ICC 125 Birel R32 mit TM K9 Werks-Spezial in Büren 09/2010
2003- 125cc Shifter Kart Birel R32 with TM K9 special engine. The cylinder is ported by the original manufacturer and a Mikuni TM38 with Powerjet is mounted (running not rich enough that cold day). This is my first day driving a shifter Kart. Dont wonder about the suit.. Its my racesuit from 1997... I didn´t wear it since 1999, where I stopped my Kartdriver career. So, since 1999 untill this video has been taken 09/2010, I only drove a racekart 3 times. Im 30 kg heavier now, and it fit´s very tight *g* This might be, what its like to fly an helicopter in the diningroom... doesnt it? I choosed this racetrack in Büren Germany because of its shortness and lots of corners, to make me learn drive the shifter. And because of me owning the the fastest laptime, measured at a race on this track ever, driven with a 100 cc Italsistem Reed Valve ICA 100 on a Mari Chassis in 1997. Im still proud :-) 45,13 sek! For Informatrion.. The track has been made faster in several tight corners, as you can see on the concrete on the ground. And I managed a 47,11 sek with the shifter that day, as you can see, on very slippery ground. For the video enthusiasts: The video has been taken with a gopro HD Helmet cam. With non waterproof case, sticked to the side of the helmet. Please excuse my bad english :-)
