On 15 June 1988 an unmarked military van carrying six British Army soldiers was blown up by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (Provisional IRA) at Market Square in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The explosion took place at the end of a charity marathon run in which the soldiers had participated. All six soldiers were killed in the attack - four outright, one on his way to hospital and another later on in hospital.
Lisburn hosted the headquarters of the British Army in Northern Ireland. Four of the dead were from the Royal Signals regiment whilst the other two were from the Green Howards and Royal Army Ordnance Corps regiments respectively. A booby-trap bomb was hidden under the Ford Transit van in which the soldiers were travelling, and was designed in such a way that the blast had gone upwards to cause maximum damage to the vehicle. Eleven civilian bystanders were injured, including a two-year-old child and 80-year-old man.

In the first shot we see 9002 & 206 passing Lisburn with the 10:27 Belfast Central to Dublin Connolly Test Train.
Then we see the set passing City Hospital with the 13:05 Dublin Connolly to York Road Test Train.

Lisburn (Irish: Lios na gCearrbhach) is a city in Northern Ireland. It is situated southwest of Belfast on the River Lagan which forms the boundary between County Antrim and County Down. Lisburn forms part of the Belfast metropolitan area. It had a population of 71,465 people in the 2001 Census and a population density of 243 per km². The wider council area has a growing population of 114,000, making it the second largest council district, after Belfast.
Formerly a borough, Lisburn was granted city status in 2002 as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee celebrations. It is the third-largest city in Northern Ireland and the sixth-largest on the island of Ireland, though the proposed changes to the status of Tallaght would render it seventh.
The town was originally known as Lisnagarvy (also spelt Lisnagarvey, Lisnegarvey, Lisnegarvy, Lisnegarvagh or Lisnagarvagh) after the townland in which it formed. This is derived from Irish: Lios na gCearrbhach meaning "ringfort of the gamesters/gamblers".

On 15 June 1988 an unmarked military van carrying six British Army soldiers was blown up by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (Provisional IRA) at Market Square in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The explosion took place at the end of a charity marathon run in which the soldiers had participated. All six soldiers were killed in the attack - four outright, one on his way to hospital and another later on in hospital.
Lisburn hosted the headquarters of the British Army in Northern Ireland. Four of the dead were from the Royal Signals regiment whilst the other two were from the Green Howards and Royal Army Ordnance Corps regiments respectively. A booby-trap bomb was hidden under the Ford Transit van in which the soldiers were travelling, and was designed in such a way that the blast had gone upwards to cause maximum damage to the vehicle. Eleven civilian bystanders were injured, including a two-year-old child and 80-year-old man.

Belfast Twelfth 2015: Highlights from the Return Parade
A selection of sights and sounds of the return 'Twelfth' parade in Belfast held this year on Monday 13 July. The return parade is traditionally more relaxed than the morning outgoing. This being Belfast that means big and brash but cheerful and good natured. The Belfast Orange Lodges were making their annual celebration of the Battle of the Boyne (1690) and memorial of the Battle of the Somme (started July 1916). The route back into the centre of Belfast is the same for most lodges as the morning parade, about six miles long. I managed to find a relatively quiet spot on the Lisburn Road (outside the police station!). A selection of sights and sounds of the return 'Twelfth' parade in Belfast held this year on Monday 13 July. The return parade is traditionally more relaxed than the morning outgoing. This being Belfast that means big and brash but cheerful and good natured.
The Belfast Orange Lodges were making their annual celebration of the Battle of the Boyne (1690) and memorial of the Battle of the Somme (started July 1916).
The route back into the centre of Belfast is the same for most lodges as the morning parade, about six miles long. I managed to find a relatively quiet spot on the Lisburn Road (outside the police station!).
There were over sixty bands on parade and the following nineteen bands (all flute bands of various types) are featured in this video:

Papa Wemba, a musician known around the world as the king of Congolese rumba, has died following a collapse on stage during a concert, officials said. He was 66.
