved." This is where his alter-ego Snoop Lion comes out to play. It should come to no surprise that Snoop Dogg was blazing things up backstage before performing the reggae classic. For his second lip sync battle, Snoop tossed his shirt and sported a wig for Journey's classis hit, "Don't Stop Believing."
This is clearly a battle where baller vs. baller. While it was hard to determine the winner, Snoop was just too classy to be declared the loser so he was awarded the belt. It had to of been the mullet wig. Nothing beats Snoop channeling his inner Steve Perry.
While Snoop Dogg gave no mention of working with Chris Paul on a future album collaboration, Snoop is ready to work with Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell. Bell, who dropped a mixtape during the offseason, caught the attention of the Doggfather.
Snoop was willing to work with Bell under one condition, "I'll make it happen. I want to make sure his leg's back right." Bell is recovering from reconstructive knee surgery after suffering a torn MCL. Bell was digging on Snoop's response because he took to his Twitter to report, "y'all can hate all y'all want, I gotta get this track done with @SnoopDogg now #OnAMission [sic]"
"Lip Sync Battle" airs on SPIKE, Thursday nights at 8pm EST
