Annelies Marie Frank (German pronunciation: [ʔanəliːs maˈʁiː ˈʔanə ˈfʁaŋk]; Dutch pronunciation: [ʔɑnəˈlis maːˈri ˈʔɑnə ˈfrɑŋk]; 12 June 1929 – February or March 1945) was a German-born diarist and writer. She is one of the most discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Her diary, The Diary of a Young Girl, which documents her life in hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II, is one of the world's most widely known books and has been the basis for several plays and films.
Born in the city of Frankfurt, Germany, she lived most of her life in or near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Born a German national, Frank lost her citizenship in 1941 and thus became stateless. The Frank family moved from Germany to Amsterdam in the early 1930s when the Nazis gained control over Germany. By May 1940, they were trapped in Amsterdam by the German occupation of the Netherlands. As persecutions of the Jewish population increased in July 1942, the family went into hiding in some concealed rooms behind a bookcase in the building where Anne's father worked. In August 1944, the group was betrayed and transported to concentration camps. Anne and her sister, Margot, were eventually transferred to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where they allegedly died (probably of typhus) in February or March 1945, just weeks before the camp was liberated in April.
"Barbara Ann" is a song written by Fred Fassert that was first recorded by the Regents as "Barbara-Ann". Their version was released in 1961 and reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The most famous cover version was recorded in 1965 by the Beach Boys, issued as a single from their album Beach Boys' Party! with the B-side "Girl Don't Tell Me".
The Beach Boys recorded their version on September 23, 1965, five days after actress and model Barbara Anne Feldon made her first television appearance on Get Smart. Dean Torrence is featured on lead vocals along with Brian Wilson. Torrance is not credited on the album jacket, but "Thanks, Dean" is said by Carl Wilson at the end of the track.
The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart the week ending January 1, 1966. The week ending January 29, the song leaped from #15 to #2 and was in position to replace We Can Work It Out by The Beatles as the next #1 song. However, My Love by Petula Clark unexpectedly vaulted into the #1 position the week ending February 5, 1966. Consequently, "Barbara Ann" peaked at #2 in the US Billboard Hot 100 (#1 in Cash Box and Record World) and at #3 in the UK in January 1966. It also topped the charts in Germany, Switzerland and Norway. It was The Beach Boys' biggest hit in Italy, reaching #4.

New York is a state in the Northeastern United States and is the United States' 27th-most extensive, fourth-most populous, and seventh-most densely populated state. The state has a maritime border in the Atlantic Ocean with Rhode Island, east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec to the north and Ontario to the west and north. The state of New York, with an estimated 19.8 million residents in 2015, is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City, the state's most populous city and its economic hub.
With an estimated population of nearly 8.5 million in 2014, New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States. The New York City Metropolitan Area is one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. New York City is a global city, exerting a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace defining the term New York minute. New York City makes up over 40% of the population of New York State. Two-thirds of the state's population lives in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and nearly 40% live on Long Island. Both the state and New York City were named for the 17th century Duke of York, future King James II of England. The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.
Anne, alternatively spelled Ann, is a form of the Latin female given name Anna. This in turn is a representation of the Hebrew Hannah, the name of the mother of the prophet Samuel. Anne is a common name in France.
It is sometimes used as a male name in the Netherlands (for example Anne de Vries). It has also been used for males in France (Anne de Montmorency) and Scotland (Lord Anne Hamilton).

Barbro Karlen shares memories from her childhood of being Anne Frank in a past life. Like Anne, Barbro was a child prodigy writer. in adulthood, to overcome her phobia of uniforms and to work with horses, Barbro served as a mounted police woman for the Swedish national police force. Anne Frank was persecuted as a Jew, whereas Barbro was born into a Christian family showing that religion can change from lifetime to lifetime. If the Nazis knew one could be born Jewish in one lifetime and Christian in another, the Holocaust could not have happended. Similarly, evidence of reincarnation can help quell violence we now witness in the Middle East.
Do we come back? Is reincarnation real? This video points you to the personal testimony of Barbro Karlen, from Sweden, who speaks of childhood memories of being Anne Frank She meets those who killed her; They have also reincarnated For both sides, there is unfinished business This 20 minute video is just the set up for the nearly 35 minute, sit down lecture I found many photos to help tell the story An Amazing tale The link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxsC-TGAwsQ Other links: A childhood friend of Anne Frank speaks about her: Auschwitz survivor Eva Schloss talks about her relationship with Anne Frank (Part 1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sORmRQBOdY8 Auschwitz survivor Eva Schloss talks about her relationship with Anne Frank (Part 2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWBDrR65m...
This a poem of mine that has personal significance for me as Jew. One side of my family escaped from Europe after WWII started. Besides admiring the creative talents that Anne Frank demonstrated, which the Nazis thwarted; the year of her birth happens to coincide with my mother's. The poem I'm reading is part of my collection, which was published in 2014 by Bright Hill Press. If you're interested in buying a copy of the book you can contact them at brighthillpress.org.

A chemistry project that me, Forrest, and Brandon had to do. It was supposed to be kind of an autobiographical song about Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb. And yes, that's my sweet ride in the beginning.

This is one of the few television interviews Otto Frank gave. Sitting in one of the rooms of the Secret Annex, he is talking about his surprise at the things Anne Frank wrote in her diary. Her thoughts on life, her self-criticism: this was not the daughter he had known Otto was the only member of his family to survive the holocaust. When he returned, Miep Gies gave him his daughters diary. She had saved it after the people in hiding had been arrested. After reading it, Otto Frank decided to publish the diary. As he puts it: To build up a future you have to know the past. The video is an excerpt from the television program The Legacy of Anne Frank, which was part of the series The Eternal Light by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America & NBC. It was broadcast on 24 December 1967...

In this 1988 interview, Harry Smith spoke with Miep Gies and Mary Steenburgen on the film The Attic: The Hiding of Anne Frank and Gies' time spent harboring the Jewish child in Amsterdam during the Holocaust.
Seated at her former desk in the current Anne Frank house, Miep Gies describes the fourth of August, 1944: the fearful day on which the eight hiders and two of their helpers were arrested. Miep's Viennese origins saved her from being arrested.
