Dilly is usually left to himself so that he doesn't become too dependent, but user 'TYarber37' makes sure he always has plenty of water and leads him to bugs. He looks for her now when he hears her voice.

A Georgia man and an armadillo failed in a bid to kill the man's mother-in-law. Joking aside, this bizarre story could have ended rather differently if the bullet had taken a bit of different trajectory.
A man in Lee County, Georgia had an armadillo problem and decided to shoot it. But armadillos are tough; they aren't bullet proof, of course, but a 9 millimeter bullet isn't up to the task.
The man shot his 9mm handgun at the animal, which did reportedly die, but not before getting a little post-mortem vengeance. The bullet ricocheted off the beast, bounced off a fence, entered a porch door, plowed through the recliner chair his mother-in-law was sitting in — and finally, entered his mother-in-law.
The mother-in-law was only slightly injured and will recover fully. No charges were filed, but authorities recommended the man use a shotgun next time he needs to dispatch an armadillo.

Armadillos are New World placental mammals with a leathery armor shell. The Dasypodidae are the only surviving family in the order Cingulata, part of the superorder Xenarthra, along with the anteaters and sloths. The word armadillo in Spanish means "little armored one". The Aztec called them azotochtli, Nahuatl for “turtle-rabbit”.
There are approximately ten extant genera and around 20 extant species of armadillo, some of which are distinguished by the number of bands on their armor. Their average length is about 75 centimetres (30 in), including tail; the giant armadillo grows up to 150 centimetres (59 in) and weighs up to 59 kilograms (130 lb), while the pink fairy armadillos are diminutive species with an overall length of 12 to 15 centimetres (5 to 6 in). All species are native to the Americas, where they inhabit a variety of environments.
Armadillos species are primarily found in South and Central America, particularly in Paraguay and surrounding areas. Many species are endangered. Some species groups, such as the long-nosed armadillos, are widely distributed over the Americas, whereas others, such as the fairy armadillos, are concentrated in smaller ranges in South America. One species, the nine-banded armadillo, (Dasypus novemcinctus), is found in the United States, primarily in the south-central states (notably Texas), but with a range that extends as far east as South Carolina and Florida and as far north as Nebraska; they have been consistently expanding their range in North America over the last century due to a lack of natural predators, and have been found as far north as southern Illinois.

Plot: Tiny is the forest ranger's dog, still really a puppy. He is friends with many of the forest animals, especially Dr. Owl, who protects the animals of the forest. One day, a mysterious stranger hires two bumbling poachers to capture a selection of animals. But Dr. Owl keeps thwarting their efforts. They realize they must take Dr. Owl out of the picture. They capture him and begin to collect their other animals. Tiny and his forest friends realized that they must free Dr. Owl and defeat the poachers, but only by combining their talents.

This little guy has made a backyard his home for the past 3 days. Now named Dilly, his mother is no where to be seen. Dilly is usually left to himself so that he doesn't become too dependent, but user 'TYarber37' makes sure he always has plenty of water and leads him to bugs. Half of the armadillos I see run like hell when they notice me, the other half completely ignore me. I've now touched two of them because they wandered right up to me, and it's hilarious when they jump and scuttle away. The poking and jumping is at 1:40. -

Gun fail: 9mm bullet ricochets off armadillo and hits shooter's mother-in-law
A Georgia man and an armadillo failed in a bid to kill the man's mother-in-law. Joking aside, this bizarre story could have ended rather differently if the bullet had taken a bit of different trajectory. A man in Lee County, Georgia had an armadillo problem and decided to shoot it. But armadillos are tough; they aren't bullet proof, of course, but a 9 millimeter bullet isn't up to the task. The man shot his 9mm handgun at the animal, which did reportedly die, but not before getting a little post-mortem vengeance. The bullet ricocheted off the beast, bounced off a fence, entered a porch door, plowed through the recliner chair his mother-in-law was sitting in — and finally, entered his mother-in-law. A Georgia man and an armadillo failed in a bid to kill the man's mother-in-law. Joking aside, this bizarre story could have ended rather differently if the bullet had taken a bit of different trajectory.
A man in Lee County, Georgia had an armadillo problem and decided to shoot it. But armadillos are tough; they aren't bullet proof, of course, but a 9 millimeter bullet isn't up to the task.
The man shot his 9mm handgun at the animal, which did reportedly die, but not before getting a little post-mortem vengeance. The bullet ricocheted off the beast, bounced off a fence, entered a porch door, plowed through the recliner chair his mother-in-law was sitting in — and finally, entered his mother-in-law.
The mother-in-law was only slightly injured and will recover fully. No charges were filed, but authorities recommended the man use a shotgun next time he needs to dispatch an armadillo.
