Andrew Stephen "Andy" Roddick (born August 30, 1982) is an American former World No. 1 professional tennis player.
He became a Grand Slam singles champion when he won the title at the 2003 US Open, defeating Juan Carlos Ferrero in the final. He is the most recent North American male player to win a Grand Slam singles event, the most recent to reach the top ranking, and the most recent to claim the year-end world No. 1 (2003). Roddick reached four other Grand Slam finals (Wimbledon in 2004, 2005, and 2009, and the US Open in 2006), losing to Roger Federer every time. He is married to Brooklyn Decker, a Sports Illustrated swimwear model and actress.
On August 30, 2012, during the 2012 US Open and on his 30th birthday, Roddick announced that he would retire after the tournament. Following a fourth-round defeat by Juan Martín del Potro, Roddick retired from the sport with the aim of focusing on his foundation, the Andy Roddick Foundation, in future years.
In 2015 Andy Roddick played for the Austin Aces in World Team Tennis. This was his eighth season in World Team Tennis and the fifth team he has played for.

Andy Roddick's hilarious post match interview after being destroyed by Roger Federer in what is said by many to be one of the best ever performances. I did not edit this video. The music in the background was part of the video file I discovered a few years ago and I simply uploaded it. Transcript of the interview: Reporter: Have you ever played anyone so hot as that before? Andy: He played well. I made some errors but he was definitely coming up with some shots tonight Reporter: What was it like for you being on the end of that? Andy: It was frustrating. It was miserable. It sucked. It was terrible. Besides that it was fine. Reporter: What did JImmy (Connors his coach) say after? Andy: He gave me a beer. Reporter: Take us from 4-4 cause up til then you were in the match....

A couple of months after he left the friendly confines of KRCR-TV in Redding, California, Rich Eisen made his national television debut on ESPN's SportsCenter in March of 1996. It was out of the frying pan and into the fire for him as he started smack dab in the middle of the NCAA March Madness season and the weekend of the Mike Tyson-Frank Bruno fight. Rich is joined by then-former San Francisco Bay Area sports anchor Larry Beil, who came to ESPN from KTVU Channel 2. Months later, Rich would team up with Stuart Scott and they would be a tag team until his departure for NFL Network nine years later. Copyright © 1996, 2015 ESPN, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
