HIDDEN ERROR: Usage of "alma_mater" is not recognized
Tony nominees Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (known as Pasek and Paul) are an award winning musical theatre composing team. Their works include A Christmas Story, Dogfight, Edges, Dear Evan Hansen, and James and the Giant Peach, and their original songs have been featured on NBC's Smash. They are graduates of the University of Michigan and winners of the 2007 Jonathan Larson Award, named after the late Rent composer, that honors achievement by composers, lyricists and librettists.

Pasek and Paul started working together as freshmen at the University of Michigan where they completed their BFA degrees in musical theatre in December 2006.
Works
A Christmas Story, The Musical
In 2010, Pasek and Paul joined the creative team of A Christmas Story, The Musical. The musical opened at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre on December 9, 2010. Since the Seattle premiere, the show recruited John Rando and choreographer Warren Carlyle to launch a national tour in 2011, concluding at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. The musical played a limited engagement on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 19, 2012 through December 30, 2012; this was Pasek and Paul's Broadway debut as songwriters.

Justin Paul

Justin Paul (born January 3, 1985) is an American theater and television composer.
Biography
Paul was raised in Connecticut and attended Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts in Westport, CT as well as Staples High School in Westport, CT. He graduated from the University of Michigan in December 2006 with a BFA in Musical Theatre.
He is the co-creator , with Benj Pasek of the song cycle Edges. Also with Pasek, he is one of the songwriters for the Disney Channel show Johnny and the Sprites.Pasek and Paul won the Jonathan Larson Award in 2007. He also co-wrote and co-composed the musical Dogfight, which opened Off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre in July 2012. He also composed the musical James and the Giant Peach with Benj Pasek. Most recently, they have created and written the score for the musical Dear Evan Hansen which premiered at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. in July 2015.

Philippine Idol
Philippine Idol is the first version of the Idol series in the Philippines, the 35th country in the world to air a local Idol adaptation and the sixth in Asia. The franchise was first awarded by FremantleMedia, 19 Entertainment and CKX, Inc. to ABC Development Corporation (ABC now TV5) in 2006 and then to GMA Network in 2008. Just like the premise of original show Pop Idol, Philippine Idol aims to find the best singer in the country who can be defined as the "national" singer. Local television personality Ryan Agoncillo hosted the program.Ryan Cayabyab (musical composer), Pilita Corrales (singer, known as Asia's Queen of Songs) and Francis Magalona (rapper and producer) were also judges of the show. Agoncillo, Corrales and Magalona auditioned to be part of the program, while Cayabyab was chosen by the program's producers. Meanwhile, actress Heart Evangelista hosted the daily updates program I ♥ Philippine Idol: Exclusive. Composer Mel Villena was the show's musical director.

One of my all-time favorite films is Chazelle’s previous project, “Whiplash”. The acting is superb, the appreciation for jazz runs deep, and the very last shot made me audibly gasp with awe. Full piano medley of all music from the 14-time Academy Award Nominated Motion Picture, “La La Land”, directed by Damien Chazelle, and starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
One of my all-time favorite films is Chazelle’s previous project, “Whiplash”. The acting is superb, the appreciation for jazz runs deep, and the very last shot made me audibly gasp with awe. Needless to say, I was quite excited to see this next flick of his, which seemed to be a modern musical, paying homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood. When I saw the film, I was amazed. I absolutely fell in love with the beautifully crafted music from La La Land, composed expertly by Justin Hurwitz, and immediately started learning the piano arrangements as soon as I returned from the cinema. There is such a wide range of genres featured in the Soundtrack and Score alike, and I adore every single piece of it. I hope you enjoy listening to my medley as much as I enjoyed arranging it. If you haven’t yet seen La La Land, what are you waiting for?! It well deserves every Oscar it’s nominated for, and is truly a modern classic.

Wesley, a broadway performer, after she just won a Tony Award. She speeches. (TRY AGAIN)
8 years ago, Wesley moves to New York to make her dream to be on broadway come true. But no one cares her much and talks to her. She wants to prove that she is SOMEONE. Not nothing. She gets a chance to take an audition for 1 day shows. 1 day shows are everyday, she tries different characters and directors to think which show is perfect for her. (I made up! This is only working in this concert ;)) (MIDDLE OF A MOMENT) 3 days later, she gets callback. She is READY TO BE LOVED. She does so many characters. She does a girl who fell in love (CLEVER), and VELOCIRAPTOR too. During the break, she goes to special place to meet her "man", OH HENRY! But he is dead. I mean broken. After that she finds a man who killed her Henry. She tells him that she is COSMOPOLITAN through the show. Then she shoot him. You know people turn to murder because of candy.
Next day, she joins Broadway Sings Sutton Foster concert. (SHOW OFF(MEDLEY)) But she was forced to leave this job because the police found out that she stole Sutton's Tony. After that she auditions tons of shows to prove I'M A STAR.

STORY
Wesley, a broadway performer, after she just won a Tony Award. She speeches. (TRY AGAIN)
8 years ago, Wesley moves to New York to make her dream to be on broadway come true. But no one cares her much and talks to her. She wants to prove that she is SOMEONE. Not nothing. She gets a chance to take an audition for 1 day shows. 1 day shows are everyday, she tries different characters and directors to think which show is perfect for her. (I made up! This is only working in this concert ;)) (MIDDLE OF A MOMENT) 3 days later, she gets callback. She is READY TO BE LOVED. She does so many characters. She does a girl who fell in love (CLEVER), and VELOCIRAPTOR too. During the break, she goes to special place to meet her "man", OH HENRY! But he is dead. I mean broken. After that she finds a man who killed her Henry. She tells him that she is COSMOPOLITAN through the show. Then she shoot him. You know people turn to murder because of candy.
Next day, she joins Broadway Sings Sutton Foster concert. (SHOW OFF(MEDLEY)) But she was forced to leave this job because the police found out that she stole Sutton's Tony. After that she auditions tons of shows to prove I'M A STAR.
