What’s happening in this movie clip?
Dr Octopus (Alfred Molina from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Frida) shows off his new technology to journalists and investors. Robotic arms that are connected to the spine with artificial intelligence. After the success of the robotic arms, Dr Octopus now will show the power of the fusion reactor, with a little pebble that turns into a mini sun. However, the reactor starts pulling metals into it and becoming unstable. Harry (James Franco from The Interview and 127 hours) demands the doctor to stop the operation and unplug the reactor, however, he doesn’t listen. Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire from The Great Gatsby and Seahorse) tries to intervene, however, he gets slammed to the wall by the robotic hands. The reactor pulls the window frames, breaking the glass and killing the doctor’s assistant.

What’s the movie about?
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) struggles to manage both his personal life and his Spider-Man duties. He wonders if he should give up his superhero life as Spider-Man to be with the woman he loves.
However, he must prevent his mentor Dr Octopus (Alfred Molina), a brilliant scientist, from recreating an experiment that could destroy New York City.

Here's how we made some real life mind controlled Dr. Octopus arms featured in Spider-Man 2 as well as Spider-Man comics. The arms feature four arms total mounted to the users back. The two lower arms have precision ability and feature 14 independently moving joints that allow it to move in the classic snake like method. The two upper arms feature some high strength pneumatics that allow the user theoretically to life upwards of 300 pounds although so far only half that weight has been tested.
The arms are controlled with joysticks and also feature mind control capabilities with the help of an EEG interface. When the user is focused, the robot will activate!

Doctor Octopus
Doctor Octopus (real name Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius), also known as Doc Ock, Doc Octopus, and the Superior Spider-Man, is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A highly intelligent mad scientist, Doctor Octopus is one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies. He is typically portrayed as a stocky, myopic man who utilizes four powerful, mechanical appendages, and is obsessed with proving his own genius and destroying Spider-Man.
The character has appeared in numerous Spider-Man cartoons and video games, and is portrayed by Alfred Molina in the 2004 film Spider-Man 2. In 2009, Doctor Octopus was ranked as IGN's 28th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time. Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "Created by Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Doc Ock, as he became known, has become one of the web slinger's most persistent and dangerous foes."
Publication history
The character of Doctor Octopus first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #3 (July 1963), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Lee recounted that "usually in creating a villain the first thing I would think of was a name, and then I would try to think of, 'Well, now that I've got the name, who's the character going to be and what will he do?' For some reason, I thought of an octopus. I though, 'I want to call somebody Octopus. And I want him to have a couple of extra arms just for fun.' But I had to figure out how to do that." The character soon appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #11 and #12, and again in #31 - 33.

Dr Octopus (Alfred Molina from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Frida) shows off his new technology to journalists and investors. Robotic arms that are connected to the spine with artificial intelligence. After the success of the robotic arms, Dr Octopus now will show the power of the fusion reactor, with a little pebble that turns into a mini sun. However, the reactor starts pulling metals into it and becoming unstable. Harry (James Franco from The Interview and 127 hours) demands the doctor to stop the operation and unplug the reactor, however, he doesn’t listen. Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire from The Great Gatsby and Seahorse) tries to intervene, however, he gets slammed to the wall by the robotic hands. The reactor pulls the window frames, breaking the glass and killing the doctor’s assistant.

Here's how we made some real life mind controlled Dr. Octopus arms featured in Spider-Man 2 as well as Spider-Man comics. The arms feature four arms total mounted to the users back. The two lower arms have precision ability and feature 14 independently moving joints that allow it to move in the classic snake like method. The two upper arms feature some high strength pneumatics that allow the user theoretically to life upwards of 300 pounds although so far only half that weight has been tested.
The arms are controlled with joysticks and also feature mind control capabilities with the help of an EEG interface. When the user is focused, the robot will activate!

What’s happening in this movie clip?
Dr Octopus (Alfred Molina from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Frida) shows off his new technology to journalists and investors. Robotic arms that are connected to the spine with artificial intelligence. After the success of the robotic arms, Dr Octopus now will show the power of the fusion reactor, with a little pebble that turns into a mini sun. However, the reactor starts pulling metals into it and becoming unstable. Harry (James Franco from The Interview and 127 hours) demands the doctor to stop the operation and unplug the reactor, however, he doesn’t listen. Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire from The Great Gatsby and Seahorse) tries to intervene, however, he gets slammed to the wall by the robotic hands. The reactor pulls the window frames, breaking the glass and killing the doctor’s assistant.

What’s the movie about?
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) struggles to manage both his personal life and his Spider-Man duties. He wonders if he should give up his superhero life as Spider-Man to be with the woman he loves.
However, he must prevent his mentor Dr Octopus (Alfred Molina), a brilliant scientist, from recreating an experiment that could destroy New York City.

Here's how we made some real life mind controlled Dr. Octopus arms featured in Spider-Man 2 as well as Spider-Man comics. The arms feature four arms total mounted to the users back. The two lower arms have precision ability and feature 14 independently moving joints that allow it to move in the classic snake like method. The two upper arms feature some high strength pneumatics that allow the user theoretically to life upwards of 300 pounds although so far only half that weight has been tested.
The arms are controlled with joysticks and also feature mind control capabilities with the help of an EEG interface. When the user is focused, the robot will activate!

Doctor Octopus
Doctor Octopus (real name Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius), also known as Doc Ock, Doc Octopus, and the Superior Spider-Man, is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A highly intelligent mad scientist, Doctor Octopus is one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies. He is typically portrayed as a stocky, myopic man who utilizes four powerful, mechanical appendages, and is obsessed with proving his own genius and destroying Spider-Man.
The character has appeared in numerous Spider-Man cartoons and video games, and is portrayed by Alfred Molina in the 2004 film Spider-Man 2. In 2009, Doctor Octopus was ranked as IGN's 28th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time. Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "Created by Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Doc Ock, as he became known, has become one of the web slinger's most persistent and dangerous foes."
Publication history
The character of Doctor Octopus first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #3 (July 1963), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Lee recounted that "usually in creating a villain the first thing I would think of was a name, and then I would try to think of, 'Well, now that I've got the name, who's the character going to be and what will he do?' For some reason, I thought of an octopus. I though, 'I want to call somebody Octopus. And I want him to have a couple of extra arms just for fun.' But I had to figure out how to do that." The character soon appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #11 and #12, and again in #31 - 33.
