The Horseshoe Bend place-name may refer to any of several locations:
The Grand Canyon (Hopi: Ongtupqa; Yavapai: Wi:kaʼi:la, Spanish: Gran Cañón) is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the state of Arizona in the United States. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park, the Kaibab National Forest, Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, the Hualapai Tribal Nation, the Havasupai people and the Navajo Nation. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery.
The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet or 1,857 meters). Nearly two billion years of Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. While some aspects about the history of incision of the canyon are debated by geologists, several recent studies support the hypothesis that the Colorado River established its course through the area about 5 or 6 million years ago. Since that time, the Colorado River has driven the down-cutting of the tributaries and retreat of the cliffs, simultaneously deepening and widening the canyon.
Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon or The Crack; and Antelope Canyon or The Corkscrew.
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means "the place where water runs through rocks." Lower Antelope Canyon is Hazdistazí (advertised as "Hasdestwazi" by the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department), or "spiral rock arches." Both are located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation.
Antelope Canyon was formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding and secondarily due to other sub-aerial processes. Rainwater, especially during monsoon season, runs into the extensive basin above the slot canyon sections, picking up speed and sand as it rushes into the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways eroded away, making the corridors deeper and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form characteristic 'flowing' shapes in the rock.
A road trip is a journey on roads. Road Trip, Road trip, or Roadtrip may also refer to:
A horseshoe is a fabricated product, normally made of metal, although sometimes made partially or wholly of modern synthetic materials, designed to protect a horse's hoof from wear. Shoes are attached on the palmar surface of the hooves, usually nailed through the insensitive hoof wall that is anatomically akin to the human toenail, although much larger and thicker. However, there are many cases where shoes are glued.
The fitting of horseshoes is a professional occupation, conducted by a farrier, who specializes in the preparation of feet, assessing potential lameness issues, and fitting appropriate shoes, including remedial features where required. In some countries, such as the United Kingdom, horseshoeing is legally restricted to only people with specific qualifications and experience. In others, such as the United States, where professional licensing is not legally required, professional organizations provide certification programs that publicly identify qualified individuals.

Recorded June 6, 2010. Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona. It is located slightly downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about four miles south of Page. Accessible via a ¾-mile hike from U.S. Route 89, it can be viewed from the steep cliff with a breathtaking 1,000 foot drop. Also included at the end of the video is a scenic stretch of US89 south of Horseshoe Bend. From: http://timvp.com

Great American Road Trip - Day 26 Today was incredible... We woke up nice and early and set off with Antelope Canyon Tours to explore the beautiful rock formations carved from flash floods. After lunch and a quick skate sesh in the city park, we drove to Horseshoe Bend and sat on the edge of an epic cliff. Before the sun set we had a team car wash where things got a little weird... you can see for yourself. Huge Thanks to Antelope Canyon Tours for hooking us up! http://www.antelopecanyon.com VOTE WHERE WE GO and Leave a Comment if you have a suggestion on where we should visit next! It's been a Saturday everyday and a whole month of Sundays
And I get sadder every day he's gone
Horseshoe Bend old friend that's been so long since we saw him
When he laid me down upon your banks and made this girl a woman
As the Virgin Mother sang us a song
Horseshoe Bend he's just like you old river he'll keep rolling
And I'll keep praying someday he'll come home
It's been a Saturday everyday...
Here comes Frank again old friend and there ain't no sign of him
But just because I can't see him don't mean I forgot him
And I'll keep praying someday he'll come home
It's been a Saturday everyday...
