15 February 1971 was D-Day - or rather Decimalisation Day, when the British gave up their traditional pounds, shillings and pence (and guineas, ten-bob notes, half crowns and threepenny bits) in favour of what in theory was a much simpler system. But, as this film demonstrates, many found it confusing, particularly people like old Granny Collins (Doris Hare) who'd spent a long life with 'LSD' and wasn't about to change. This dramatised documentary, sponsored by the Decimal Currency Board, predicts the effects of decimalisation on her family and sought to explain the changes in ways that everyone could understand.

The Point! is a fable and the sixth album by American songwriter and musician Harry Nilsson about a boy named Oblio, the only round-headed person in the Pointed Village, where by law everyone and everything had to have a point.
There have been, so far, at least three different renditions of The Point!, each featuring songs written by Nilsson to accompany the story. There has been an animated film, an album, and a musical play.
The round-headed Oblio has had to wear a pointed hat since birth to conceal his "pointless" condition from his pointy-headed peers. However, Oblio is accepted in the town despite his nonconformity until one day when the son of an evil Count in the land is unwittingly dishonored by Oblio. The Count's son challenges Oblio to a one-on-one game of Triangle Toss (where participants catch the triangle on their heads), which Oblio wins. In a fit of rage, the Count (who wants his son to rule the land one day) confronts the King, who is a good King, to reaffirm the law of the land, which states that those who are pointless must be banished from the kingdom and into the Pointless Forest. A jury reluctantly convicts both Oblio and his dog Arrow (who helped him win the Triangle Toss), leaving the king no choice but to send the pair away.

Muy buena película de culto Dodgero. Es una remake para la TV de la película Vanishing Point de 1971. Viggo Mortensen le da su toque especial. Dedicada a toda la gente de Dodgetech.com.ar y a Argentochrysler.com.ar que me ayudaron mucho cuando tenía el Dodge GT 1970, de Industria Argentina, obvio. Acerca de los Dodge Argentinos y su descendiente Español, el 3700, En la película original de 1971 no hay nada mas parecido a ellos que el sedán de la policía, que no se que coche es, pero es muy parecido, creo que es un Plymouth Belvedere Pursuit, que es un B-Body y los Argentinos son como los Dart, o sea A-Body. Para ver otros Dodge Challenger o Charger no hay nada mejor que la saga de Rápido y Furioso, y para ver el Dodge Argentino/Español el film mas famoso es el de Batman de Tim Burton de 1989 en el que se usan de ''Jokermobile'' unos 3700 GT, autos que aparecen tambien en muchas películas Argentinas y Españolas. En Argentina se fabricó un Coupé sacado del sedán, con una estética que recuerda al Charger 68/69.

Granny Gets the Point (1971) - extract
15 February 1971 was D-Day - or rather Decimalisation Day, when the British gave up their traditional pounds, shillings and pence (and guineas, ten-bob notes, half crowns and threepenny bits) in favour of what in theory was a much simpler system. But, as this film demonstrates, many found it confusing, particularly people like old Granny Collins (Doris Hare) who'd spent a long life with 'LSD' and wasn't about to change. This dramatised documentary, sponsored by the Decimal Currency Board, predicts the effects of decimalisation on her family and sought to explain the changes in ways that everyone could understand. Tighten your seat belt. You never had a trip like this before. Kowalski works for a car delivery service. He takes delivery of a 1970 Dodge Challenger to take from Colorado to San Francisco, California. Shortly after pickup, he takes a bet to get the car there in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Along the way, Kowalski is guided by Supersoul - a blind DJ with a police radio scanner. Throw in lots of chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar and you've got a great cult hit from the early 70's. -

15 February 1971 was D-Day - or rather Decimalisation Day, when the British gave up their traditional pounds, shillings and pence (and guineas, ten-bob notes, half crowns and threepenny bits) in favour of what in theory was a much simpler system. But, as this film demonstrates, many found it confusing, particularly people like old Granny Collins (Doris Hare) who'd spent a long life with 'LSD' and wasn't about to change. This dramatised documentary, sponsored by the Decimal Currency Board, predicts the effects of decimalisation on her family and sought to explain the changes in ways that everyone could understand.

Acerca de los Dodge Argentinos y su descendiente Español, el 3700, En la película original de 1971 no hay nada mas parecido a ellos que el sedán de la policía, que no se que coche es, pero es muy parecido, creo que es un Plymouth Belvedere Pursuit, que es un B-Body y los Argentinos son como los Dart, o sea A-Body.
Para ver otros Dodge Challenger o Charger no hay nada mejor que la saga de Rápido y Furioso, y para ver el Dodge Argentino/Español el film mas famoso es el de Batman de Tim Burton de 1989 en el que se usan de ''Jokermobile'' unos 3700 GT, autos que aparecen tambien en muchas películas Argentinas y Españolas. En Argentina se fabricó un Coupé sacado del sedán, con una estética que recuerda al Charger 68/69.

Kowalski works for a car delivery service. He takes delivery of a 1970 Dodge Challenger to take from Colorado to San Francisco, California. Shortly after pickup, he takes a bet to get the car there in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Along the way, Kowalski is guided by Supersoul - a blind DJ with a police radio scanner. Throw in lots of chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar and you've got a great cult hit from the early 70's.
