Ultralight aviation (called microlight aviation in some countries) is the flying of lightweight, 1 or 2 seat fixed-wing aircraft. Some countries differentiate between weight-shift control and conventional 3-axis control aircraft with ailerons, elevator and rudder, calling the former "microlight" and the latter "ultralight".
During the late 1970s and early 1980s, mostly stimulated by the hang gliding movement, many people sought affordable powered flight. As a result, many aviation authorities set up definitions of lightweight, slow-flying aeroplanes that could be subject to minimum regulations. The resulting aeroplanes are commonly called "ultralight aircraft" or "microlights", although the weight and speed limits differ from country to country. In Europe the sporting (FAI) definition limits the maximum take-off weight to 450 kg (992 lb) (472.5 kg (1,042 lb) if a ballistic parachute is installed) and a maximum stalling speed of 65 km/h (40 mph). The definition means that the aircraft has a slow landing speed and short landing roll in the event of an engine failure.
The Milholland Legal Eagle is an American high wing, strut-braced, single engine, tractor configuration, conventional landing gear-equipped ultralight aircraft that is available as plans from Better Half VW of Brookshire, Texas and also produced in kit form by J&N Bolding Enterprises of Baytown, Texas and intended for amateur construction.
The Legal Eagle is so named because it is capable of being built in legal compliance with the United States FAR 103 Ultralight Vehicles regulations, even when equipped with a four stroke engine.
The Legal Eagle features an open cockpit and is powered by a 30 hp (22 kW) Half VW engine.
The design features a fuselage of welded 4130 steel tubing, mated to an all-wood wing made from spruce. The struts and tail surfaces are made from 6061 T6 aluminium tubing. The flying surfaces are covered with doped aircraft fabric. The rear fuselage is normally left as an open truss structure to save weight and to ensure that the aircraft does not exceed the FAR 103 maximum speed of 55 knots (102 km/h; 63 mph). Like the fuselage, the taildragger landing gear is sprung steel.
A noun (from Latin nōmen, literally meaning "name") is a word that functions as the name of some specific thing or set of things, such as living creatures, objects, places, actions, qualities, states of existence, or ideas.Linguistically, a noun is a member of a large, open part of speech whose members can occur as the main word in the subject of a clause, the object of a verb, or the object of a preposition.
Lexical categories (parts of speech) are defined in terms of the ways in which their members combine with other kinds of expressions. The syntactic rules for nouns differ from language to language. In English, nouns are those words which can occur with articles and attributive adjectives and can function as the head of a noun phrase.
Word classes (parts of speech) were described by Sanskrit grammarians from at least the 5th century BC. In Yāska's Nirukta, the noun (nāma) is one of the four main categories of words defined.
The Ancient Greek equivalent was ónoma (ὄνομα), referred to by Plato in the Cratylus dialog, and later listed as one of the eight parts of speech in The Art of Grammar, attributed to Dionysius Thrax (2nd century BC). The term used in Latin grammar was nōmen. All of these terms for "noun" were also words meaning "name". The English word noun is derived from the Latin term, through the Anglo-Norman noun.
Eagle is a common name for many large birds of prey of the family Accipitridae; it belongs to several groups of genera that are not necessarily closely related to each other.
Most of the 60 species of eagles are from Eurasia and Africa. Outside this area, just 14 species can be found – two in North America, nine in Central and South America, and three in Australia.
Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with a heavy head and beak. Even the smallest eagles, like the booted eagle (Aquila pennata) (which is comparable in size to a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) or red-tailed hawk (B. jamaicensis)), have relatively longer and more evenly broad wings, and more direct, faster flight – despite the reduced size of aerodynamic feathers. Most eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from some vultures. The smallest species of eagle is the South Nicobar serpent eagle (Spilornis klossi), at 450 g (0.99 lb) and 40 cm (16 in). The largest species are discussed below. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons. The beak is typically heavier than that of most other birds of prey. Eagles' eyes are extremely powerful, having up to 3.6 times human acuity for the martial eagle, which enables them to spot potential prey from a very long distance. This keen eyesight is primarily attributed to their extremely large pupils which ensure minimal diffraction (scattering) of the incoming light. The female of all known species of eagles is larger than the male.
CGS Aviation, Inc. is an American aircraft manufacturer based in Grand Bay, Alabama. The company was founded by Chuck Slusarczyk in the early 1970s in Broadview Heights, Ohio as Chuck's Glider Supplies. Today it run by Danny Dezauche and specializes in the design and manufacture of ultralight aircraft in the form of kits for amateur construction and ready-to-fly aircraft in the US FAR 103 Ultralight Vehicles rules category.
The company started in the early 1970s as a hang glider manufacturer and aircraft parts supplier under the name Chucks' Glider Supplies. Founder Chuck Slusarczyk later carried out experiments with powered hang gliders and developed a reduction drive system to turn larger propellers more slowly to reduce noise and improve efficiency. He was granted a US patent for his system.
In October 1979 the company was renamed CGS Aviation, Inc.
In 1980 development of the CGS Hawk aircraft series was begun, starting with a survey of pilot expectations and desires for a new ultralight aircraft design.

http://www.sportaviationmagazine.com -- Legal Eagle - 12 Ultralight Aircraft that give the biggest bang for the buck! Coming in at # 10 on our list of ultralight aircraft that give you the biggest bang for your buck is the Legal Eagle. The Legal Eagle which was designed by Leonard Milholland is single seat, high wing, ultralight aircraft first introduced to the U.S. market at Sun N Fun in 1998. The name Legal Eagle came about when Leonard weighted the plane and it came in at 10 lbs less than the 254 lbs weight limit for the U.S. - thus "this Eagle is legal became the "LEGAL EAGLE." The plane features a welded fuselage with an all wood wing, similar to that of a Mini Max, the tail section is aluminums tube using pop rivets and gussets. Controls are standard stick and rudder, with aile...

http://RoyDawsonHomes.com CGS Aviation grew out of "Chuck's Glider Supplies." In the early 1970's, Chuck Slusarczyk designed, built, and sold hang gliders and various associated supplies. Shortly thereafter, he began experimenting with the powered hang glider, propelled at the time by small direct-drive go-kart engines. The propeller was bolted directly to the crankshaft of the engine and turned at high (5,000-6,000 rpm) speeds. Chuck realized that this design was not efficient. With this shortcoming as impetus, Chuck successfully designed and produced a power system implementing a reduction drive to turn a larger-diameter, more efficient propeller. By 1977, Chuck's Glider Supplies had become a leading manufacturer of hang gliders with a successful division producing power plants fo...

Now the leaves are blowin'
Down the avenue
And the bells are ringing
The love that I found in you
All around the city
Before the winter snow
The sidewalks are so busy
But I wouldn't even know
'Cause all the people in the whole wide world (whole wide world)
Don't mean nothin' if you ain't got your girl (got your girl)
All the people seem so far away
'Cause I only want you to stay
With me, with me
The summer was unending
I had to see it through
No use in my pretending
I love everything you do
All the people in the whole wide world (whole wide world)
Don't mean nothin' if you ain't got your girl (got your girl)
All the people seem so far away
'Cause I only want you to stay
With me, with me
Dragonflies dipped on the swimming pool
By July I had to keep my cool
(You were shining) You were shining like a living jewel
Inside I knew
Time stood still with you
And all the people in the whole wide world (whole wide world)
Don't mean nothin' if you ain't got your girl (got your girl)
All the people seem so far away
'Cause I only want you to stay
With me, with me
With me, with me
