Seasons in the Sun" was a worldwide hit song for Terry Jacks in 1974. It was first released in the United States and Canada early in the year, and rose to number one in America by March 2. An earlier recording appeared on The Kingston Trio's 1963 album, Time to Think. The song had also been done by English band The Fortunes in 1968, and by Pearls Before Swine in 1970/71.
The song was based on "Le Moribond" ("The Dying Man"), written by Jacques Brel in 1961. Brel's song was translated into English by poet Rod McKuen and this version was first recorded by Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio, but it did not sell. The Beach Boys also recorded the song but it was never released.
Terry Jacks, who had participated in the Beach Boys recording, and who had in fact introduced the song to the group, rewrote part of the lyrics to "lighten them up." Jacks' revisions tended to add a bit of ambiguity as to the nature of the storyteller's demise, allowing listeners the option to choose whether the death is from suicide over a failed life - quite possibly to escape drug addiction - or someone accepting death from natural causes, or cancer. References to a cheating wife were also removed.

Sun
The Sun (in Greek: Helios, in Latin: Sol) is the star at the center of the Solar System and is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. It is a nearly perfect spherical ball of hot plasma, with internal convective motion that generates a magnetic field via a dynamo process. Its diameter is about 109 times that of Earth, and it has a mass about 330,000 times that of Earth, accounting for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System.About three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen; the rest is mostly helium, with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon and iron.
The Sun is a G-type main-sequence star (G2V) based on spectral class and it is informally referred to as a yellow dwarf. It formed approximately 4.567 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of matter within a region of a large molecular cloud. Most of this matter gathered in the center, whereas the rest flattened into an orbiting disk that became the Solar System. The central mass became increasingly hot and dense, eventually initiating nuclear fusion in its core. It is thought that almost all stars form by this process.

Kyoto Jazz Massive
Kyoto Jazz Massive is a musical project specialising in broken beat and electronic styles, consisting of the two brothers Okino Shuya and Okino Yoshihiro. The group has also included Hajime Yoshizawa, the pianist producer, on a number of works and albums. Although the brothers DJed in the late 1980s and were remixing and composing as far back as the early 1990s, they were largely popularised by the British Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson in around 2001. The brothers are currently signed to Compost Records.
The group has held a number of events and shows in and around Japan, and have worked with countless artists through remixing tunes or production of their own tracks, and have worked with several labels. They include (but are not limited to) Bebel Gilberto, Monday Michiru, DJ Krush, Especial Records, Far Out Records, Yellow Productions.

Terry Jacks
Terrence Ross "Terry" Jacks (born March 29, 1944, Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, record producer and environmentalist, best known for his 1974 hit song "Seasons in the Sun".
Early life
Terry Jacks was born and raised in Winnipeg. His family relocated to Vancouver in the early 1960s. Jacks took up guitar in his teens and at 18 formed a band called The Chessmen with guitarist Guy Sobell. The group had four top-ten hits in Vancouver between 1964 and 1966.
Following The Chessmen, Terry and Susan Pesklevits (Susan Jacks), whom he later married, formed The Poppy Family along with Craig McCaw and Satwant Singh. They had several hits in Canada and internationally, their biggest being "Which Way You Goin' Billy?", which went to #1 in Canada and #2 on the Billboard charts in the U.S. The song was written and produced by Terry Jacks which earned him a Gold Leaf (Juno) award in 1970 for his production.
"Seasons in the Sun"
The song "Seasons in the Sun", released in late 1973 on his own record label, Goldfish Records, became the largest-selling international single by a Canadian artist at that time, eventually selling 14 million copies worldwide. It earned Jacks two Juno Awards and became one of the biggest selling Canadian Singles of all time.

Seasons in the Sun" was a worldwide hit song for Terry Jacks in 1974. It was first released in the United States and Canada early in the year, and rose to number one in America by March 2. An earlier recording appeared on The Kingston Trio's 1963 album, Time to Think. The song had also been done by English band The Fortunes in 1968, and by Pearls Before Swine in 1970/71. The song was based on "Le Moribond" ("The Dying Man"), written by Jacques Brel in 1961. Brel's song was translated into English by poet Rod McKuen and this version was first recorded by Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio, but it did not sell. Hello, I’m Ellen Goldberg and welcome to a tarot moment from the School of Oracles. In this segment we’re going to take a peek at the fool card. The fool is the first card of the Major Arcana. Its number is zero and that means that the zero, which is the ellipse of spirit, represents the no thing, which is one of the names of game. When is something no-thing in particular, it also means it’s everything and the fool is everything and everywhere. Therefore no matter what system you use and whether they place the fool at the beginning, the end or in the middle of the deck, they’re right because it is. Spirit permeates everything and this is thecard that represents the presence of the Holy Spirit. The fool is drawn as a young person and really rather androgynous, in fact many times they refer to is at the Holy Androgyne because spirit is neither masculine nor feminine or, we could say,both really.
It’s young because spirit is always young. You’ll notice in the card that there is arising sign behind…a sun behind it representing that the sun is also spirit and notice how the fool’s staff is in direct alignment with one of the rays of the sun. The sun is rising in the east because spirit is not at its zenith, as soon as something’s at its zenith, then it starts to go downward and so they show in this card a young person a rising sun; the way spirit is forever fresh.
In Kabbalah they believe that the world has not only been created by the divine, by God, but it is constantly being created. The fool is represented or is allied with the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet and 22 major trumps and in Kabbalistic tarot, which is kind of what I’m talking about here, the meaning of the card draws so much of its meaning from the Hebrew letter and all of the associations that were given to that letter. This letter is Aleph, aleph is humble letter that actually has no real sound. Its sound is the sound of breath and in the Kabbalistic law they say that when God was putting the alphabet together it was humble Aleph who didn't even come forward to request being the first letter that they gave this place of honor. And it sounds, “hhhhaaaa”, like the sound of breath being expelled.
I say that because Aleph is associated with the divine life breath of Ruach alone because it is the fiery or scintillating intelligence. Says the Kabbalah, “It is the fire, the breath that brings life into our body”. The fool, if you meditate on it, meaning all you have to do is put it in front of you and gaze at it for five minutes at a time, allow yourself to let your eyes roam over it and it will sort of rise up off the page and, in someway, it will enter you and stimulate your own unconscious. It will bring to you a spiritual effervescence. It raises your spirits, it encourages creativity and new cycles of life.
The fool is an archetype of spirit and it is found in all cultures in different forms and like all archetypes, it has a higher and lower polarity. In its highest polarity,this card will represent for you, many times in a reading, originality,spiritual motivation, leaping into a new phase of life. On the lower polarity, well then it really could be foolishness, eccentricity, wild crazy schemes and really taking chances and leaping before you look.
This card, this fool is about to walk off the side of a cliff. It means that…it shows us, spirit, descending gladly down into the world of manifestation. It comes down here but you have to be a little bit of a fool if you know life on planet earth to take an incarnation on this planet because this is not an easy place. But meditating on a card like a fool to lift your spirits, bring spirit closer to you is the best antidote.

I first discovered Mochras (Shell Island) on a day visit with my young family back in 1976.....but it was not until 10 years later in 1986 that we returned for the first of many camping trips that were to follow in the years following.. Mochras (Shell Island...for that is the name it is better known as by the many who visit and take a camping holiday there), is situated near the Welsh village of Llanbedr, which can be found at the top end of Cardigan Bay, Wales... between the towns of Harlech and Barmouth. There is a causeway that leads from the land side to reach 'the island', and on high tides the causeway can be covered for up to 2 hours on each tide, thereby making access via the causeway impossible until the tide has dropped.
Shell Island is for me, my 'Spiritual Home', where I've found peace and enjoyment with the many friends I've made and found there. I'm not a great traveller and I'm therefore content with my regular visits to Shell Island, and after 30 years I'm still as excited as I was all of those years ago whenever I set off on a Shell Island trip. These days, I have my Motorhome which I live and stay in, but over the years we've had Trailer tents, and then a boat which my wife and I would live on while we were there.
I wrote 'BEAUTIFUL PLACE' in 2000, and the lyrics are a reflection of my thoughts and experiences while at Shell Island. The video clips were taken during some visits over the past year or two.

This is a video designed to teach one specific skill for DJ'ing ... creating a DJ mix using Ableton Live software. It is a very detailed examination that guides the viewer step by step in the process of arranging tracks, cross-fading, and adding automation.
This particular method should not be considered to be appropriate for a live DJ performance, although Ableton Live can be used differently for that purpose. This is only for producing a studio mix. I'm working on a separate video right now to cover live performances with Ableton.
Unfortunately, as of early 2014, YouTube annotations are not visible to mobile viewers, only to users watching on desktop browsers. I use annotations quite frequently to post clarifications and additional information during the video. For the best educational experience, you might prefer to watch this video in a desktop browser rather than on mobile, unless YouTube eventually fixes the mobile annotation deficiency.

Song explanation:
This song is about a man who goes out into space looking for another planet for mankind, as Earth is about to collapse. He becomes lost and unsure of his mission as he discovers that there is indeed no life on Mars. Effectively, he gives up entirely, but finds himself continuing with the quest anyway. This makes him come to realize once and for all that there is indeed a God, and that he is guiding this man on his quest out into a new world. The repetition of the "oasis in the sky" lines, with altered wording, makes this obvious.
Renewed in faith, the character (wordlessly) continues his search, and then fades out of known space in the long silence. The fourth part reveals he has indeed found his destination, and the sweet yet sad closing movement takes humanity back to the beginning.
I divide this piece into four movements, as if this story was a Biblical rebirth, a return to Genesis as it were.
Movement I, 0:00 to 9:19: "Fallen"
Movement II, 9:19 to 16:59: "Revelation"
Movement III, 16:59 to 27:18: "Exodus" (Instrumental)
Movement IV, 27:18 to 34:18: "Genesis" (Instrumental)
Conveniently, "Genesis" lasts seven minutes on the dot, which returns back to the religious theme.
"Genesis" is quite simply one of the most beautiful passages in all of music. It might seem familiar (some comment they've heard it in a movie), but when something is so incredibly amazing, who cares?

Song explanation:
This song is about a man who goes out into space looking for another planet for mankind, as Earth is about to collapse. He becomes lost and unsure of his mission as he discovers that there is indeed no life on Mars. Effectively, he gives up entirely, but finds himself continuing with the quest anyway. This makes him come to realize once and for all that there is indeed a God, and that he is guiding this man on his quest out into a new world. The repetition of the "oasis in the sky" lines, with altered wording, makes this obvious.
Renewed in faith, the character (wordlessly) continues his search, and then fades out of known space in the long silence. The fourth part reveals he has indeed found his destination, and the sweet yet sad closing movement takes humanity back to the beginning.
I divide this piece into four movements, as if this story was a Biblical rebirth, a return to Genesis as it were.
Movement I, 0:00 to 9:19: "Fallen"
Movement II, 9:19 to 16:59: "Revelation"
Movement III, 16:59 to 27:18: "Exodus" (Instrumental)
Movement IV, 27:18 to 34:18: "Genesis" (Instrumental)
Conveniently, "Genesis" lasts seven minutes on the dot, which returns back to the religious theme.
"Genesis" is quite simply one of the most beautiful passages in all of music. It might seem familiar (some comment they've heard it in a movie), but when something is so incredibly amazing, who cares?

The first of a two day event, the Mount Hagen show is one of the biggest sing-sings (traditional ceremonies) of the year. Villagers from all over the region come to showcase their costumes, music, dance and culture. The festival has been running since the 1960s and was originally about promoting peace between warring tribes. Today, it's an opportunity to experience first-hand the customs of about 80 tribes in one of the most culturally intact places in the world.
An old man applies black paint to a young boy's arm. Their female companion tells me that "all the men, from the smallest to the biggest" honor their ancestors by dressing as old men. They shave the tops of their heads to look like balding men and use the cropped hair to make facial hair for the young boys. Jewelry crafted from threaded seeds, tree nuts, animal tusks and pig's jawbones crisscross their torsos. When they dance – rubbing their hands together and jogging on the spot in two parallel lines – the rattling of shells, bones and seed necklaces form a mesmerizing percussion to their low chant. Many costumes evoke ancestral spirits and, although most performers won't initiate conversation, they are excited and happy when asked to tell the stories behind their costumes.
With the equatorial sun blazing high in the sky, groups enter the arena, one by one. A K300 ticket (equivalent to more than one month's income for the average Papua New Guinean) buys unfettered access, which means almost all the spectators are foreigners. Beyond the gates, hundreds of locals stand shoulder-to-shoulder, their bodies pressed flat against the fence, fingers clasping wire, faces peering excitedly. I feel a pinch of guilt that foreigners like me may do as we please while those to whom this culture belongs must stand on the sidelines.
Inside the gates, the arena is an explosion of color and rhythm, a whirlwind of pounding feet and bouncing heads. Guttural chants run fingers down my spine and the beat of kundu drums throbs deep in my chest. A high-pitched cry strikes a note between bird call and wailing cat. Tourists wielding oversized cameras duck and weave between performers, jostling for the best angle, snapping selfies – and snapping at other tourists to get out of the way. For their part, performers seem proud to be celebrities for a weekend, primping and posing with interminable patience. Sun Gazing 4 is the next step from the previous sun gazing videos in a way that shows the behaviors and activities of sun gazing. Gnostic Pink is not just starring at the sun but also the rituals and activities done by the individuals, or groups that eat the sun. This is done in a ritual ceremony known as Gnostic mass. Gnostic mass was written by Aliester Crowley, the best known grand master of a Freemason order called the Ordo Templi Orientis.
In the first Sun Gazing video we took a close look at the reality behind it, and the technical physics on how it works with unclean spirits. Pink hour is within the first hour of the sun rise, and the within the last hour of sun set. The UV light rays are mostly at 0% during these times, allowing other energies like unclean spirits to pass through the fire. So the OTO does this with the host, or human as well to accept those demonic energies. Sun Gazing 2: People Of The Sun we took a look at the different types of people that do this demonic art and much of the outcomes from it. The hostage situation at a Delaware prison ended early Thursday morning with a Department of Correction employee dead and Delaware State Police ending the standoff by storming the building, ABC News reported. The standoff inside the James T.
