Hei (album)

Hei is the debut album of the Norwegian child duo Marcus & Martinus, winners of the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2012. The album released on Sony Music Entertainment on 23 February 2015 and was immensely successful peaking at number 2 on the Norwegian VG-lista official albums chart.

A special follow-up album was released months later on 6 November 2015 also on Sony and included additional tracks. The special album was titled Hei – Fan-Spesial.

Josef Heiß

Joseph "Peppi" Heiß (born 13 June 1963 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, West Germany) is a retired German ice hockey goaltender.

He started his career with SC Riessersee in 1980. He played for Riessersee, Düsseldorfer EG and Kölner Haie.

After playing about 1200 games in the German League and 140 games for the German national men's hockey team he retired in 2001 because of a knee injury.

His daughter Stella Heiß is a successful curler who represented Germany at the 2010 Winter Olympics. At seventeen years, she was the youngest curler at the Games.

18 Aquilae

18 Aquilae (abbreviated 18 Aql) is a triple star system in the constellation of Aquila. 18 Aquilae is the Flamsteed designation; it also bears the variable star designation Y Aquilae. It has an apparent visual magnitude of 5.07. The distance to this system can be estimated from the annual parallax shift of 6.43 mas, yielding a value of around 510 light-years (160 parsecs) away from Earth.

The inner pair of stars in this system form a spectroscopic binary with a combined magnitude of 5.44 and an orbital period of 1.302 days. The primary component is a giant star with a stellar classification of B8 III. Because the orbital plane is inclined near the line of sight, two form an eclipsing binary system. The eclipse of the primary component causes a 0.04 drop in magnitude, while the eclipse of the secondary results in a decrease of 0.03. At an angular separation of 0.310 arcseconds is the magnitude 6.39 tertiary component. This system has a high peculiar velocity of 29.7 ± 3.9 km/s relative to the neighboring stars.

Homogeneous polynomial

In mathematics, a homogeneous polynomial is a polynomial whose nonzero terms all have the same degree. For example, is a homogeneous polynomial of degree 5, in two variables; the sum of the exponents in each term is always 5. The polynomial is not homogeneous, because the sum of exponents does not match from term to term. A polynomial is homogeneous if and only if it defines a homogeneous function. An algebraic form, or simply form, is a function defined by a homogeneous polynomial. A binary form is a form in two variables. A form is also a function defined on a vector space, which may be expressed as a homogeneous function of the coordinates over any basis.

A polynomial of degree 0 is always homogeneous; it is simply an element of the field or ring of the coefficients, usually called a constant or a scalar. A form of degree 1 is a linear form. A form of degree 2 is a quadratic form. In geometry, the Euclidean distance is the square root of a quadratic form.

Homogeneous polynomials are ubiquitous in mathematics and physics. They play a fundamental role in algebraic geometry, as a projective algebraic variety is defined as the set of the common zeros of a set of homogeneous polynomials.
