What is a Free Spirit?🕊️ I know that everyone has their own definition or experience on being a Free Spirit, and that’s perfectly fine, but For me, being a free spirit has been waking up and being curious about life, in general, and knowing that you do not know everything there is to know about life and that there are many things to learn and experience every single day that you are here. It’s connecting with your intuition and following your heart and it’s many desires. Although, at times it may be scary, you still have this innate pull and drive to experience things in a way that’s most authentic and natural to you. It’s not following any social norms or customs, just because everyone else does it or are expected to do something or be a certain way. It’s being who you are, beyond all of the demands and expectations that others may put on you. It’s constantly asking yourself, “How do you feel?”, “What do you like?”, “What do you think is right?”, “What do you want to do?”, “Who are you, today?” It’s not allowing others to put labels or restrictions on you in life. It’s completely rejecting any forms of judgement or others telling us who we are and who we are not. We are enigmas and naturally cause people to question, wonder, and try to decipher our code. They usually will have hard times trying to crack the code, so it’s pretty much asinine. Trying to figure us out is pretty much a lost cause, because you will find yourself running in circles trying to fit us into any one category. So, good luck with wasting your time on that! We live by a high moral code and ultimately work towards freeing ourselves and others by leading by example. We don’t infringe on the beliefs of others or allow others to force their beliefs onto us. That is actually one of my pet peeves. We all have our own beliefs and they all should be respected. We may not follow any specific religious doctrines or codes. We are free, unchained, unbound, and natural in our connections to spirituality. You may find that we have strong values and opinions about life and stick to them, because that is who we naturally are. We know what we stand for and no one can tell us any different. Trying to get us to conform to your way of living might cause us to distance ourselves from you or immediately cut you off. We don’t like being caged or chained down. We are constantly changing from day to day and adding new ways of life with the many things we experience on a daily basis. You might find us changing things about our appearance, like hairstyles, makeup styles, and clothes and even discovering different hobbies and pastimes that might be a favorite at the moment. We also love movement and traveling. Discovering new things in life, new people, new cultures, new music, new foods, new art forms, new philosophies, but we will never be bound by any of those things, because we are always adding things and moving on to the next experience. That is one of the things that make us the unique people that we are. There is nothing wrong with being a free spirit. And even though there are many times where it may get lonely or others may not quite understand us, I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world. Doing what you want to do in life, marching to the beat of your own drum, not allowing others to tell you what’s right and wrong, how you should think or feel, and what you should believe in, etc, as long as it does not negatively affect another person or infringe on their well-being of course. We are all about freedom. Freedom to explore, freedom to experience, freedom to learn, and freedom to teach, freedom to be who we are naturally, a Free Spirit.
