Poor app You click one article to read yet a completely different one opens, poor layout, too much clutter, just all around bad app which is a shame bc I've always enjoyed the Huffington post. I will be deleting the app.

Just not what it used to be Major changes made a long time ago made the app week including ridiculous comments process.

Please fix the comments I'm dropping one star because I hate how the comments open in my browser instead of the app. Edit: Issue fixed

Frustrating experience Every time this app updated itself, my preferences in it were reset. The most recent update does not allow the removal of sections, causing all of the sections to appear when swiping through the app. I really didn't want to see the entertainment section or the TV section, as well as 15-20 of the other sections. Too annoying to continue to put up with. It is as if the devs never actually tested the update in any meaningful manner. Deleted.

We release updates every two weeks. Kindest regards. Frustrating experience Every time this app updated itself, my preferences in it were reset. The most recent update does not allow the removal of sections, causing all of the sections to appear when swiping through the app. I really didn't want to see the entertainment section or the TV section, as well as 15-20 of the other sections. Updates are always a mess I appreciate the political slant but this app has always been full of annoyances. Almost every update forces you to reset favorites and options. Saved articles get lost, etc. It's almost more annoying than its worth.
Huffington Post May 4, 2016
Hi, updates are designed to save all settings, options, and saved articles. As of the current version, 16.1.2 this system is definitely fully functional. Sorry for the issues you're having, we've definitely considered them in the development process though :-) Looks like Drudge Report now This app goes downhill with every update. Latest update made the app look like Drudge Report with the multiple headlines on the top entry. Also, why remove the dark theme for night reading? Nice that they finally added the built in comments back into the app, but they should have never been removed in the first place. Edit: Since the last update, HuffPo keeps opening the Google Play Store and sending me to the Yelp app download page every few articles.
Why the lack of a "night mode"/"dark theme"? It's better for the battery and better for the eyes. Can't give more than three stars until then.

Hi Tim, It's a current item we're working on. You'll have a night mode feature likely soon. Offline reading has never been reliable As long as I've used this app across various phones, the offline reading function says it has failed to download all of the content (no it's not my network or phone). And when it does say it has downloaded the content when you go to read it after takeoff for example, all you get is one error or another saying the content isn't available or hasn't downloaded, etc. Terrible.
Huffington Post April 18, 2016
Hi Michael, link outs to third party websites are not cached for offline reading. Only real HuffPost articles are cached and available offline. Headline clicks may or may not be linkout articles per the editor's discretion. Feel welcome to email us at android@huffingtonpost.com anytime, we're always happy to help. Sneaky ads Ads in the article stream that look exactly like regular content. There is a small font grey "sponsored" warning... But otherwise it's just a trick to get you to read an ad. Disgusting practice! (Edit, they responded to me, won't be fixing it. Gross)

Hi Brendan, I believe this inquiry was addressed via email, if I'm mistaken is there any further questions that I can help with? Love the content But most articles don't load saying I have no Internet connection. This happens on 4g and wifi, please fix!

5 bars, but a failed communication will trigger the same exact result as no connection available. We're considering changing it to "Please Try again" instead of "No Connection" as to avoid confusion. My recommendation is to Please Try Again :-) I also recommend restarting the telephone. Awful Sensationalism at its worst, copy and paste other major news sits articles, no original journalism or thought provoking reporting. Adheres to today's standards for liberal sensationalism. Laced with fact less articles only to invoke harsh feelings without disclosing Both sides. It's as bad as fox news is for liberals
the app is doing something strange When i select a news, the app is kinda flipping to a web page and going back to the Huff. app... Don't know if it is normal, but it is certainly annoying, please fix it... Thanks!!

Hi Phil, we've reported this malicious ad activity to the advertising provider. We are hopeful the bad ads are removed from circulation soon :-) Review deleted
