Stephen Charles (Steve) Brine (born 28 January 1974) is a British Conservative Party politician and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Winchester. In the 2010 general election, he had a majority of 3,048 (5.4%) over the Liberal Democrat candidate Martin Tod.

Brine was educated at Bohunt Comprehensive School, Highbury College in Portsmouth and Liverpool University where he read History and served a sabbatical year as President of the Students' Union. While in Liverpool, he created a new company called Liverpool Student Media.

He is a former radio journalist having spent time with the BBC where he was one of the organisations youngest reporters and producers in BBC Local Radio at the age of 18. He spent periods with BBC Radio Surrey and BBC Southern Counties Radio as well as contributing as a freelance reporter to Radio Five Live. Brine also spent a year working in Chicago, USA with the Tribune Media Group's WGN Radio.

He has worked with one of the country's leading consultancy firms specialising in customer care, culture change, people development and new business opportunities among public and private sector clients.

Andrew David Lansley, CBE, MP (born 11 December 1956) is a British politician who has been the Secretary of State for Health since 2010, the Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for South Cambridgeshire since the 1997 general election, and was the Shadow Secretary of State for Health from June 2004 until becoming Secretary of State for Health in May 2010. Lansley's Health and Social Care Act 2012 is one of the most controversial plans of the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government, resulting in strong opposition from both the Royal College of Nursing and British Medical Association.

Born in Hornchurch, Essex, Lansley was educated at Brentwood School and the University of Exeter, gaining a BA in politics. During his time at Exeter University, Lansley was elected as President of the Guild of Students (Student Union), as a Broad Left candidate. His father, Thomas, worked in a pathology laboratory and was co-founder of the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine and chair of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Scientists.

Maria Frances Lewis Miller (born 26 March 1964 in Wolverhampton) is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Basingstoke since the 2005 general election. Miller is currently Parliamentary-Under Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

Born in Wolverhampton but brought up in Bridgend, South Wales, and was educated at the Brynteg Comprehensive School in Bridgend before studying for a BSc in Economics at the London School of Economics, In 1985, she joined Greys Advertising Ltd as an advertising executive and in 1990 she left to become a marketing manager with Texaco. She rejoined Greys in 1994 and served for five years as a director. She became a director for the Rowland Group (became Publicis Consultants) for four years from 1999.

She joined the Conservative Party in 1983 and she contested Wolverhampton North East at the 2001 general election but was defeated by the sitting Labour MP Ken Purchase. She has served as the Patron of the Wolverhampton North East Conservative Association since 2001. She was chairman of the Wimbledon Conservative Association for a year from 2002.

Michael Andrew Gove (born 26 August 1967) is a British politician, who currently serves as the Secretary of State for Education and as the Conservative Party Member of Parliament (MP) for the Surrey Heath constituency. He is also an author and former Times journalist who remains on friendly terms with proprietor Rupert Murdoch.

Born in Edinburgh, Gove was raised in Aberdeen and made an early career as a journalist. He was first elected to parliament in the 2005 general election, as the MP for the safe Conservative seat of Surrey Heath in South East England. He was first promoted to the shadow cabinet in 2007 under David Cameron, as the Shadow Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families.

After the formation of the coalition government in 2010, Gove was appointed the Secretary of State for Education.

Gove was born in Edinburgh. At four months old, he was adopted by a Labour-supporting family in Aberdeen, where he was brought up. His father ran a fish processing business; his mother was a lab assistant at the University of Aberdeen before working at the Aberdeen School for the Deaf.

David William Donald Cameron (pronunciation: /ˈkæmərən/; born 9 October 1966) is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, First Lord of the Treasury, Minister for the Civil Service and Leader of the Conservative Party. He represents Witney as its Member of Parliament (MP).

Cameron studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Oxford, gaining a first class honours degree. He then joined the Conservative Research Department and became Special Adviser to Norman Lamont, and then to Michael Howard. He was Director of Corporate Affairs at Carlton Communications for seven years.

He was defeated in his first candidacy for Parliament at Stafford in 1997, but was elected in 2001 as the Member of Parliament for the Oxfordshire constituency of Witney. He was promoted to the Opposition front bench two years later, and rose rapidly to become head of policy co-ordination during the 2005 general election campaign. With a public image of a youthful, moderate candidate who would appeal to young voters, he won the Conservative leadership election in 2005.
